Got lucky and spotted this beautiful cross fox (maybe cascade?) in Jasper National Park. It started snowing in the higher parts and accumulated almost 5 centimeters so far. If the conditions stay cloudy, freezing, and foggy, then I’ll probably be forced to move further north and out of the Canadian Rockies, because waiting around for a few days is expensive with the steep camping fees. Very pleased to see beautiful wildlife like this however!
One of the stops on the Free Walking Tour is of the bronze, larger-than-life statue of Duke Paoa Kahanamoku, which stands in front of a bronze surfboard along the beach in Waikiki. Hawaii's most famous athlete went to the Olympics four times, and is called the Father of Modern Surfing. Tourists come here to take lasting pictures with this Hawaiian hero! This is one of the stops that we make and more information is given about Duke and his achievements 🙌🏼
Just past the Navajo Bridge in Marble Canyon we happened upon some awesome rocks along the side of the road. As you can see the sky was extremely moody and I had time to snap a few pictures before the torrential downpour began
The sun will rise and we'll try again.
Life is hard. We can easily allow ourselves to become overwhelmed, discouraged and depressed/anxious about situations. Sometimes these things are in our control and sometimes they are not. But we can make a choice not to allow them to overtake and overwhelm us. It's so important to connect with real people and real relationships. Most of the time that can bring peace and calm to most situations. We can choose to not allow things to overwhelm us. Focus less on your social media relationships and more on your real tangible relationships. Coffee with a friend. A real human you can confide in and relate with. It's so important for us as humans to have perspective also. We are truly blessed every day. I always try to put myself in someone else's shoes, to imagine their pain, their hardships and their struggles and/or their joy and excitement. Truly have empathy for your fellow human soul. They will feel it and you can help someone through by simply truly just caring about them. #bekind
1!! DAY!! UNTIL!! DEPARTURE!!
EEK! This is it! We leave TOMORROW! We're already checked in for our flights, our bags are by the door, we have music and books all queued up.. we are READY!
I'm thinking a lot about my kitties today. I'll miss waking up to them and being able to scratch their fuzzy chins whenever the urge strikes. I hope we can find friendly cats around the world - like this titan at a #Japanese#catcafe - to help when I'm really missing my girls.
Sure, we'll miss our human family as well, but we can't really Skype with our kitties. Leaving them is the hardest.
I've been messing with a few different ideas for my page and how I want to continue my uploads but also the rout I want to go in the future with my photography so I hope you dont mind the changes but this is what I enjoy and hope you all like it 🤟
