A year ago I found myself feeling overwhelmed and alone because I am a STAY HOME AND WORKING MOM and my face was always looking tired, I was loosing a lot of hair (I will show another picture of how much hair I lost) and I hated looking at myself at the mirror⁣

I was going to the gym now and then, and one day I met someone that became a really good friend, and got me into serious training. He introduced me to lifting weights.⁣

Then I got into a challenge called #mytransphormation on April 2018 and  this became a journey of no return.⁣

My face started looking better, I loved what I saw in the mirror every single morning, my energy is amazing and my life in general was transformed.⁣

My secret!!!⁣

I do not train every day, I train 5 and sometimes even only 3 times a week. But I LIFT heavy weights, I do the right type of cardio and I eat very well. ⁣

I DO NOT DIET!!! I DO NOT CUT CALORIES (TRAINING NEEDS A LOT OF CALORIES) I EAT ALL DAY... I JUST EAT RIGHT.⁣

Quinoa & Zucchini Mini Loafs 🤤🙌.
⠀⠀ ⁣ ⋆ ⋆ RECIPE ⋆ ⋆
⠀⠀
Serves: 8 (1 muffin/loaf is a serve) ⁣
⁣
Ingredients:⁣
2 large zucchini, grated⁣
1 carrot, grated⁣
1 cup quinoa, uncooked 80g feta cheese, crumbled 8 eggs, whisked⁣
130g lean leg ham, sliced thinly Salt & Pepper to taste⁣
2 tbsp basil, chopped thinly⁣
⁣
Directions:⁣
1. Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees celsius.⁣
2. Cook quinoa according to packet instructions.⁣
3. In a large mixing bowl, add zucchini, carrot, ham, salt, pepper, basil and the eggs. Mix well until all is combined well. Add cooked quinoa and mix through.⁣
4. In a mini loaf tin (see above image) divide the mixture between 8 sections evenly. If you do not have a mini loaf tin, use a large muffin tin.⁣
5. Sprinkle feta over the top and place into the oven for 20 minutes, or until lightly golden.⁣
5. This recipe makes 8, so with the left overs they can be frozen and reheated when needed.⁣ ⁣

  • Hello, my name is Stephanie & I wear my minion Christmas pajamas in the spring 🤣💁‍♀️💜.

I am so proud of myself. I went on a job interview yesterday for a teaching position and it went SO WELL OH MY GOSH! I was so beyond nervous because I didn’t know what to expect! But all the nerves went away as I was answering the questions 🥰. I am so passionate about teaching that it boosted my confidence and I am just so happy 😭💙. -
I wanted to share this story because it was a big moment for me. I had always thought I would mess up or stutter, or just cry lmfao. I hate public speaking, especially talking about myself and my experiences to a complete stranger. But I did it and I am so proud I did because I was so nervous I didn’t want to do it.

Ladies, we are so much stronger, powerful, and smarter than we think! We truly can handle ANYTHING once we believe in ourselves !! Our strengths have always been there!!🥰❤️

Happy Monday Fitties 💓. Feeling so good about myself, something I haven’t felt in a while! I have been stressing out over job interviews the past few weeks, and I am so proud to say that I did SO amazing! 😭💙. I felt confident, proud, and strong. Ugh! I missed feeling like that!!!.

I am also happy to share that I just started a new workout program by @kelseywells 😍💧 PWR at home!! This guide could not have come at a better time. As much as I love working out in the gym because of the atmosphere, I loveee working out in the comfort of my own home ! I have such a busy schedule nowadays, so working out at home is a lot easier for me to do!💙.

  • Week 1 is coming to a close! Not sure if I will attempt the challenge this week so tomorrow will be my rest day! •

I am absolutely loving #PWRathome so far 🙌🏼 the workouts have so much variety that I don’t get bored and look forward to what’s coming next and before I know it the workout is over 💪🏼😬 I highly recommend for anyone who is unsure about trying it! Can’t wait to see what the next 11 weeks have in store!! 👍🏼

So here a some of the stretches I do on a day to day basis. I have to say I’ve done a few one-to-one sessions with a yoga instructor and classes, so have basic knowledge on how to perform these exercises. I’d recommend taking a class or doing some research on these to make sure they are performed properly.

  • I learned the hard way tonight how important diet/nutrition is to fueling workouts! 😅 I'd gone out for an early dinner with my husband and my father. The burger was actually pretty gross, so all I ate was some french fries dipped in honey mustard and a beer. I got home and I thought I felt pretty good, so I started my total body resistance session. 
Holy. Shit. 😬 Half way through I suddenly felt like I was going to lose my fries. 🥴 As you can see from the pic, I had to pause the session. 
But I must have somehow known what I was heading for, because I decided to change my little sign before my workout tonight, and check out the message I landed on! I didn't know how much I'd need those words 15 minutes later lol! 
So, I let myself take a five minute break. When the break was up, I still felt a little woozy, but I knew I only had about 9 or 10 minutes left until the session was over. I beared down and got it done! 
Lesson learned though! Eating well isnt just important for slimming down and getting proper nutrients in your diet. It's also your fuel to be a bad ass, workout-crushing rockstar! 💪🏼 Next time, salad please! Or this is also why I usually prefer morning workouts - less variables popping up to affect the workout.

What I want you to do is get a diary, put it by your bed, every morning write 3 things you’re grateful for, big or small things, try and make them different everyday. This is going to set your mind up before you do anything to thinking positively. Also before you go to bed, write down 3 nice things that happened today, anything!

Watch your mindset completely change, it’ll train your brain to look for positive things and attract positive things to your life.

