You are looking here at some Texas summer essentials ☀️. Y’all, I remembered the heat and humidity from my childhood. 😓 I remembered the flat plains and vibrant bluebonnets. 🛣
But, I forgot how green the lush foliage was. I forget the intensity of the sun and how the air wraps me in comfort. I also forgot the bugs.🦟🦗🕷🐜
So, I’m here living in the sunshine with Young Living’s plant-based, toxin-free sunscreen and insect repellant AND this handy little “Bug-Bite Thing” from @bugbitething to help extract the insect venom from under the skin to eliminate the itching, stinging and swelling that does occur when one of the hordes of insects gets stuck between your sandal and your toes (I wouldn’t know a thing about that🤣🤣🤣). First of all, you’re doing great. I am so proud of you! You have a lot of reasons to smile, but here are a few life tips from an ole’ gal with some more experience under her belt.
You should probably relax a little bit. Take a deep breathe and relax your shoulder muscles. Then do it again and also start saving $20 a month.
You need to sleep more. You look pretty exhausted. It’s hard for the rest of life to go smoothly if you aren’t letting yourself recharge. Sleep should be a priority for you. Which brings me to my next point.
Why are you eating pizza for dinner every night?? Try and eat more green stuff. Just try. I promise you’ll feel better.
Not all men are evil. I know you were hurt, but you’re ok now. There are many, many good men in the world. Don’t take it out on all of them! I promise you’ll find a kind soul.
Forgive yourself. It’s ok you aren’t perfect. It’s ok, you're not even CLOSE. Just keep working hard and being nice to people. You’ll be ok.

Sometimes, when you’ve reached the top, you can’t see it. We are so close to ourselves, our own personal vantage point, that we can’t see or appreciate our progress. If you’re waiting to be fulfilled by some far off goal it will never happen. You can hit your goal but your fulfillment won’t be there. You have to take pleasure in the work now otherwise you will suffer. The difference between suffering and happiness is accepting the eternal now and loving things as they unfold.
The first photo is the peak shrouded in mist and fog. You can see how high up it is. The second photo was taken at the top. Because of the mist and fog you can’t see how high Heath and I climbed. Even from my perspective I couldn’t see the valley below clearly l, in that spot I had no idea how high we were, we could have just started the hike, but I knew because we did the work. Every step we were there, smiling, diggin’ it. It was amazing and ethereal. The real unknown.
Reaching the top isn’t the key to enlightenment. The whole mountain teaches. Ignite the soul and let suffering burn away until you feel bliss.

Part of building a business is working from the inside out. My type A somewhat perfectionist mentality can get me stuck in the ‘I just need to take one more course’, or ‘get that certification’, or do more research in order to do X thing. But what business books and courses often neglect is how much building a business, being an entrepreneur and being a leader is an inside job...and... it doesn’t have to be hard. Instead of pushing, striving and achieving, try thanking and receiving. Whenever I push harder, I get less of what I want. I continue to learn this lesson. When I am grateful and am open to joy, the beauty and aliveness of life which I am seeking appears at my feet. I swear. It’s crazy. Try it. I will keep trying out this gratitude thing too. Because what’s the worst that can happen? You are a little bit happier and joyful? You are more open creatively? You get less done from your checklist but more done to appreciate life, fulfill you and ultimately make you happier? I never considered myself overweight but I never ate that great and I always went up and down in weight these last 7 years. I went from a size 8 pants to a size 4 after college from just eating unhealthy and not exercising consistently. It was not good at all.
I always felt self conscious and hated what I seen in the mirror most of the time I had chubby thighs, my hips felt large and all the extra weight went to my booty. 😔 I never wore tight shirts and avoided certain colors because of feeling like I just didn’t look good and that belly just never went away.
My mom always said it was the all the junk and processed stuff they put in food.😩
I thought way to much about what people thought of me and I was so self conscious.
I grew up in a family that didn’t eat healthy a lot or exercise very much so I had a lot to learn. I wasted about a year before I finally just gave it my all and got healthy. The second picture is the happy and healthy me and I’m so proud of how far I’ve come and still wearing a size 4 and about 130 but those abs are finally appearing and the weight I’ve lost in my hips, belly, legs and booty has crazy. I stuck to it and 6 months of consistent working out and eating right has taught to me to love myself and never go back to the girl on the left. Everyone’s journeys are different but you just gotta start somewhere.

Being in the Coaching field has tested me in so many ways. It has brought my deepest insecurities & fears to the surface & has punched me in the face more times than I can count. .
Am I good enough? Are people going to like me? What if the next launch isn't as successful as the last one? What if I never make it to the level I desire? What if I lose people along the way? What if.......
Those what ifs will be the reason why you talk yourself out of your beautiful ideas and I won't let that happen because I know what it feels like. .
That guy wrenching, heart racing mental barrier will hold you back from what's on the other side of fear. I know a thing or two about fear and what's on the other side. Today, I am here to teach you about it. .
. #1 . Fear is your friend and when you can look it in the eye with a positive mindset about what you can achieve breaking through it, your entire life will transform. #2 . Breaking through fear requires a deep desire & trust in yourself, your abilities, and what results you can give others. Fear will always be present yet your ability to be confident in the eye of it will determine whether or not you will keep going when you feel unworthy of transformation. #3 . Accepting the truth & sharing your most vulnerable feelings is always the most challenging part yet once you do, you connect to others on a much deeper level. Fear will try and stop you from doing so but if you want to connect deeper you must find that internal validation & use it as fuel to serve others. .
On the other side of fear is possibility, trust, joy, and excitement. Doing things that scare you will open you up to the very things that you truly want. It is already within you and now it's up for you to decide how bad you really want it. .

I’m focusing on recalibrating my self-care habits this week as they often get put on the back burner at this point in the term. .
This week I’m focusing on building consistent and intentional mindfulness into my days (I use headspace and am aiming for 10 minutes a day), limiting multitasking, and sticking to my app limits. .
When I make goals like this I’m careful not to focus on the ways I feel like I’ve drifted from good habits. Instead, I’m choosing to use my intention for increased presence and connectedness and decreased stress as motivation. .
I hope you’re heading into a good week, and that you find ways to take care of yourself - not because you’ve been doing it wrong, but because you deserve it. .

I used to ride the “roller coaster” of life and allow my days and feelings to be dictated by the things I thought were happening to me.
I know many people still live life like this and just need a subtle perspective shift in order to catch the upgrade they need.
For me, this upgrade came through coaching and self transforming work that I’ve done.
I now understand that life can be whatever I want and make it to be. It is up to me to take responsibility for the feelings I want to feel. It is up to me to be present in each moment, to be Alive and to truly live in the essence of life!
No matter what you are dealing with, whether it is depression, loss of a loved one, holding resent towards others, being in an abusive relationship, or just having a “bad day” you hold the power to determine how the rest of this day plays out.
With so many people stumbling around with a case of the “Mondays” how will you break free from lower nature thinking and be present to focus on the feelings you want to generate today?
You are unlimited potential and your best dream life is just waiting on you to show up and take responsibility to be your best self.

Don’t make anymore excuses bc that’s BS. Prepping 4 days worth of this lunch took me less than 20 minutes. I use to be that person who would come up with any excuse in the book to get out of prepping and it got me no where. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In 20 minutes, I heated up 2 bags of frozen veggies, cut up turkey sausage links & bagged an English muffin. You CAN do this. Prepping doesn’t have to be hard, complex or time consuming. I’m best when prepping is simple. So I carved out 20 minutes to get 4 lunches ready to grab and go. Are you ready to drop the excuses?
