  • I painted this little 5x7 in this orientation with the dark blue at the top, moving down like a stalactite, but it could also work turned around with the blue coming up from the bottom... which do you like better?? Swipe to see it the other way!

"I enjoyed painting this William Eggleston photograph titled “En route to New Orleans” 1971-74. He’s my favorite photographer and one of my favorite artists of all time. The way he captures everyday life has been one of the biggest inspirations in my art. .

  • Brought this guy up from the studio to get some air, just happens to match our blanket and sofa perfectly 😁. Looks fantastic in the natural light ☀️ .
Studio is in full gear for the upcoming @londonartistsstudiotour at the end of April. I’ve never had so many paintings on the go at once 😉💪

  • I really had fun painting this little guy. Oddly enough, painting the vase was maybe my favorite part.

  • I was channeling spring when I painted this hyacinth and rose bouquet last week. It may be officially spring, but winter can make a comeback any day here in Bavaria. I’m so ready for warm weather and sunny flowers!

  • Lately, I’ve been painting miniature floral bouquets. I love the freedom they give and somehow I find composition and water control to be much easier in small scale. This bouquet is about 5cm (2 in) tall.

  • A gift for friends on the baptism of their son. Those blue roses are some of my favorite I’ve ever painted.

  • Happy spring!
I went to a watercolor workshop last night, focused on the way we can use watercolors with kiddos (and adults) as a form of expression, connection, collaboration, and creativity. I worked with a group to create a large collaborative piece inspired by the poppies on the table. Such a fun and inspiring way to kick off spring! 🌿

  • ‘A Moment of Beauty’ is a moment of grace.
When we are blessed to witness a spectacular sunset we are made that little bit richer and that little bit more whole.
Let the golden colours of this sunset sink into your soul and bring warmth to the coldness and light to the darkness.
......
Original acrylic on canvas, 50 x 70 cm.
Available to purchase on my website 🌟

  • I painted the border for last year’s Christmas cards. The scanner was a bit harsh, though, and they didn’t turn out as nicely as I’d hoped.

  • This book is truly special! Please allow me to OPEN MY HEART FOR YOU ❤️🤲🏻 and tell you why...(this gets lengthy and will flow over into the comments but I pray it blesses or helps someone reading it). First, I don’t want to give away the delightfully wonderful surprise ending though from our craft you may surmise. ✨ .
The message printed on the back of the book, also a part of the story, ‘Life begins when you get back up’, and it made it on our Read and Create Workshop craft, is beautiful and in this day and age, so TIMELY. .
In a nutshell, this important book takes a figure we all know and love and trust and puts him through something we all go through - a trial or as Humpty quotes, ‘The Great Fall’. The book speaks about not letting fear of something that happens in our lives keep us from going on to do greater things...from soaring! Young listeners can empathize with this familiar character.
.
Very recently, our daughter was diagnosed with anxiety: medication-requiring anxiety. Everyone’s story is different and personal with these things but I can say for our entire family it has been heart breaking, scary, sad, we have been confused, angry...basically all the emotions. I can’t help but think back to my breastfeeding years with her, how I baby-carried her in a body wrap everywhere, the museums and books and cultural things I exposed her to as a very young child and wonder how and when did this happen. But I have to remind myself- it’s not me. Anxiety / fear in children is at an all time sky-rocketing high and our culture and the pressure put on kids these days is not helping. This book is special in that its message addresses something we need to start exploring more with our kids at this young toddler and preschool age. Moms and Dads, let’s start talking with our kiddos about all the emotions, labeling them, and letting our kids know that it’s OK to feel and embrace them BUT more importantly let’s talk with our young children about how to manage them! They need to learn with our gentle loving guidance to embrace all those big emotions, find a way to cope with them and then GET BACK UP! Life will always throw our kids challenges and if they aren’t...
