Hope y’all making the most of the beautiful weather this bank holiday. While you’ve all enjoyed a bev in the sun I’ve been in a cold basement. 😂
Here’s Ghost World OST released RSD19 I picked up for my pal @___redpanda___. One of the only things I managed to bag on the actual day from @vinyltaprecords. Amazing day but not much chance at a good haul when you have to wait for the queue to go (and heartbreakingly watch as your top picks sell out)

Good start to a solid month of touring @cousinkula and @hippobristol back2back, soldering iron out after night 1 lol (night 1 was great tho). BUUUTT the Kula vinyl has arrived and looks amazing. The book of Elliot's single artworks that accompanies it is amazing - after years of seeing the art just as mini thumbnails on spotify, having them on massive sheets is super. #vinyl#tour#soldering#synths#bluevinyl#newmusic
Just throwin' it back to my appearance on the "Belle et Bum" show last month.
...in the hopes that one of my junior high French teachers sees it and says, "THAT kid?! I thought he was hopeless!"
Merci aux musiciens de l’orchestre, qui ont arrangé mes chansons de façon remarquable et avec qui c’était un vrai plaisir de collaborer!
FRANK OCEAN & CHILDISH GAMBINO ...this ain’t them, this is #Berhana but if you’re into their albums (especially the early stuff) you’ll dig this guy. Experimental af, blending sounds across multiple genres to create this unique but cohesive album ...or is it a mixtape? cause the it reminds me of #NostalgiaUltra in the best way. Good on you, @vinylmeplease for exposing myself and others to these tracks. #nowspinning@berhana#HAN#2019#bluevinyl#vinyladdiction
Sorry about the double post today. It’s time for the next part of my #rocktober A-Z theme and it’s P as in Presley, Elvis Presley. The King 👑 I might have made a post about this album before, don’t know, can’t remember, but it’s his finest album so I might post it again in the future 😊
Moody Blue was released a few weeks before his death in august 1977. It have six studio tracks and four live tracks. The studio tracks was recorded in 1976 and all but one of the livetracks in the spring of 1977. The reason for the inclusion of the live tracks was because the record company had trouble getting the King to come to the studio. So they actually set up a studio at #graceland in the #jungleroom so that Elvis could record when he felt like it. Aparently not enough times though 😉
His voice is fantastic on this album (as always) and without a doubt is this my favourite album of his. The title track, the rocking Way Down and the two slow numbers She Thinks I Still Care and He’ll Have To Go are my top choices. And Let Me Be There, and... and... 😊👍
Any Elvis fans here? •
Fun fact: the beautiful blue transparent vinyl from 1977 isn’t as rare as many think. The first pressing was on blue vinyl to go with the title. Only a few was released in black. After his death they went back to blue again and pressed millions. That is if I remember correctly. No guaratees though😊
Tomorrow it is time for Q as in...
Wow it's already sweet 16.. cant believe it.. when ever I listen to in the zone i feel like it was only yesterday that it was released. So happy to have both versions of vinyl in my collection.. its amazing what urban outfitters is doing to us this year. I thank you, so grateful for these dreams to be reality 🥰
Found this flexi-disc in an op shop. Further research reveals that it was given away with the October 1991 issue of Dolly magazine. It’s a good song, and it doesn’t sound too bad considering the format. Also, it’s an awesome shade of blue.

This studio I share with some of my best friends and favourite musicians is on one of Mile End’s ugliest thoroughfares. A location which I always hoped would prevent the immediate surroundings from being gentrified. But the row of apartments opposite us is entirely Air B&Bs now.
This space was a sinister-looking munitions plants in WWII. Then a metal sculptors’ shop. Sometime around 2004, studio mates Joe Grass, David Payant, Zac Decamp and Mike O’Brien had the foresight to turn it into a rehearsal/recording space with the help of a Jeunes Volontaires grant (merci, ma belle province!)
Every time I step in the door I wordlessly thank them for building this place.
