Had an amazing time shooting artists from @marrawuddigallery of Arnhem Land this past week. Feeling very privileged to to be working on Mirarr Country for the past year on cultural heritage projects and documenting rock art sites; and now getting more of an incite into the more contemporary art of the region.

  • Diary day 212📒 today was the first day of my great ocean road trip 😊🌊 I barely slept last night because I was anxious about driving by myself for the first time (and for the first time in nearly two years!) I don't know why I do these things to myself but I've committed to a 300 mile roadtrip over 3 days 😂 I left Melbourne around 9.30 and drove to Torquay. I needn't have been worried, the car is nice and nippy and easy to drive and I remembered how much I love driving! First I went to Jan Juc beach where I walked along the beach and then up the cliffs along the broadwalk. Then I drove down to bells beach, a famous surf beach, where there was a big surfing competition on and I watched some of the surfers 🏄‍♀️ then I got on to the great Ocean road and drove to Airey’s Inlet where the split point lighthouse is which was so beautiful (you can see it in the distance in this pic). I walked along the coast a bit and got a milkshake in the lighthouse cafe. Then I went to the great Ocean road sign and memorial which commemorates the men who built the road in 1918. I stopped of at Kennett river where there are lots of wild koalas (although I only saw one!). The last stretch of road that I drove was just amazing, winding along the coast with amazing views at every turn, it was hard to stay concentrating! Finally I arrived in Apollo bay where I'm staying and headed straight to the beach for a sunset walk. It's the bank holiday weekend so it's really busy but such a nice atmosphere 😊 I went to the brewhouse pub for some craft beer 🍺 I crashed out at about 8.30 so tired and slept for about 11 hours 😂😂😴
