  • (Swipe 3 photos) Shortly before leaving for our Arizona adventure I asked my fellow Instagramers for tips and must sees. The response was overwhelming, heart warming and extremely helpful as always. I thank you all for the kind suggestions. The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, in Tucson was repeatedly recommended. According to my Instagram community it was not to be missed. We were first in the parking lot at the 7:30 opening. This non traditional, hands on, mostly outdoor museum was a feast for the eyes. A plethora of cactus were in bloom, the hummingbirds were building their nests, Cruz the orphaned mountain lion was charming the crowd and much of the local wildlife were available for viewing in their natural outdoor setting.

The Desert Museum is ranked as one of the top 10 museums in the country on TripAdvisor. Allow around 3 hours to visit...even more if you have lunch in their lovely restaurant (Ocotillo Cafe). It’s kind of hidden....follow the signs and ask or you my end up in the less formal cafeteria, next door, which looked nice too.

  • There something I find so beautiful about coyotes. I think it's their incredible tenacity to survive, and their amazing ability to adapt. They are rugged and cunning, yet to watch them watch in their natural environment, I see a sort of elegance and gracefulness in how they roam and wander around the desert. I know I'll probably get a lot of flack for it, but I love coyotes and thankfully we get to see them all the time from our backyard out in the desert behind us.🥰

  • haven't shared any lovers in the wild for quite some time. these two are "ornately" passionate, but in the rocks rather than the "trees." count yourself cool if the dumb puns make sense. just a little cool though; ain't nothing like a nerd bird.

  • 🦅 Apparently a bald eagle was stolen the other day from a wildlife refuge in New York! I'd say perhaps the thief wanted to set it free, however the eagle was there because it can't fly. Maybe they wanted it as their pet? Weird. Anyhow, the one in this photo doesn't appear to like being caged, but it was being rehabilitated at the Liberty Wildlife in Phoenix so there's a chance it's back out in the wild now. 🦅
