Back on the bike! ☠️💛🚲 We usually like to workout in the mornings ☀️ It sets the tone for the day, but recently it’s been hard for us to get to a class. Our dog Mimi has been really sick, so it’s a whole process in the morning to feed her breakfast since she needs her meds. So it’s been hard to wake up early enough to do all that then go workout before our day starts. But we’ve missed our @soulcycle classes! 🙏🏼 #soulgifted

In the 4 years I’ve been on this health & fitness journey, 2019 was the most difficult year. I didn’t have the same motivation I did in the past. My eating habits were unhealthy and I was so focused on losing weight that I often tried to use shortcuts. I lost weight and the gained it back over and over. Towards the end of the year, I really started to focus on my mental health. I’ve really learned to love myself and feel confident in my own body. I always thought I would have to hit a certain weight to feel that way. I’m happier focusing on making healthier choices and working out to be fit, not to hit a certain number on the scale. I learned so much in my 20’s and I will never forget the day I decided to turn my life around in 2015. It’s been a rollercoaster of a journey but it’s been incredible learning what my body is capable of. I’m going into 2020 focusing on getting stronger. The picture on the right was from yesterday when I did an extremely difficult 6 hour hike. I felt so accomplished finishing the hike since I know I wouldn’t have been able to do it 4 years ago. My goal in 2020 is to be stronger and hopefully be able to do 1 pull up. I’ll continue to make healthy choices but I will not be on a specific diet, and I’ll be doing BBG through the rest of the year. What are your goals for 2020?

you need to get so specific you can feel it in your 𝐠𝐮𝐭 when you write it down.

I lost my dad to cancer when I was 12 so I learned pretty young that your 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐬 can take you away from the people you love most.
obviously I have some internal fears of death I’m working through but I vowed that I want to have the 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐬𝐭 // 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 possible to take on whatever illness // injury I might face in this life.
praying they don’t but my health journey has a pretty 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 foundation.
so if you want 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 this year your reason for working out and eating healthier has to be stronger, you have to 𝐝𝐢𝐠 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐫 and it has to really mean something to you!
otherwise 2 weeks from now you’re going to lose sight and spend the rest of the year yo-yo’ing.

Hi everyone! Wow what a week it’s been! My daughter had tonsillectomy surgery and my husband and I were both sick. Mine turned into a bad upper respiratory/ear infection and it ruptured my ear drum! 😫 Talk about painful! Thank goodness for family stepping in to help! We are all on the mend and getting better each day. 🙏🏼 .
I haven’t worked out in a week. It wasn’t even a passing thought with everything going on. But today I feel weak and a little soft around the edges. I eased my way back in with a LISS session on the spin bike. 🚴🏻♀️ I still have to take it easy as my ear continues to heal. I’m hoping to return to my #bbgstronger workouts next week, I miss them! 💪🏼 .
With all that going on, I was so surprised and humbled to be supported by @kayla_itsines on her page this week! All the kind comments, messages, and feedback have been amazing! 🤗 It made me realize how far I’ve come, and how thankful I am to be healthy enough to workout daily. I’ll never take my health and workouts for granted! 💗
I usually don’t like my workout shirts to say anything but @vspink had this cool tank and I couldn’t pass it up!! 👏🏼 Today was an incredible morning. I did #bbg legs and then went to finish my workout with a brisk walk on the treadmill...and ended up running for 15 minutes straight!! 😱 I don’t know the last time I had this much energy for a workout. It definitely has to do with my eating habits changing dramatically the last few days. I’m getting into a normal routine, cooking home cooked meals, and fueling myself with the perfect amount of protein again. I feel awesome!! I hope everyone has a killer Friday 👊🏼💪🏼 #gymshark66
