When it rains look for rainbows. 🌈When it's dark look for stars. ✨

This early morning shot of Menindee Lakes in New South Wales was captured by Julie Fletcher @julie_fletcher_photography_. “When this area has water it is a very special place and brings in so much bird life it’s amazing,” says Julie. “The dead trees tell the story of times gone by, a graveyard of drought. This image was take very early in the morning and is all about planning and timing to capture the Milky Way as it sits low in the sky and arches over the trees.” We’ve partnered with Julie this year to produce our 2020 Panorama calendar – and this is just one of her stunning images being featured! The calendar is on sale through our website from September first, so keep an eye out!
An hour before sunset, the clouds looked so promising but in the end the sky didn't show its best. However the were nice pinky reflections in the water and I decided to focus on the given colours and on the sea foam that was forming interesting patterns.