STEP UP FOR YOUR BODY!! Seriously it works hard everyday to keep you alive, how amazing is that, and you don’t even think about this. Stop comparing yourself to others, you have beautiful qualities that your soul possess and when you begin to love yourself you’ll learn to love your self image.

Self love isn’t about self care. For example why do you go to the gym? Because you hate your body and want to change it, this isn’t self love. Self love is going to the gym to empower your body and love it.

  • I’m annoyed at my own self because the scale isn’t budging. ⚖️ I’m disappointed that I am not sticking with discipline when faced with food and drink temptations. 🍻🍶🍚🍪🍫However, looking at these pics, I’m happy with the booty gains I’m making!! 🍑👀 Does anyone know the formula for a phat @$$ and a tiny, sculpted waist? 👙Please share in the comments 😂 I would like very much to learn some tips today. I am training for that ⏳hourglass figure! My 29th bday is in 40 days and I want to be in the best shape of my life for then 🙏🏻 I overindulged at dinner last night because I was having a good time and was with friends. My way of recovering from a vacation is rest, delicious clean food and lots of self care so you can come back slowly and recharge for your daily life!

First step: start my training for my nutrition certification so I can better serve you all in my next fitness bootcamp! CANT WAIT 😻

Tonight felt good! Besides modifying the one arm side cable pull I felt like I was able to do every move exactly how the “little Kelsey” was doing it on the app.🤗 I even felt like I was able to up my weights a bit! 💪🏽 excited for the physical gainsssss, but definitely still working on the mental gains. Work.👏🏽 In.👏🏽Progress.👏🏽 🎥🏋🏼‍♀️I want to film myself doing the workouts to look back on and see how my form is but how do I film while following the app? How do y’all film yourselves?!!   • #PWR 1.0 WEEK 2
HIIT and Chest & Tris sesh last night. Okay not gonna lie yesterday was rough; the day before I was feeling pretty down on myself and got into a funk and was a bit frustrated with myself that I didn’t make it to the gym. So Last night it was getting late and I started to feel the same funk creeping in but I told myself to take a deep breath and think about how much better I would feel after a workout. So somehow kicking and screaming inside I got my butt to the gym and felt A MILLION BILLION times better! When I get that “funk” or lots of anxious feelings I usually do HIIT because something about blasting my music and “sprinting” every 30 sec takes me to a different world and gets me out of my head. Like I’ve said before running is not my thing, like I’m terrible at it and would not choose it over any other form of working out. But when I’m anxious and need a good HIIT sesh I bust it out as best I can and feel 1,000 times better. Excited to get through this work week and enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend!🤗☀️

LISS and Chest & Tris done✅ Definitely noticing the difference between those beginner weeks and week 1 of PWR 1.0. But staying strong and pushing through because I know it’ll be worth it. I love how accomplished I feel after every resistance session. As hard as it is to get my booty over to the gym, once I walk in there I feel ten times better! Amazing what taking a little time out of your day to take care of yourself does for your mood. Now to keep this positivity and motivation up for the rest of the week!!💪🏽🙌🏽

  • WOOOHHHH!! I did it y’all! I finished #PWR BEGINNER✅ May seem silly to only celebrate the beginner weeks but I don’t care! I got my butt back in the gym and back to doing a program that I love! The fact that I stuck with it for 4 full weeks is a victory in itself for me! I can’t wait to keep this momentum up and work towards the next 4 weeks of PWR 1.0

#PWR BEGINNER WEEK 4
What is this weird new orange picture you may ask? Welp decided to try something new today and since I already did the 3 resistance sessions for this week decided to try one of @kelseywells pwr challenges! This one was a Tabata Strength Challenge. I had no idea what I was doing or what I was supposed to be doing but I just went with it. It was a bunch of different workout moves for 20 sec intervals with 10 sec of rest in between. I’m deff going to try another challenge again and hopefully I’ll get better at it and figure out what the heck I’m supposed to be doing. 🙈😂

HIIT the ground running tonight and did some Chest & Tris tonight! 🙈😂 shameless pun. Trust me I only do HIIT if I’m feeling anxious and just need to turn up the music and do some “sprints”. I love the way the @sweat app does HIIT because I can count down the seconds while I’m “sprinting” till I get to rest. It’s the best!

Ahhh!! Made it to week 4!!! 🎉🙌🏽 Feels good to have kept this routine going!! Don’t get me wrong there were a couple weeks I had extra rest days but I told myself no worries brushed it off and just kept with it! Did some LISS and Legs & Abs part of my usual Monday night workout now. I’ve been going into the sauna after most of my workouts and I love to just sit there and close my eyes and kind’ve turn off my mind for a bit. Or stretch or listen to some music and chill. It’s a great way to unwind from the stresses of the day and from the workout and just breathe and sweat it out.

LISS and Chest & Tris! So now that I’m on week 3 that means I can see if I’ve made any progress on the workouts from week 1. Since weeks 3 and 4 are always repeats of weeks 1 and 2 respectively, I get to see if I’ve made any improvements or small elements of progress. Maybe it’s just knowing the form better or moving up a little in weight or just feeling more confident in the movement. I love that it is a kind of check in with my body to see, oh yeah I do feel a difference now, I am feeling some improvement.

Finishing off beginner week 2 with some much needed Back & Shoulders at the hotel gym with my mama! 💪🏽 I’m so proud of this lady right here and love sharing the gym with her! One day I want to get her to do a PWR workout with me. She’ll probably kick my butt😂 I’m very surprised at this hotel gym it had everything I needed for my workout which doesn’t usually happen!
