The way we went and in my opinion probably the easiest way is to get the 101 bus to Hastings Country Park and just walk down from there. There are maps but to make it easier for you just follow the yellow signs like we did!
Going this way you definitely got an extra adventure as we found small waterfalls and amazing "insta" spots.
It was very quite and not many people passed through either, a truly lovely place for a walk and I'm sure there's plenty more of the country park we didn't see.
Eventually you will see signs saying the beach is closed, follow those and then you will see the sign on the pictures above. Yes that's right, it's a nudist beach, so please only go if you feel comfortable with that.
Another tip I would say that is really important is please check the tide times! You do not want to be doing this 5 mile beach hike with the tide slowly coming to get you.
We went just as the tide was at its highest so that as we were walking the tide was going out.
It also meant the beaches were a lot more empty however we didn't get to see the golden sands. *
