#PROJECTCOMEBACK 2 month #progress update 💗✨ first of all I am so proud of myself for actually sticking to this!!! I stopped + started a million times over the span of 2018 so staying committed for the past 2 months is a big win for me ☺️ the changes in my body are awesome, but the biggest shifts that have occurred are the ones within me; I feel inspired, motivated (95% of the time 😅), strong, healthy, focused and determined to keep crushing it. I have been more productive the past 2 months than I was all of last year (not kidding) and I truly feel like this challenge has evolved into a lifestyle for me at this point, which was my goal when starting👏🏼 it’s also worth noting that this is probably the healthiest way I’ve ever gone about “getting in shape” and I am super proud of that as well, it’s definitely not been an overnight shift but I know this way of doing it is more sustainable and better for me so I’m all for it! 🙌🏼 I’m planning to do a full blog post update with more info for you (make sure you’re subscribed to #namastshay so you don’t miss it!) but in the meantime here are a few things I’ve been doing consistently and plan to KEEP doing so I can continue to get results:
✨Train with @tarynmbrooks 2-3x a week
✨30 min of @risenation 3x a week
✨Yoga 6x a week
✨No alcohol - I’m on day 75!
✨I only eat between 8am-8pm to give my digestive system time to....digest 😂
✨No coffee (other than mushroom coffee!)
✨Mindful eating + honest portions
✨More water + tea, less mindless snacking

M1 - egg bake with raspberries (meal prepped in advance)
S1 - carrot cake @larabar
M2 - baked bbq chicken with broccoli and a clementine (meal prepped in advance)
S2 - a leftover packzi at the office
S3 - a @reeses peanut butter egg x2
M3 - supreme beach burrito with all the fixings, tortilla chips and “We be jammin” craft beer from @oddsideales
S4 - extra order of BBQ pork nachos
S5 - another “We be jammin” craft beer 🍻
S6 - sleepy time tea and snickerdoodle @eatenlightened ice cream 🍦
Definitely NOT a beautiful “day on the plate” - but it’s an honest one. And I don’t regret it.
Today, I’m back eating more balanced, but I’m not restricting or punishing myself for what I ate yesterday.
Life is meant to be lived. Don’t forget to LIVE YOUR LIFE.

literally just missed the perfect lighting with this dinner but nothing a little vsco editing can’t fix! & i’ve been planning on testing this recipe since i binge watched jeffree star videos & him eating at taco bell all the time was making me crave a quesadilla. here she is: dairy free chicken cheese quesadilla served with avocado & chile lime veggies⤵️
🌮QUESADILLA: heated up lots of @chosenfoods avocado oil on a med-high heat pan. then took a biiiig chunk of @miyokoscreamery vegan mozzarella cheese & spread it on one open faced @sietefoods cassava tortilla. took some leftover chicken i had cooked, shredded it, & added it on top of the cheese. then i topped the loaded tortilla with another one, set it on my pan, & covered it. i let it cook til it was crisp & the cheese was melting (prob 5ish min? i suck at timing this stuff sorry), then flipped it & let it cook til the other side was crispy. sliced down the middle & it was good to go🌮
🌶CHILE LIME VEGGIES: cut up 1/2 bell pepper, a little bit of onion, & some frozen red cabbage, tossed them in the microwave for 3 min to steam, then finished them off in a high heat pan with avocado oil & some generous shakes of @traderjoes chili lime seasoning until they were crispy & browning on the outside🌶
🥑served it all with some @organicgirl romaine, cubed avo, & everything but the bagel🥑
these were the last of my @sietefoods tortilla so i’m deff grabbing more next time i’m at the store - prob gonna try a new flavor/type to switch things up bc they have so many options now like cashew, chickpea, etc. anyways hope everyone had a great tuesday!!!❤️🤩

I went to see my cousin’s dad in the hospital today. He has cancer and doesn’t have much time left - a few days really. It was extremely sad 😔. Stoked I found @thepeachbuilderco resistance bands. I used to spend half my HIIT workouts adjusting my resistance band - these ones are awesome and I love how I can use different bands for different resistance ❤️

