Things have been less icy between me and Alix so that's been cool 😸 He showed me a futuristic board game he used to play when he was a kid! It's called “Mouse Trap With Guns” and it's RAD AS FUCK. Basically the mouse starts a riot against the government so the goal is to kill it brutally! Rolling the dice sets your time limit, and then you pick up cards and tokens that help you trigger certain traps before the time runs out...and if you get the golden ticket you get to use the gun...tho it looks like Agent Tortellini here might be the top mouse trapper out of all of us 🐁🧀
When my husband found a small grey cat under the car one day, we wondered how the juvenile stray had survived for what must have been months, on the streets.
Once we discovered that her age was more in the ball park of 15 years, with a host of ailments to boot, we tentatively took her home, with the goal of making her last year or so the best we could.
She’s on constant medication and her dementia means that sometimes she forgets who we are and how the land lays, but it’s going on to her fourth year with us and every now and again when she looks at me and I know that she knows that I love her, it really is all that matters.

#BRONXFACES (*TW: domestic violence, Holocaust) Robert/1973/Castle Hill "The Bronx memories I will treasure forever are the conversations with the first generation immigrants that lived in my building in the early 80's. My mother was a victim of domestic violence and moved my sister and I to the Bronx to remove us from a bad situation. We lived with my grandmother in a one bedroom apartment until my mother was able to secure a home for us. When we moved into our new building, we were the second hispanic family to reside in the building. The building was comprised of Italian and Jewish first generation immigrants who started their lives overseas but called The Bronx their home. I was very quiet as a child but I was also very interested in history and these elderly people witnessed some of the most defining moments of American History. I spent hours in the summer sitting alongside the elderly residents of my building absorbing history. I learned about the Holocaust from a couple that survived the Auschwitz Concentration Camp. I learned about the great depression and the World War from people who experienced the effects firsthand. My fondest memory is of a man who was disabled. His wife would wheel him out into the driveway of a private house that was situated across the street from my building. I would wait patiently every day for the moment his door would open because him and I would talk baseball for hours. He saw Babe Ruth hit those legendary homeruns and witnessed the grace and humility of Lou Gehrig. He also talked to me about the skill and benevolence of Roberto Clemente. I learned about loss early in life, as my elderly friends moved on to take their place beside the Lord. It was an interesting time watching the transition of the borough. Those images of the elderly people sitting in front of the building in their beach chairs to reminisce about their past as the B-Boys were dancing on cardboard on the corner. The walls slowly became my first introduction to a museum, as graffiti became apart of the landscape. I was fortunate enough to catch the tail end of a generation and witness the birth of a culture."
Best 9 for 2019 . . . No shock that foxes make a substantial appearance but i need to make sure my photography for next year is more consistent and spend more time on my papercuts for 2020 and stop wasting all my energy on a day job 🧡

Unpaid ad - unbezahlte Werbung. It’s coaster time! I got this #geode mold and the #resin from @letsresin - thank you guys for supporting my experiments. This time I was aiming for a texture that looks like the bark of a tree. A beautiful effect and a nice idea for a Christmas gift. What do you think?
