Thank you for putting up with many years of neglect. Thank you for sticking by my side during years of self-shame, blame and guilt. I was confused. In the eyes of society you were not right. As a ballerina you made my career harder. As a woman who wanted to be skinny to be “successful”, adored and accepted you made life incredibly challenging.

I thought you were trying to make my life miserable because every time I’d try to change you you wouldn’t. No matter how little I ate or how much I worked out, you were still you but worse... you were in pain. My anger toward you grew with the bad habits I developed to spite you. I hurt you because of the misery I thought you were causing me. You were not who I thought I should be.
_
I see differently now. I’m sorry for all of it but especially for blaming you for my unhappiness. For blaming you for what I thought I lacked in life. 
_
I now see my unhappiness came from not loving you. Moving forward that’s what I’ll dedicate my life to. Thank you for being the greatest gift I’ve got and for being one resilient muthaf*cka.

Anyway, avoid letting anyone ever make you feel like shit. No one has the power to displace you this way,

  • I am amazed out how much the way I lift has contradicted everything the "professionals" said would hurt my game. I have been lifting this since I was 13 years old. I doubted myself early in my career thinking this style of training was hurting my ability to  play at the highest level. I bought in and taught other players the methods that were "golf specific" and avoided heavy lifting... Thr truth is... Just Train.. and train hard, allow your body to move in a functional manner. Stop using machine and become the machine. It is natural that as your body gets stronger, the weight is going to get heavier, let it. Challenge yourself, as the course and the field is going to challenge you. Find what breaks you and push through it...   • 19.4 open workout - Finished the 3 rounds of 10 snatches and 12 burpees at 4:53. Loved the 3 minute rest 😅 Then got 3 reps into the 3rd round of 10 chest to bar pull-ups and 12 burpees at the 12 minute time cap. (113 reps total) Rested until the 13 minute mark, then finished my last 19 reps because Goonies never say die. Finished @ 14:36. #19Point4 #InTheOpen #CrossfitOpen #CrossfitOpen2019

It is still Women’s History Month, so I want to take some time to dedicate this post to all the amazing women in the obstacle course racing community.
As individuals, you are always inspiring your loved ones to attain their personal goals by tackling whatever obstacle lies ahead of them, persevere through all sorts of internal and external adversities, and be confident in themselves and their abilities. Altogether, whether you know it or not, you are making history as you continuously influence women from around the world to participate in an exponentially growing sport where they can prove that they are just as good as (and, in most cases, even better than) the men.
I really do not know how many of you made it this far into reading this post, lol. But, I want you to know that I truly respect the work ethic, drive, and dedication of each and every one of you, and watching you reach (as well as exceed) your goals motivates me to do the same for myself. Thank you all for being one of my reasons why I race. 😊
P.S. Sorry for the lack of pictures; I really had no reason to use my phone when there was no cellular service at Diablo Grande. Also, I enjoyed the person-to-person conversations with everyone I met, lol.

    It is still Women’s History Month, so I want to take some time to dedicate this post to all the amazing women in the obstacle course racing community.

Hace unos 150 años, Karl Marx estaba seguro de que la clase trabajadora, en su conjunto, se alzaría y superaría la opresión si tuviera la oportunidad. Lo que Marx no incluyó en la ecuación fue el proceso de pensamiento impulsado por la pobreza de las personas. Dé a las personas que trabajan en la conciencia de la clase media una oportunidad de un millón de dólares, y encontrarán la forma de regresar a la clase media.

Tarea para hoy: Hágase esta pregunta de pensamiento crítico: ¿A qué nivel de éxito monetario me siento más cómodo? A) clase  de pobreza b) clase media c) clase mundial. 
Donde se sienta más cómodo refleja su autoimagen, y muy probablemente, su estado actual.

Si desea hacerse rico, comience por elevar su autoimagen mejorando la autoconversación que utiliza con respecto al dinero y las finanzas.
