I had over a dozen reviewers complete the #pureromancestudioflorabeane course in March and the feedback that stood out the most? "In my country, this would not be affordable, it would be too expensive to invest in." This gave me pause. I realized that in order to make this truly accessible (and not just with closed captioning!!) I needed to create a new kind of pricing.
So here is what I have done.
If you are not a US resident and this course is not affordable for you based on exchange rates and currency valuation around the globe, and you would like to review the course for an 80% reduction please click on the link in profile and sign up. In exchange for this one-time international rate you will complete the course and review it by July 31. If you are a US resident and you feel you qualify for this rate because of your current life circumstance, just sign up and do the reviews also. I appreciate your reviews. They make me a better teacher.

I don’t know how many times I’ve had to tell my girls not to touch the priceless masterpieces. We’ve already been blacklisted from the Louvre after a Sharpie mustache incident. .
Just kidding (obviously). 😂
.
We had a wonderful day at the van Gogh museum here in Amsterdam. It was so fun touching this exact replica of the famous Sunflowers and getting to feel the brushstrokes and thickness of the paint. No photos allowed inside the museum, but everything was so well done. .
.
We got to see (and listen to) letters Vincent wrote to his brother Theo, see grains of sand in a painting under a microscope (see our IG story today), go on a treasure hunt around the museum (which by the way I think sometimes takes away from the art, but it was so well done and so much fun), and see van Gogh’s paint palette which I found super cool. All in all a very special day. And no one even had to go to jail. .
My oldest was crazy excited to go, while my two younger girls were pretty indifferent, but when we got there, everyone had such a great time. I used to shy away from museums with kids but have learned how easy and fun it can actually be. Some of my favorite tips for going to art museums with kids:
.
1. Don’t stay longer than they want. Even just an hour can often be enough.
2. Go at their pace. If your kids enjoy standing in front of a painting for 20 minutes and talking about it, don’t rush them to move on. If they just want to stroll through, go with it.
3. Visit the same museum often. I used to feel like once we went, it wouldn’t be interesting enough for them to go again. Now I realize how special it is for kids to see the same pieces over and over. They look forward to that!
4. Ask them what they think. I was, and still am, amazed at the things my kids come up with when looking at art! Even just asking them how a piece makes them feel can be so eye opening.
5. I also love playing some simple games at a museum. I’ll put some favorites in the comments.
I’d love to hear if you visit art museums with your kids and your tips on how to enjoy it together!
MORE ABOUT ME POST (I am not great at talking about myself but lets go...) 👉
⠀⠀
Firstly happy Tuesday everyone!!
⠀⠀
So for those who don’t know, I am Lizelle and I am 23... it’s very nice to meet you! Welcome to my post!☺️
I was born and still lives in South Africa. I can only speak 2 languages, Afrikaans and English (of which Afrikaans is my Home Language) I’m an aspiring artist but have a full time job so that only leaves me short little weekends behind the easel “For now”. I was introduced to oil painting 6 years ago and have been painting since, but only have been truly committed to my artistic profession for a year now! Looking back my passion for art grew more than I could’ve ever imagined and I’ve been learning and improving tremendously. I fell in love with this amazing art community on Instagram where millions of artist/aspiring artist and art lovers come together to support and inspire each other. I am a dreamer and my inspiration basically comes from everyday life. Specifically what people feel. My desire is to try capturing a feeling, a deep sense of emotion using a soft and elegant technique which brings out a part of me, my personality onto the canvas. I have my studio and my bedroom in one place, meaning I paint in my bedroom and sleep in my studio, my workspace is rather small but it’s been working great so far... to be continued...
⠀⠀
PS: I love both coffee and tea, but I prefer coffee (I might just be a little coffee addict🙊)

If you can’t value art, at least respect the artist and their work. I choose to do henna because of my passion for art. An artist should be respected as much as anyone else from any other profession. .

Well said @hennabydivya !!

We are not pro gun it just happens that we stumble on those bags of little things that are turrets or a Mexican hat or ... I am not sure. We just meander and use what’s around. Now it’s getting very small Still exploring with stuff #cicadas#shells n #glitters n #silverleaf .
A few months ago I discover a true artist who is creating his dance with beauty in watercolor painting. And, yesterday I have met him! Wowoowow! And, not only this, but I had my first private tutorial with him!🔥❤️ I feel beyond happy...it’s incredible to find such treasure just around the corner from the place where I was born :)) #artistsaroundtheworld#happiness#watercolor#firststep#arioninspo literally one minute sketch by @yuriakopyants 🔥

ART THAT MOVES YOU, Dec 3-8.
Hello from my hometown, Miami. This will be a crazy week down here, the traffic will be challenging. Plan ahead.
💫
Born in 1966, Omar Al Rashid (@omarart66) is a Bahraini artist who’s dependent on his deep-rooted heritage and is inspired by local Bahraini as well as Arabian culture. AI-Rashid's work is perceived as semi-abstract and semi-novel even though its nearness to 'reality' is prevalent. Rendering modernity through symbolistic objects his work touches a chord in the hearts of art aficionados regionally and internationally.

For our #Throwbackthursday we reflect upon one of Art Selects signature projects ArtBAAB (Bahrain Art Across Borders). Connecting the world of art to The Kingdom of Bahrain, the project fosters excellence in the visual arts through exhibitions and educational programmes that serve as catalysts for the future of Bahrain and for Arab Art. It’s of Bahrain, by Bahrain, for Bahrain.
