This piece is a desire for perspective, of seeing from way up high. Uninhibited, clear vision. Soaring vision. Wisdom. ▫️
Inspired by songs from @cagelessbirds,
and an image from my sis @adventuring_with_joy. ▫️
I’m honestly proud I finished the piece. As I wrote a few days ago, I felt so much “flow” the first time I painted it. I was absolutely glued in, and painted for hours. A storm caused a leak through the rafters, which ruined the first painting before it was complete. Typically, if a piece didn’t work, or somehow became messed up, I would not paint it again. I often don’t feel the creative juice to paint the same image more than once. For some reason though, I had to paint these birds: these symbols of vision. I didn’t feel the same flow this second time, but I actually like this one better in the end.
As the dusk dawned on me, I perched on the tree and watched the sunset...gazing at how orange blended with the mauve.
I sat there thinking, is caring necessary? Maybe I would not have had this conversation with myself had I not been concerned of others. I love to be there when they need me. I love to be there when they want me. I love to be there when they are troubled. But what about the times I wished you were there for me too?! Maybe caring is not really an important thing right now. What about the peace of mind that faded away from me?!
I was just like the other chirpers, waking up early doing my usual chores, enjoying the clear blue skies, flying high with open wings, hiding in my nest when there is torrential rain, storing food for the winters, preening my feathers to groom myself, singing when the ambiance sounded musical and what not. 🐦🎶
I used to look at the humans sitting there, wondering how hectic their life is. They have to take care of every emotions they encounter. They have to go through several bouts of happiness, sadness, ego, anger, excitement and pretend everything is just fine, putting on a different shade of color at their faces. They love to listen to their heart but sometimes, it fails. And in midst of everything, I acquired this s*it too!
So while resting on this branch now, watching the colors playing in the sky, when the baby birds are returning home back with their parents, when the humans are going home back from work, I realized that with change of time the things that once made you doleful, will mend those nicked regions in you..., you have got to trust the power of healing and how time will play its magical wand to make things alright.
Should the Eagles draft WR Marquise Brown?🤔🦅
Btw I’m still new to jersey swaps so cut me some slack😂idek wtf is going on with his pants😂

[ via: @yahoosportsca ] Toronto 🇨🇦@raptors cruise past @orlandomagic in historic NBA series It was the first time in club history the Raptors had ever won four straight playoff games – this one a 115-96 beat-down. They also became the first Raps team to finish a seven-game series in five games.
The Raps are advancing to the second round for the fourth consecutive year. As the game ended, the Raptors waited to see if the @sixers would hold on to their big lead and eliminate the @brooklynnets and advance to a second-round meeting with the Raps. Story: @globeandmail