Sometimes it feels lonely, chasing after your dreams, and worrying that, maybe just maybe you don't have what it takes to make it to the top. Sometimes it doesn't work and sometimes we even fail, miserably. But, I saw this quote today and it reminded me that it doesn't matter how long it takes you to get there, or even if you make it or not. What matters most, is that you were not afraid to try. Because in the end, all that matters is how you feel about yourself. It doesn't matter how others perceive you or judge you or make you feel weaker than you are. This life is not about them. This life is about YOU and your story. So, this reminder is a reminder not only for me, especially because I second guess every decision I make. It’s so easy to just not do it because it’s scary or hard. But really we shouldn’t be afraid of what we truly want. Try it, pursue it, run as fast as you can after it, climb the ladder to the top, or come back down. Whatever it is that YOU want to do. DO IT, but don't let fear hold you back. You can be scared while you do it, but don't let it stop you from trying. We all face challenges and we all fail, at one point in our life or another, but failure is a good thing, because it shows you that YOU tried something, and that my friend is the greatest accomplishment of all.

Just ordered my cleanse and aloe to arrive the day we get home. I’m so full I literally cannot eat for a week. ☺️This has been the best vacation our family has ever taken, I literally cannot stop crying tears of joy for my kids getting to have this amazing experience. It’s been so great getting to say YES to everything, and bend over backwards to make this a perfect trip. Last day tomorrow!

I get asked all the time, “Why are you always drinking these smoothies / milkshakes?!” I’m going to be real with you.. I struggle to get ALL my veggies in. *gasp* yeah I said it, I know...😆 I’m a fit(ish) girl who doesn’t love salads!
So I throw it all in the blender and 💥BOOM💥 my body still gets the benefit from all the vitamins, probiotics, adaptogen herbs, antioxidants, prebiotics, phytonutrients and mineral goodness plus soo much more!

Listen up: life is NEVER going to be perfect.☝🏻 What you see online isn't as perfect as you think it is. We are constantly evolving, growing, and TRYING. You fail once? Cry about it for a second if you need to then put your ass back up and try again! Strength is shown in challenging times, so fail. I know you will get it right. Look up again, sister friend. JUST EAT THE ICE CREAM // if you watched my stories, you’ll see that @tabitha.lavoie came to speak to my department at work today on the topic of How to Alleviate Stress Through Food. It was such a great session with so many great practical tips! One of the points Tabitha made, that I realized through chatting with my colleagues after the session really had an impact on many people, was the idea of intuitive eating. Tabitha emphasized that not only is food nourishing our bodies, but it also feeds our soul. When we eat, we should try to really tune into how the foods we eat make us feel, think about what foods you genuinely enjoy eating and are craving. If we resist the things we really enjoy eating, like ice cream and donuts, you won’t feel satisfied if you chose to eat a kale salad instead, but keep thinking about the donut. If you’re craving the donut, can’t stop thinking about the donut...then eat the donut! Saying to yourself you SHOULD eat the salad and not the donut, you won’t be satisfied in your belly or your mind. You’ll be happier and more satisfied if you eat the donut rather than stressing over what you think you SHOULD be eating instead and feeling guilty about eating the donut. .
I love this approach to nutrition. 🙌🏻 Yes, of course it’s amazing to eat all the greens and follow all the wellness and health trends, but if you are unhappy restricting yourself from eating the food you truly enjoy, is it really worth it? .
I’ve come to realize our mindsets and relationship with food is half the battle. Once you shift that mindset and take away morality from the food you’re eating...remove the labels of “good” food vs. “bad” food. Trust me, it’ll be a much more enjoyable experience and one less thing to stress out about!

Kaum etwas steht für mich so im Zusammenhang mit gesundem Lifestyle wie grüne Smoothies. Klar steckt dahinter auch ganz schön viel Einfluss aus den Medien, trotzdem fühle ich mich besser, wenn mein Frühstück ein grüner Smoothie war.
