So it’s Good Friday and I’m lucky to still be laying in bed snuggling with my littlest guy who is happily snoring. Also super lucky to have picked up this wonderful decorative plate earlier in the week from the divinely inspired Tess @oh_my_goodness_emporium Estimated to be over 100 years old, this V&G plate is a remarkably rare find, it’s delicate detailing is so superb it’s difficult to capture (the feathers on the swans wings adorning the edge are so soft you can imagine them floating away on a slight breeze). This #antique#artwork is such a wonderful addition to our home treasures. I’m grateful beyond words. The only tricky thing now is finding where to hang it... 🤔🙏🙌
I am really excited to show you this! Some of you will know that I am trying to challenge myself to try different styles and techniques, and one of the things I really wanted to do was to miniaturise some of my hoops – so here is my first attempt!
I loved this vixen when I first embroidered it, so she had to be the first one I tried! To give you an idea of scale, the original version was framed in a 7 inch hoop – this one is a 4 inch! It really is a challenge to get the details in the stitching when you are working so small!
I loved her so much, I decided to take her out for a nature shoot! (There is also a pic with a standard paperclip to give you a better idea of size)
Spring is finally here after a few weeks of cold and even some snow in the uk lol, enjoying the sun so much 🥰. Hope you like my newest print addition, needed a fun project to do, link to my shop in bio.
“With golden string
Our universe was clothed in light
Pulling at the seams
Our once barren world now brims with life
That we may fall in love
Every time we open up our eyes
I guess space and time
Takes violent things, angry things
And makes them kind
We are the dust of dust
We are the apple of God's eye
We are infinite as the universe we hold inside
Infinity times infinity times infinity
Times infinity times infinity
