That updated waist to hip ratio post detox thoughhhh🙌🏼🙌🏼 I’m down 6.8 lbs after Nancy’s 10 day detox, but more importantly, my body and mind are clear. The first two days were rough as I was getting past sugar withdrawals, after that I was in the clear! It’s easy to let the holiday bad habits slip right on in to the new year because you’re HOOKED - but I nipped that in the bud👊🏼 I didn’t have much to lose other than the few extra pounds of “holiday cheer” I gained in December, I lost a little weight all over & am most impressed with the side profile change (swipe)😳
This 10 Day Detox is FOOD BASED. I would lose my sh*t if I had to survive off of shakes or drinks for even just one day 😂 I got a lot of questions about that! A lot of people said to me, “You don’t need to lose weight, why are you doing a detox?” Well, my main focus in this was to cleanse and reset my body. I want to just say — that when you AVIDLY take care of your health in a proactive manner, your quality of life is just better. All around. You’re frickin’ UNSTOPPABLE. .
I used to be the girl who ate cheese fries and drank monster energy drinks on my break at work in high school😬 - I felt like crap and was always exhausted. It’s not always about losing weight or gaining muscle, but it is about living your life in a balanced way that your 80 year old self will thank you for. This is one of the ways! Take care of yourself😘🙌🏼

Tuesday tip: Take pics of yourself to track your progress rather then weighing yourself all the time. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times my clean eating and workouts have been on point only to step on the scale and see that silly number go up. Not going to lie when you are feeling so good physically and mentally and you see that, it can really feel like you are being punched in the face because let’s face it we got #goals . You have to realize though you are so much more then a number. Put that scale away and go by how you feel! Do you have extra energy through out the day now that you are getting those great workouts in? Can you tell that you’re happier and mentally stronger since making positive changes in your daily routine? If so GET👏 IT 👏GIRl👏! That is TRUE progress right there! You got this. #transformationtuesday

Strong like a mother👊🏼 You guys want to know what my favorite transformation is about this photo? My mindset✨ .
2012: I was exhausted all the time and was not yet a Mom. I told myself that’s what life was like working a 9-5 job and to get used to my new reality. I didn’t know I had #Hashimotos , tried to eat super low carb at all costs...but went out drinking most weekends🤔. I didn’t pay attention to the ingredients I was putting in or on my body, only the numbers on the label. I had no routine and continuously asked myself if I was on the right path. I felt unfulfilled and was searching for my purpose. Life was happening TO me.
2019: I have more energy than I’ve ever had. Majority of mornings I wake up on FIRE ready to take on my day. I’ve been walking through motherhood for almost 3 years now & although my life is the busiest and craziest it’s ever been, I handle whatever comes my way. I no longer hide, crumble, or ignore. I ask questions. I evaluate. I move forward. I challenge myself to be better than the woman and mother I was yesterday. I give myself grace when I make mistakes. I put a whole lotta faith in God & myself to lead me where I’m supposed to be. I respect my body by going to bed at a decent time and waking up early to get my sh*t together. I eat a balanced diet which includes cheat meals that I celebrate, rather than feel guilty about. Life no longer happens to me, because now it happens for me.
My fitness journey really started out as a way to get back in shape...but it’s become SO much more than that now. This is what inner strength looks like for me, you just happen to see it on the outside now too💕

