Lunchtime hangs include another #BigAssSalad - Butter lettuce mix topped with buffalo chicken, FF cheddar, green pepper, pickles & a chipotle ranch dressing! I counted the whole bowl as 1sp for the dressing! I’ve got my iced coffee w/ SF vanilla & SF French vanilla creamer for 3sp 🤩 I’m babysitting until after dinner today so I’ve got tons of snacks with me to keep me from going off the rails 🛤
I have talked before about my 30 days of accountability. Looks like I’m not doing so great right now. Anyone else off track??!! I’m going to keep going with this one BUT I plan to start a new one on 9.1. 30 days of committing to 100 push ups, sit-ups and squats or lunges. I’m taking names, who wants to join me??!! We can take starting measurements and see what happens in a month. Even though I haven’t been the most consistent, just these 15 or so days of 100 squats and 100 sit ups have changed my body. You might have spotted on my story yesterday that for the first time in ages I've not been very Thrifty! That's why I've been fairly quiet on here as I've had very little worthy of sharing. I don't feel guilty about my spending though as I know it's a one off and I know exactly why my thriftiness has gone out of the window... First of all I've been off work so had more time on my hands which has meant more shopping and trips out. Shane and I went to Cheshire Oaks and I bought two new dresses and I bought another yesterday. Over Shane's birthday weekend we went out for lunch in Manchester and also had a family takeaway the same weekend.
Secondly, we're trying to use up everything in the freezer so we can defrost it so I've been shopping a bit differently and buying more convenience foods. I've still cooked from scratch here and there but not as much as when I'm in work; you'd expect it to be the opposite but I find I'm more productive after working all day. Instead, we've had more takeaways and things like ready made pizzas.
Usually I have strong willpower and can resist impulse purchases and will opt to cook instead of having takeaways but that hasn't applied to the last couple of weeks. I'm not going to feel bad about it though and I'm reminding myself that once in a while it is okay - or even essential - to have a treat or a splurge.
It's pay day today and I've done my usual transfers of money into my savings and into the joint account and I'm going to be back on track with my spending and being Thrifty.
If you're finding your spending is getting a bit out of hand, don't worry. Reassess what it is you're spending on and why you're spending more. Don't beat yourself up about it, we all go through phases of being a bit rubbish with money. As long as you are able to break the cycle and get back on track that's all that matter.

After an awesome day today celebrating my daughters fantastic GCSE results this is called for 😍
Gammon, mushrooms, onions, tenderstem broccoli (they needed using up lol) , cheese and onion stuffed jackets and gammon.
Now off for pre-grade kickboxing practice 🥊
Back to school back to reality ( I have Soul II Soul’s Back to Life (However Do You Want Me) stuck in my head and now, so do you😂😂😂😂 Schools back and so are routines. I have fallen off the wagon this summer. I have enjoyed myself, but I haven’t been doing my morning routines of waking up early, meditating, reading a book that inspires me or helps me become better. My sleep schedule was off and I indulged in ice cream, pizza and well - maybe a few too many glasses of wine with friends.
But today I start back at it. I’ll be mindful of what I eat, I will get out and exercise more, I will do a Reboot this weekend to reset my body, I will practice meditation and get myself to the library.
It’s ok to take a break. It’s ok to indulge, but I do feel the repercussions of it and I can’t wait to get back on track! #reboot #schoolsback #routines #backontrack #buildingabetterlife

Spinach and mixed green salad with avocado and chicken. I didn't like the flavour of the croutons so I didn't eat them. I had a peach instead after! I actually thought the dressing was a 2 tbs serving, but it was one so I overrate dressing this time. I'll remember for next time!
