This was BY FAR the most common question. It tells me two things: 😳

1. I’ve already answered this a million times over but for some reason y’all didn’t go back and read it. You’re either too busy, lazy 😂, or... . 🤔

2. You were hoping I had come up with a magic pill 💊 in the last 48 questions to “fix” your high cortisol. 😲

Sadly, I have not but I SWEAR if I had a magic pill, I would let you know ASAP! 👏🏼

So, this means YOU have to do the work in figuring out why your cortisol is high. Is it stress? Are you sleeping? Do you have an overt or subclinical infection? Is it inflammation? Is it your blood sugar issues? Are you in pain? Do you have cushings? 🤨
.
Next, address it. Be real and honest with yourself, your choices, your relationships, your job...etc...and decide if *maybe* they are worsening your high cortisol. They may be just fine! They may not. 😣
.
Work with your practitioner about bandaids like phos serine, l-theanine, holy basil, magnolia, passionflower, skullcap, Maca, chamomile, lavender OR WHATEVER HELPS CALM YOUR LIFE! 🤩
.
But you have to address the cause. Because those herbs and nutrients aren’t a cure-all for anything. 🤪
.
Remember to ask your practitioner, not me, for doses or company brands. 🤷🏼‍♀️
.
Meditate, seek counseling, use essential oils, journal, exercise, laugh, snuggle your dog, get together with friends regularly, rest, say no, set boundaries and get proper testing! 🙌🏼

No saben lo riiico que es esto! Me encanta ponerle mucho limón, es uno de mis aliados favoritos en las milanesas. .

Las mila ya las tenía en el freezer, las saqué, le puse puré de tomate y queso. .
La ensalada la hice cortando en cubos unas rodajas de zapallo anco que me quedaron cocidas de anoche, puse a hervir el huevo , unos cherry infaltable y listooo!!! .
.
Siempre es mas fácil si tenes algo pre hecho. Si te cuesta innovar en comidas con vegetales,  #planificate el menú . Una vez que le agarras la mano, sale mas fácil 😀 .

  • Creamy tomato pasta with mushrooms and kale! Not much to say about this except for yuuuum 😍. Super simple to throw together, flavourful, just the perfect pasta dish. I’ll leave the recipe below for you all to try out!

Creamy tomato pasta with mushrooms and kale
150g pasta of choice
1/2 large onion, chopped
150g mushrooms, chopped
150g fresh cherry tomatoes, chopped
1/2 can canned tomatoes
1/4 can coconut milk
1 tbsp tamari
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp onion salt
1/4 tsp cumin
1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
2 cups kale, de-stemmed and chopped
Cook the pasta according to packaging instructions. Meanwhile, add the onion and mushrooms to a non-stick frying pan and cook for around 5 minutes, until the mushrooms soften. Then, add the cherry tomatoes, canned tomatoes, coconut milk, tamari, smoked paprika, onion salt and cumin. Cook, stirring frequently, on a low-medium heat for around 3-4 minutes, then stir in the cooked pasta, kidney beans and kale and cook until the kale wilts (around 2 minutes).

Últimamente en algunas recetas he estado utilizando algunos sustitutos cuando no tengo huevo a la mano o mi proteína la quiero utilizar en otra preparación. Sin embargo es ideal para #meatlessmonday o aquellos que no consumen huevo.

Es importante recalcar que similan las texturas para realizar preparaciones de platillos, pero nutricionalmente todos son diferentes tanto en Macronutrimentos como en calorías.

Son ideales por que  cualquiera de estos se acopla  a tu platillo dependiendo de si tú prepracion es dulce o salada.

  • Remember why you started. I started this journey 5 years ago...& I really kicked my butt for a good year & a half...I lost 80 pounds...& then I started a new job & I maintained for a long time!! Then I slowly gained back 30 pounds. But, since the end of July to now I’ve lost 56 pounds...& I’m going to keep going! I’m actually the pant size I was as a senior in high school!!! A size 22! Like woooow. That was a shocker today. Hard work & determination y’all. That’s all it takes!!!! I’m officially 282....& I’m mind blown! I might be in the 270’s by Christmas 🎄 YUUUUSSSSS!!!! #transformationthursday #weightlossjourney #igotthis #motivateyourself #behappy #behealthy #loveyourself #yuuussss #loveyourbody

I have had quite a few clients that have been getting disappointed that they do not have any discoloration from their cupping session. I wanted to post up to explain the discoloration is a sign of stagnation, overuse, toxin build up and sometimes dehydration. All of these conditions may lead to disfunction. Cupping that results in little or no discoloration is still effective for increasing blood flow, removal of waste products, calming the nervous system and adding pliability to fascia. 
I am proud of my healthy back muscular that is free of excessive toxins and well hydrated.

  • Starting the recovery process all over again is in no way easy, but yoga is something that has always been there and has always helped get me back on my feet.

It's really discouraging when you can't even stand up without getting tachycardia. If I tried to start any cardio now, I would end up back in bed! 
Starting from scratch isn't just discouraging physically but also mentally. I'm a doer, so when I can't even do something simple like stand without my body getting upset, it wears on me.

But that's another reason why I turn to yoga. It really helps to slow me down mentally. To help accept that I'm starting again, but that's okay.

Slowly, mindfully, I'm taking steps that are healthy for myself physically and mentally.

P.S. if you haven't actually looked into yoga for POT Syndrome, it's actually a great place to start building endurance and strength in your body because you doing mindful movements to increase your muscles, and it stimulates your vagus nerve which is amazing at chilling out your nervous system! Also, if you have fibromyalgia, it's great for supporting pain!

Those are just a few of the reasons I became a certified yoga teacher🧘‍♀️

I pray to my sweet Lord from the deepest core of my being to empower and enable me to offer and serve my all through my body, mind, heart and soul till I am and even after I’m gone. .

#OrganDonation is something I always wanted to do and there’s no reason for me to have taken this long. #Lifeisablessing which sure comes with its own uncertainty. 
I’ve seen many loved ones go as they couldn’t be provided with #healthyorgans in time. On the other hand, I have very inspiring friends and family who have donated a part of them to their dear ones and many who have pledged to donate their organs after their death.

Each of us can save upto 8 lives. 
What is the point of being burnt to ashes or be buried intact? Even if there’s one tiny spec of ours that can help another, why not offer it willingly. .

It is imperative for us to #behealthy so we can thrive in our own being and our loved ones enjoy us while we are around. And then we can further share our healthy selves with others for them to #livehealthy. Simple.

It was on Jahaan’s 11th Birthday, earlier this year, I made the pledge. Jahaan, my son, my tree, blossoms twice a year. He patiently waits for months and nourishes itself to welcome abundance. In season, in the darkness of the night it flowers and every morning it shares and bares all of itself. Hope God finds his Mumma worthy to do this too.