Happy 2nd birthday to Preston!! 🎉💙
I started doing the BBG program religiously when he was 6 months old because it was convenient, and now I can’t believe that means I’ve been doing it for a year and a half😩! I started to do it then because I could do it at home with minimal equipment, space and time. 🏃🏼♀️🧘🏼♀️🏋🏼♀️ I waited until 6 months postpartum so I could be done with breastfeeding and began sleeping slightly longer at night. Getting back into shape after baby number two isn’t the easiest task in the world, but with a little determination and a whole lot of work... anything is possible. You have to find the time, the commitment and the strength to get to where you want to be. My kids have always been a source of inspiration for me to work harder (in all aspects of my life) and to love harder. 💕
I had a frustrating week with my runs and my workouts this past week. I felt like I didn’t have a lot of energy, I felt tired and run down. I wasn’t hitting my run goals or my paces. I was winded and sore after my BBG workouts. I don’t actually know what happened or why. I blamed the weather, I blamed my hormones, I blamed not sleeping through the night for over 7 years 😂 but I still did the work. Because I learned that you have to trust the process and just do it. The training, when put together by people who know their field well, will yield results. They might look different for everyone, but progress nonetheless. Setbacks are not permanent unless we let them be permanent. So that’s where I’m at right now. Also I’ve heard a lot of comments about how I don’t get bored doing the same circuits and workouts and I guess my answer is, I don’t know. But I don’t think or expect workouts to be entertaining, that’s what books are for. Workouts are supposed to be hard and yield change, so I’m good with repetition if it moves me forward. BBG Wk 41 arms is tomorrow and I can’t wait! Any questions? Leave them below!🙌🏼 workout is The BBG program in the @sweat by @kayla_itsines • workout outfit is All Access by @bandier#bbgtransformation#bbg2019#motherrunner#bbgmoms#bbgmums#bbgprogress#bbgmomsover30#bbgmumsover30#fitmom#runningmom#boymom#momofboys#momofthree#momof3#momof3boys#bbgcommunity

BOOTY GAINS 🍑 The first image was taken in 2014 after the birth of my son. During this time, my idea of “fit” revolved around being tiny. 🤦🏽♀️ Fast-forward to the image on the right from last year, I’m about 20lbs heavier. I get asked frequently about how to build a booty so I’ll share with you what’s worked for me.
1. Eat. Simple, yeah? However, some ladies are afraid to up their calories! It’s okay, I used to be the same way. However, I literally had to increase my calories from 1,500 to 2,200 or so to start seeing gains (everyone will require a different amount). Start by upping your calories a little at a time and tweak as you go. Your body NEEDS these calories to grow muscle! Otherwise, it won’t happen.
2. Carbs are your friend. If you want gains, carbs will get you there. Often, people go on lower carb diets to slim down. However, you need carbs to BUILD UP. Aim for complex carbs: fruits, veggies, brown rice, sweet potato, whole grains, oats, and quinoa.
3. Use weights. Bodyweight exercises are awesome, don’t get me wrong! But if you want to build a booty, you must put tension on your gluteal muscles by adding weight. Resistance = change. I love my barbell and I use it to do squats, lunges, deadlifts, and hip thrusts.
4. It takes time. You can’t lift for a week and expect to have a booty just like that. Fat transfers are so common these days, but true results come from consistency and perseverance. Besides, do you want a booty made up of fat or muscle? Trust the process and wake up each day with your eye on the prize. The gains will come with your effort.
5. Screw the scale. As you gain muscle, expect to see the numbers on the scale rise. If this triggers you, throw that damn scale away! There is no right number to a healthy and strong body. I personally love to go by how my clothing fits-not what the scale says.

Stir fry for supper. 🤤
Since limiting my sweets, breads, and unnecessary snacking, I'm more hungry at mealtimes and appreciate a good, healthy, and filling meal. This one hit all the marks, but I definitely put too much cayenne in it... 😜 .
Also, one huge victory for me... I've lost 4 1/2 pounds since starting bbg and making these changes to my diet. 🤗 I don't want to make a number on the scale dictate my success, but I'm excited to say goodbye to some of the weight I gained during pregnancy!
How do I find time to workout?! This is a question that I get ALL time. It may sound simple, but I just make the time for it, I make it a priority. I work full time outside of the home, and have two boys, aged 5 and 3, and I’m pregnant with babe number 3 (if you hadn’t noticed 😂🤰🏼). I carve out time each week and usually get in 4-5 workouts. My workout schedule is usually the same each week, but each day is different, if that makes sense.
Monday - I bring gym clothes to work, and head to the gym straight after.
Tuesday - We have a running club at work, and up until a few months ago, I was running 2-3 miles. I’ve switched to walking for the time being.
Wednesday - I work from one of our other locations, which is closer to one of my gyms. I get to work early and then hit the gym on my lunch break.
Thursday - My work offers either a weekly fitness or yoga class, which I almost always participate in, if my work load allows.
Friday - Rest day
Saturday - My husband and I take turns going to the gym.
Sunday - Rest day. Although I plan to start doing a little prenatal yoga since I’m only 8 weeks away from my due date.
I hope this helps! Basically, you just have to find a schedule that works for you and your family. If you have a family, then you definitely need a good support system. And most importantly you have to want to make it happen! If you do, then you’ll find a way.

