Direction Generale De L’ Aviation Civile (DGAC) ATR42-300 registered F-GFJH on final approach for runway 23. This ATR is the 49th built, having previously been operated by Brit Air and maybe one of the oldest of the type that visited Malta in recent years.
The DGAC ATR was used for calibration and was here in Malta on a technical stop. This airframe is now stored and most of the calibration work today is carried out by the smaller Beechcraft B200GT Super King Air.
Are you an aviation lover? Have you heard about the Tenerife crash of March 27, 1977?
This happened between two Boeing 747 passenger jets, KLM Flight 4805 and Pan Am Flight 1736 as they collided on the runway at Los Rodeos Airport on the Spanish Island of Tenerife. 583 people were killed, making it the deadliest accident in aviation history.
The cockpit crew and about 60 people from the Pan Am jet survived while all onboard the KLM jet didn't.
Many factors contributed to the deadliest disaster in aviation history. You should watch it.

It is much easier to notice what we don't have than appreciate what we do. Whenever challenging situations come our way' we tend to focus on what we lack. With this attitude, we are unable to make an effort to change the situation. We then tend to blame others or make excuses.
