Two words: bread and wine. The first time I tried wine was soaking it up with crusty bread after dinner as a kid. My Italian father would do this after almost every meal we had with red wine. I did not do that here *hence the white wine*, but I did pair my wine with a delicious meal. Do you choose your wine or food first when you go out to restaurants?
❤️: Armand Heitz Ostinato Rigore 2017
👀: Translucent yellow with a green tint
👃🏻: Agrumes (citrus) and herbaceous
👄: Light and crisp citrus with a vegetal and herbaceous twist
💌: This wine was recommended by the sommelier to accompany my meal at Frenchie Bar à Vins. I enjoyed it with a roasted cauliflower with vadouvan, grains, and smoked yogurt followed by an agnolotti with smoked eel. The citrus flavors of the wine were a nice contrast to the smokiness of the food.
Just two humble artists sharing the fruits of their labour with the world! Enjoyed an incredible vintner dinner with Burgundian winemaker Armand Heitz last night at Rhubarb Le Restaurant #armandheitz#rootcausenovel#stevenlaine

A galluptious evening at the Michelin one star establishment @rhubarb_le_restaurant where we paired the gorgeous wines of rising Burgundy star @armandheitz with the delectable creations of Chef Paul Longworth along with the immaculate service of Sommelier/Manager Jerome Desfonds. Thank you all for coming and making it a marvellous and memorable evening. 🙏🏻❤️🥂- And of course a special thank you to Armand for choosing Singapore as his first Asian destination. You are always welcome here and we hope you come back soon.

We have been working with @armandheitz since his first official vintage and his visit to Singapore allowed us to revisit an old friend, his 2013 Chevalier Montrachet, which is still singing a fine tune. It’s got a stylish nose, fragrant notes of orange and white flowers, round, elegant and harmonious. But it’s the 2014 where the vintage takes over, taking the wine to incredible heights. A stunning vintage which helped produce a home run for him. A powerful, rich and almost backward wine, the Intensity and concentration makes this a truly complete wine. Two gorgeous efforts.
