I HATE how society makes us women feel bad for being proud of ourselves and expressing it! We are called conceited or self absorbed. I am proud of my hard work in the gym and won’t let ANYTHING or ANYONE stop me including my age. If anything I hope to inspire and influence others that you can be your best self starting now!!!💙 SHOUT OUT to @jacquelin_beautyartist my hair🔥🔥 @thepinklilyboutique shoes
"You can keep your doctor" - Barak Hussein Obummer Liar. "Trump is a Russian asset" Adam shifty Shift Liar. "We're going to drain the swamp in Washington d.c." President Donald J. Trump Not a Liar.
#wakeup#friends#trump is NOT your enemy. The #deepstate is what conspiracy theorists had always presumed was prevalent. ( Remeber JKF, Vietnam, 9/11, Iraq war?) Former #cia leaders are on camera saying, " Thank God for the DEEP STATE" Their god they reference is none other than Lucifer. Not the God that created MAN and WOMAN. The deep state has killed more Americans than I wish to research yet #orangemanbad cuz they say it and you're gullible... Why listen to #cnn when they are the ones lying about reality? #strangerthings is here now and the Demoncracts are living in the upside down world trying to bring it to the real world. All you have to do is type in a few words on YT. -- CNN FAKE NEWS COVERAGE will show you ON AIR lies they tried on us. Wake. The fuck. Up. And be thankful you're in #America with a #badass#president .
You do not have to clean your plate. There, I said it. -
There is no rule that says you have to eat everything on your plate & that you can’t just pack it up for another meal. Cleaning your plate can actually be a really damaging habit. -
Sure it may have been drilled into your head as a kid — waste not, want not. Right!?! But, the truth is there is a big difference between actual hunger & the habits we’ve created. Hunger cues & signals are very real things but very few of us actually know how to tune into them. -
Either we just don’t bother to listen. We’ve forgotten how to listen. We eat based on habit alone or We’re afraid to listen. -
The habit of needing to clean your plate though, is making it less likely that you’ll ever tune into actual hunger & much more likely that you’ll continue to consistently overeat because you aren't paying attention to the cues of fullness & satisfaction from food. You are eating instead, just for the sake of eating. -
I get it. It’s hard to practice restraint, be mindful, stay in the moment & say no thank you, maybe later. But, it’s not that you have to deprive, restrict or waste food, it’s that you can choose, when you are simply satisfied & no longer truly hungry, to save things for later. -
When we are used to cleaning our plates we are also used to ignoring any internal feelings of fullness. When we clean our plate based on habit, we are instead relying on the external cue of a clean plate to stop eating. This, in addition to the fact that most of our plates & portions are way too big anyway, can definitely make it harder to reach & maintain goals. The truth is we live in a society where food is abundant so: hunger is never an emergency, food is readily available, you can have more later & you don’t need to eat like an a-hole. -
Will this come easily to you? No. You’ll mess up but, just like anything else, the more you practice, the easier it’ll get. Regardless of your goal, tuning into hunger cues is extremely important & therefore, it's worth being mindful & breaking the clean-your-plate habit. -
Cheryl Cookie is associate professor of American Studies and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Purdue University. She has been involved with the longitudinal study on the quantity and quality of men’s and women’s sports in media from which the stat 44% of athletes are women and only 4% of media coverage is about women comes. That stat launched Hear Her Sports and Cheryl joins the podcast to look more deeply into the findings.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This episode is important because we talk about why studying and thinking about sports is important (and not as frivolous as it might seem).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In the episode as Cheryl also gets into the history of women in sports and the legacy of fear of masculinization of women participating in sports, media coverage of Caster Semenya from as far back as ten years ago, and sports coverage of day to day women’s sports and of special events like the Olympics and World Cup soccer.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Belle journée internationale de la gentillesse ✨. Okaaaaay, soyons nice avec les autres mais surtout avec NOUS MEMES, car on a souvent tendance à s’auto-flaggeler de manière hardcore! 🤦🏾♀️
- No more comparison, just do YOU YOU YOU !! En espérant que ça aide <3. PS: bientôt de retour avec un new content et en attendant prenez soin de vous!! Vous pouvez aussi encore vous inscrire pour l’event du 30/11 @break.paris. Le lien est dans la bio! Catch ya sooooon! ❤️ . .
