  • there are tears in the ceiling. tears, rips, vulnerable exposure of brilliant blue. blue that grows bluer as we grow taller. do not cry in your sleep, treasure that raw emotion. hold your tears over tears and then let them go. i’m in love with the sky.

  • Tiger's Nest - Have you felt any goosebumps yet!! If not then you should probably be standing there in my place here. This place is just cherry on top of my Bhutan trip . The pre-eminence of the place -Guru Padmasambhava(who is known to bring Buddhism in Bhutan) who flew from Tibet on back of a tigress who is said to had been wife of an emperor of Tibet and turned herself to a tigress. He meditated here for 3 years 3months 3days and 3hours in the 8th century. .
.
.

Let me include what I felt -
As you get inside the monastery you will feel a sense of peace is pacing inside you and a impetus inside your soul. You would feel the presence of a force is so making you submissive. It is said that ultimate spiritual goal of buddhism is NIRVANA so you can surmise that my kinda NIRVANA was transitory.
P.S-It is believed that if you pray here and ask for a wish your wishes are fulfilled so fingers crossed I might be there again!!😁
P.P.S- 4.5 hrs to complete the trail was every min worth.

22 April 2019: On behalf of the people of Bhutan, His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen offered prayers at the Kuenrey of the Tashichhodzong, and offered a thousand butterlamps, in memory of those who lost their lives in a series of bomb attacks in Sri Lanka on Sunday. The Prime Minister and government officials also joined in the prayer ceremony.
More than 290 people lost their lives, and over 500 were injured following 8 explosions in Colombo, Negombo and Batticaloa, which mainly targeted churches and hotels as people were worshipping and celebrating Easter Sunday.
His Majesty sent a message of condolence to the President of Sri Lanka, His Excellency Maithripala Sirisena, expressing the solidarity of the people of Bhutan with the people of Sri Lanka.
As well as the prayer ceremony held at Tashichhodzong, special prayers are also being held in other important temples, upon the Command of His Majesty The King. His Holiness the Je Khenpo presided over prayers at Namdroling Goenzin Dratshang in Lhuentse. Chenrezi Moenlam was performed in Changangkha Lhakhang, and a thousand butterlamps were offered in Kyichu Lhakhang, Paro, where Zangchoe Moenlam was performed. In Semtokha Dzong, a three-day Mithub Tongchae prayer ceremony is being performed.

Bhutan and Sri Lanka have close relations due to a shared spiritual heritage, and as co-members of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC). Bhutan continues to send a number of students to study medicine in Sri Lanka each year, and a large number of Bhutanese doctors have a special connection to Sri Lanka, having lived and studied there.