Week 10 legs completed first thing this morning, since I still haven’t got myself a step I can use for split squats (I use my treadmill for step ups etc but I can’t jump on and off it as it is to wide) I substituted 1x set for deadlifts with dumbells and the other set for squat jumps. There was wayyy less jumping today so I really enjoyed this mornings workout. I might be the only one but I was loving the burpees with pushups 🤷🏻♀️ #sweat12wc#bbg2019#bbgmums#legdayworkout#burpees#bbgcommunity#sweatwithkayla#sweatapp

I had to smile 😀 Someone invited me to a gym class the other day, but ended it with I know you don’t like the gym- but this class is great. I will be the first one to say I used to LOVE the gym! That is TOTALLY not why I don’t hit up the gym on the regular.
The gym was a blast 👍! I enjoyed the people I met there and the fitness instructors. I loved the spin classes I took on Saturday mornings.
But my life is different now. I would rather workout from home on a Saturday morning and enjoy a pancake breakfast with my family afterwards then spend hours getting to the gym and back.
When my husband gets home from work I would rather spend that time together as a family then rushing off to the gym and only seeing him for a few minutes.
My time now is just more important and I hate wasting it on extra driving and time spent away from my family when I can get an amazing workout from my basement. Plus I’ll be honest- all those hours spent at the gym, while fun- just didn’t get me results.
I never learned how to properly eat, workout, or get stronger. I just did what class I wanted to do or was open at that time and never saw my body change. I spent hours at spin, running, or on the elliptical and didn’t see that scale budge or my clothes start to fit better.
I just feel like while the gym is awesome- it just doesn’t fit with my life anymore and even more now with 3 little ones I need all the extra time I can get 💕💕 #momlife#babynumber3#morningworkout#spinclass#spinningclass

Got these two done with the help of my responsible 7 and 9-year- olds who took turns holding the baby. 💪💕 Special thanks to The Greatest Showman Soundtrack to keep the motivation up. 😊 Whew!! I modified the pushups, but still a killer workout. #bbg #bbgmums #kaylaitsines
Meals and snacks... distinct lack of 🥬 🌱 now that I see it all 😳 And yes, I repeated the mini flapjack picture on purpose 😬 they were so small it seemed ok to have a couple more!
It’s still better than a completely non healthy day so gotta stay positive 💪 and I did a workout so that probably burnt off a couple of the flapjacks 😂
Ps it’s not rabbit droppings 💩 on my porridge - it’s blueberries 🤣
Ladies, I want to reiterate that just like many of the #BBGmums out there, my pregnancy journey has certainly had its ups and downs. When I mentioned earlier that I've been feeling super tired, it's not because I've been working out too much but because sleep has been SO uncomfortable for me lately. To combat this I've created a bed time #routine to ensure I get as much sleep as possible.
1. Sticking to a set bed time - this helps my body to start to recognise when it is almost bedtime
2. Reduce fluid intake before bed - to be clear, I am staying as HYDRATED as possible throughout the day, this literally just means I don't have to get up to pee one thousand times at night (only 4 times haha) 😂
3. Exercise during the day - right now I'm completing a SHORT #pregnancyfriendly workout IF I'm feeling fit and able
4. Music/Meditation - I currently alternate between relaxing music and meditations to calm my mind
5. Extra pillow - I've been getting TERRIBLE heartburn, sitting up slightly tends to ease this a little. Honestly, despite ALL my best efforts I'm still up during the night with body aches. For me, this just means a lot of extra rest during the day now. NAPS are my new best friend hahaha.
Shout out to all the #pregnant ladies out there making it through!!! www.kaylaitsines.com/app #33weekspregnant
Week 32 glutes & hammies #pwr 3.0 🍑.
Since starting the gym I’ve been able to finish my workout much faster then I was at home. Nice not having to change anyone or get something for someone in between sets. With that being said I’ve added a one extra workout into my pyramids just bc. Also set a new PR today for my deadlifts and tbh I feel like I could’ve went for more weight but I feel like quality over quantity. I wanna work on my form etc. Nothing compared to some ladies but Mamas working her way up 💁🏼♀️.
Hope everyone’s having a great day and the sun is shining as bright as it is here today ☀️
The melt is on! The joy that Baby Pak #1 has for running through puddles reflects my excitement for the first day of Spring!! Spring is my favourite season and I can't wait to get more active outside now that it is getting so much warmer!
Arms workout done by 10am 💪. I could get used to this 😉.
Workout done, and now to get some errands done and do some house organization, and of course enjoy the beautiful sunshine 🌞.

