  • Känslan just nu😴
Försöker verkligen känna energi...
Men regnet, dimman och leran ute börjar ta ut sin rätt😕
Längtar verkligen efter vintern och snön😔

  • Taking a break from the whole "highlights" job to post about kids and babies. And don't worry, keeping it short. 😘 (ish)

This baby has smacked Meeko several times and has KICKED Meeko. I do not allow this baby near Meeko anymore because he doesn't listen. Plain and simple.
But my dog is AMAZING, and moves away and comes to me asking for help and gives me the opportunity to adjust the situation. I praise him and do just that.

Kids under the age of 9 should not be left alone with dogs.
Now hear me out:
I am referring to the average child.
And the average dog.
Every parent wants to think their child is God's gift and would never hurt a dog, and it's the same for dog owners.

BUT ACCIDENTS HAPPEN.
And I don't just mean with bites.
A dog could get startled and jump up, knocking a baby over, try to grab a toy and get their hand, try to eat their diaper(🤷🏽‍♀️ just saying) etc.

But yes of course BITES happen.

When I was 7 our dog Duke bit me because I was picking up pieces of kibble he dropped and put them back in the bowl. He gave me a quick correction to my thumb and I never messed with his food again. 💁🏽‍♀️ Dogs are also NOT nannies, playgrounds, or anything of the such in between.
STOP. LETTING. YOUR CHILDREN. CLIMB. ON. THEM.
It's horrible for their bodies. They're not made for load bearing.
You're also not teaching your child to respect the animal. "My dog doesn't care." Are you sure they're not just extremely patient and you're missing signs? Dogs can tolerate things just like us. If they truly do that care.. The next one will I assure you.
"My dog has never growled at my child." No but someone else's may, and you will have to make sure your child understands what that means. (Not all dogs growl before biting)
"Our child would never kick or step on a dog."
Accidents happen. They could trip and fall, misstep, simply not see the tail.. etc.. Teach and train respect both ways and protect both your children and dog. 💖 they each deserve it. 🐾🦇🦊🐶
