  • Progress after 6 weeks of the sweat challenge! 😍
The past 6 weeks have flown by crazy fast! I am so happy I signed up for a gym membership again because I really notice how much training with equipment and going to the gym has helped me with making progress. ☺️
Even though my body hasn’t changed a lot in looks I feel so much stronger and more grounded again having a set workout routine. 
Over the next weeks I am going to continue with my current workout schedule doing bbg and trying to improve myself wherever I can. 🦋

If you’re ever in Dallas and you’re looking for a sweaty and challenging workout, this is it!!!💦💪🏼Think weights, booty bands, treadmill and body weight circuit style exercises with little to no breaks. Not a class I would recommend for beginners BUT def worth checking out if you’re looking for a challenge. It’s v similar to Barry’s Bootcamp. The Sprint60 class was exactly 60 minutes & was only 9 credits on Class Pass🙌🏻 xx, Jess

  • Stop focusing on what you might lose and start focusing on what you can gain 💥 .
I’ve spent years focused on losing weight, just trying to reach my „goal weight“. And you know what?! It was leading me nowhere✖️Doing crash diets, not feeling your body properly, fasting … all of it leads to a loss in muscles AND to an unsustainable lifestyle change. 🙌🏼

It’s important to make changes that you can keep up in the longterm so focusing on health, strength and self confidence is so much more rewarding and so much easier to keep up with in the long term. Nothing feels as empowering as being able to do things you couldn’t do a couple of weeks ago. 🥰

I focus on improving my push ups and pull ups, improving my forearm stand and learning how to do a handstand. And the progress I’ve made in just 4 weeks makes me feel so good about myself because I’ve put so much work in. 💥 Also, I feel like your new physical strength has such a positive influence on your mental strength as well and you can get so motivated by it. 
Making that mindset shift from focusing on how you look to how you FEEL is challenging in the beginning but so worth it! ♥️

  • When I was a teenager all I wanted to do was grow up. I finished high school & tried to “find myself.” I tried to mould & change myself for others to like me more, I was the most insecure I had every been. Until a few years ago I finally realised that “finding myself” and trying to “grow up” worked out to be me changing into someone that I wasn’t. It was so refreshing to realise that I am enough, I don’t need to change for anyone else because I am me! Never feel like you need to change. For the sake of growing up or finding yourself. Take things as they come, learn to love the things that make you different. Why fit in when you can stand out 💫

  • Week 5 day 1 of BBG. I was dreading it if I'm honest. BBG is testing my mind along with my body at the moment. Ive been feeling like I am performing badly lately at my training. I totally overdid it at the beginning so saw unrealistic and unsustainable results.

Now I've started listening to my body and actually following the plan at the pace I'm supposed to I'm feeling much better by my body doesn't look quite as good.

Does anyone else suffer with the mental side of training? I'm concentrating more on the food side as well at the moment. The food takes some getting used too but I haven't felt starving all day which is a new one for me 😂

  • SWEAT 6 Week Challenge is over, but it’s just the beginning! I’m doing BBG 2.0 now. I completed BBG 1.0 weeks 1-12 before the challenge. Starting on BBG 2.0 week 13 today was a wake-up call 😂

I love PWR and thanks to the PWR program I love weightlifting again. BBG challenges me in a completely different way though. It exposes my weaknesses, such as lack of endurance, and forces me to face them. I have such a love/hate relationship with BBG. It’s so hard while doing, but I feel so strong & accomplished after every workout....even the ones where I really struggle because at least I did it! 
The other thing I really like about BBG is the shorter workout (although really high intense). I can fit it in at home or the gym without having to skip any parts & still have time for a good stretch afterwards.