Time is going to pass anyways- so you might as well make it count! When you make time the enemy, you're only doing yourself a disfavor. Because spoiler: results take a long time. And lots of hard work. And even more patience. BUT that's where the magic happens! That's when you create healthy habits, when you start to crave movement, when you feel bomb walking outta the gym, when you get excited to try new things, when you feel STRONG and when yah forget about how long it might take- because now you've fallen in love with the process, and it's here to stay🌈
VAIN : someone very close to me said that my Instagram account is very vain. Those words brought on some insecurities. I’m an insecure person to begin with and I find that putting myself out there was a good step in battling my self confidence issues. But this conversation got me thinking...The soul purpose of Instagram is a platform in which we can all share our lives. Express ourselves freely. Everyone’s @instagram is geared towards different things but a majority of handles are filled with selfies, pictures of themselves with or without friends/family while we relay some sort of message to our followers. The initial reason in which I started @arubsweat was to keep myself accountable during my #bbg@sweat journey. As I continue to do so 3 years later, I’ve become a bit more vulnerable / real in my posts and have gotten the courage to open up my account to the public. At this point I am still tracking my #bbgjourney and have added more of what I am passionate about which is wellness + living a healthy lifestyle. My goal is to continue my journey with hopes of inspiring others to workout, eat right, meditate and guide others to heal themselves from every day situations we encounter. Is it vain to be posting photos of myself? Not really...I’m not telling you how amazing I am, how gorgeous I am, how sick my body is. I’m not showing off my butt or my boobs and posing provocatively with duck lips (except this photo, take it as a joke). However, If you don’t like seeing photos of me or reading what I have to say, just don’t follow me. I won’t be offended, I promise. 3.20 #vain
OFF TRACK : do you ever feel like you’re getting off track? I usually give myself the weekend to indulge a little more. But, some times it throws me off for the upcoming week and I feel as though I have to stop giving myself that “enjoy life a bit more” on the weekend. Especially if I want to meet a certain goal. I’m halfway there and I just don’t want to ruin it. Yes, I workout 6x a week and work hard, but nutrition overpowers workouts. Getting myself back on a positive track will take work but I’ve done it before and know I can do it again. If you have any secrets, tips or tricks to keep yourself on track nutrition wise do share !! 3.20 #off
You might think ‘how could someone eat that much in a day!?’ Especially when this was during a time when I was supposed to be “dieting”...
That is precisely the problem!
When I make certain foods completely NO GO, then once I “blow it”, I might as well binge. Because blowing it is blowing it, no matter how badly.
Now I’m trying to be more realistic. If I have a piece of cake 🍰 then I won’t beat myself up, but instead just enjoy it and remind myself I don’t need more.
Anyone else struggle with binging for this reason?
Good lighting and clear skin calls for a selfie 😉 Ok, the real purpose is to ask for opinions on WHEY PROTEIN and ACNE. .
Ever since I went into remission for hyperthyroidism, I was eager to rebuild my muscle from muscle wasting. I hopped on the whey protein bandwagon, taking one serving after every workout. I broke out BADLY from it.
I am the lucky one 🤞🏻who never had issues with acne during teenage years, except for the few occasional spots. These adult acnes caught me off guard. Alot of them are cystic acnes that lie deep below skin surface. New ones just kept appearing everyday. After trying tons of face washes and skincare for acne, NOTHING works. Devastated is an understatement.
I traced back to the first cystic acne (which brewed for months 😓) and realised it could be due to the addition of whey protein into my diet.
After reading up, it seems that the IGF-1 in dairy products is most likely the cause of those acne. And plant based protein is a great alternative. So I switched from whey protein to plant based protein. .
A month after switching to plant based protein, I didn’t get any new cystic acnes but new acnes still appeared. Thinking that my skin was in the midst of “purging”, I continued for another month to see if my skin would clear up. They didn’t. I decided to stop plant based protein too. .
A month after stopping plant based protein, I can finally say my skin is on the way to recovery. With acne scars fading and last few spots drying up. 🤞🏻
I hope this phase will pass soon. Though protein shakes are convenient, the price to pay is simply too high. Will probably incorporate them into recipes rather than have them as a staple daily.
Anyone had similar experiences or tips to manage acne from whey protein? Please share your experiences and tips with me!
Worked out BAREFOOT AND LOVED IT!
I hemmed and hawed all day and ALMOST talked myself out of a workout. Lack of sleep was working hard to get to me today. But after dinner...I pulled up my big girl pants and went to my basement and knocked out #pwr arms and abs day.
It’s amazing what throwing AirPods in my ears and blasting upbeat music can do to wake your a** up and get things done.
You almost got me today sandman but I snuck in the back door and fooled you! #sleepiesttuesdayever
Throwback to 1 year ago when I completed Run for the Kids #r4k I was 32 weeks pregnant ! I’ve signed up for it again this year , I think that makes it 6 years straight ! Can’t wait 😊 #noexcuses#doingitforthekids