  • I usually wear long t-shirts to the beach but yesterday I decided to be a little braver and stop hiding my body away, I actually don’t like wearing baggy clothes everyday because I don’t feel feminine so I’m working on healthier body image but also acknowledging everyday how well my body and mind have served me 🙋🏻‍♀️🌊🥰👩‍👩‍👧‍👧👏🏻

I did my workout using the 6 week yoga challenge on the @sweat app, yay! I finished it at 5:15am cos I was up since 2:30am from really bad tummy and back cramping and I feel sooo much better now 😁

  • I've tried and tried many times in the past to complete all 12 weeks of bbg. Something that always stops me is that I forget this journey isn't just about physical changes and I give up when there's not instant 6 pack after 1 sit up 🙈 •

I'm more determined this time to not only reep the physical benefits, but to put in the work for the emotional and mental benefits of this journey. Here are a few of my goals for the upcoming weeks: 💪🏻 Be kind to myself

I have a trip coming in two weeks. I turn 30 next week. I’m supposed to be in my best shape ever! ⁣

Cue the extreme diets and hours of sweat sessions. ⁣

Nope, not this time around. Once I got into intuitive eating it changed things for me. ⁣
⁣
I’m not gonna lie. It’s hard sometimes. Knowing that photos will be taken. Photos I can’t control the angle of and I’ll have to see myself in a new way. I know that’ll be tough but I’m prepared. ⁣

I’ve spent over a year now reforming the thoughts around my body, getting closer and closer to body acceptance. ⁣
⁣
How can you reform your thoughts too?⁣
⁣
❌ My legs look so fat. ⁣
✅ My legs are strong. I mean have you seen those roundhouses at kickboxing? You’re amazing girl!⁣
❌ Ugh look at that double chin. ⁣
✅ Geez look at the smile! You can tell I’m having the time of my life!⁣
⁣
There’s so much more to you than physical appearance. It’s time to start appreciating and focusing on those things 💕

And back to the internship clinic I go. My weekend was filled with awesome food (self made lasagna, veggie burgers and pizza), a lot of fluffy cuddles and quality time with my bf. ❤️ Today I had a Thai massage and it was so painful 😂 BUT I felt a lot more relaxed after it! And I met a new cat friend there, too. 🐱 What did you do this weekend? :) Did you finish the #sweatchallenge strong or kinda relaxed like me? :)

  • Change your clothes, change your life 👟 ⁣

A goal of mine this summer was to get out of my workout clothes. It became a little to easy to go from the studio to every social engagement in fit wear and slowly I began to loose myself in the process.⁣
⁣
I set the intention that anytime I was away from TRIBE I would make the effort to be in “regular people clothes” which meant I needed “regular people clothes”. @newbalancewomen saved me with these cute and easy to wear t-shirt dresses (pic 2️⃣) and I bought my first pair of jeans in over a decade.⁣
⁣
8 months later I’m still at it. It’s not always easy (requires more time and often planning head), but it’s always fun, I feel like myself again, and it helps with my mental health (taking time for myself and differentiating my work and home life). I’m sure you new parents out there can relate, or even those of you just feeling in a rut. Take time for yourself, you’re worth it. 💜⁣

  • “Be grateful for your health and your ability to become STRONGER, don’t ever take it for granted!” ✨ .

Hi everyone! Wow what a week it’s been! My daughter had tonsillectomy surgery and my husband and I were both sick. Mine turned into a bad upper respiratory/ear infection and it ruptured my ear drum! 😫 Talk about painful! Thank goodness for family stepping in to help! We are all on the mend and getting better each day. 🙏🏼 .

I haven’t worked out in a week. It wasn’t even a passing thought with everything going on. But today I feel weak and a little soft around the edges. I eased my way back in with a LISS session on the spin bike. 🚴🏻‍♀️ I still have to take it easy as my ear continues to heal. I’m hoping to return to my #bbgstronger workouts next week, I miss them! 💪🏼 .

With all that going on, I was so surprised and humbled to be supported by @kayla_itsines on her page this week! All the kind comments, messages, and feedback have been amazing! 🤗  It made me realize how far I’ve come, and how thankful I am to be healthy enough to workout daily. I’ll never take my health and workouts for granted! 💗