It has been a week of many firsts: Building on Mon’s treadmill walk, I got in a slowww resistance workout ystdy! 💪🏻
Looked at @kayla_itsines‘s page (it’s SO helpful!! Kayla you need to do a pregnancy guide!!) to see what moves I could do, and read up on each move to see how it would benefit a pregnant lady + how to modify if necessary. I did 5 rounds, 10 reps each, but breaking each set of 10 into 2 sets of 5. I noticed that if I went thru all 10 reps at one go, my heart rate wld shoot up to 140bpm! But if I took it slow my heart rate would be around 130bpm, which I’m happy w 👍🏻
This felt amaaazing, and I’m just so grateful that I’m able to do this!! I only started not feeling nauseous a month ago, so it’s been a slow wait to see how I feel + be ready to try (or even think about!) a resistance workout 😍 So to any pregnant mamas in their first trimesters, struggling w constant nausea and fatigue, I FEEL YOU. It sucks big time but it WILL get better slowly, even if it feels like it never will. Message me if you need tips too cuz I tried EVERYTHING for my nausea ❤️
A lovey-dovey aside: Mega thanks to A who legit said: “Why don’t you go workout, and I’ll cook dinner?” 😭 Every day his actions remind me why I married this man 🥰
Leg day done! Made it to the gym on this beautiful day, and killed that leg day. Pretty sure I'm going to have jello legs tomorrow. And I was brave enough to take a selfie in the gym...and it ain't quiet in here. Though I'll admit it's the only one I took. I'm not brave enough to take more haha!😂🤷. Hope everyone is having a fabulous Tuesday!
I feel a bit like a Super Hero in this outfit 😆 If I could have a super power I’d love to be super strong 💪🏻 but if I’m honest the only power I’m channeling at the moment is Super Tired! 😴I’m finding it a lot harder to exercise now that I’m working shifts, I’m either home late or recovering from the day before so whenever I do get chance to workout I try and make the most of it. Let’s just say I have a new found appreciation for girls that hold down a full time job, a family and manage to get to the gym, I don’t know how you fit it all in! 😂 #womenaremysuperheroes
When people tell me they wish they were as confident as I am. The definition of confidence is to be certain in ones self. I am certain I have a big ass, I am certain I have a flabby tummy, I am certain I have stretch marks, I am certain I have cellulite and I am certain my body is amazing because it allows me to walk around daily on my own, breathing on my own without any health implications. I AM CERTAIN THAT I AM TRULY BLESSED WITH THIS BODY OF MINE AND I WILL LOVE IT HARD. 💫
