When @stephwakefield first came to me Dolci, With Love was a tonne of photos in folders, and a half finished book, with no meaningful story or thread tying it all together due to unforeseen circumstances. Here’s how Steph made her ‘out-there’ idea into the sexy tangible book of memories it is now: “I flew photographer Emily Abay and an assistant over to Positano, with a tight 5 day schedule to capture the photography for the book. Upon arrival the entire brief was changed - no fault from our end - rather, an 'Italian' change of plans. 🙄 So I asked Emily to take pictures of all she could through her creative eye. People. Places. Faces. And of course, food.
More over, it was warming up at this time - cakes were melting, styling props were getting couriered each day from Positano to Sorrento (we needed more than we anticipated). Language barriers with communicating ingredients and methods was rough. Nothing, literally nothing was going to plan. At the end of the trip, I had a mountain of stunning material, yet no concept given the initial was shattered.
Once I returned back to Australia, I began the process of constructing the book with the imagery and loose concept I then had in mind, based on new boundaries. Upon first round development with a graphic designer, it just didn't work. It didn't convey what it needed to.
Nine months later with a half finished book - I met Jess and embarked on the process of creating a new concept into what you now see as Dolci, With Love in the flesh.
Jess translated my anecdotal feelings about the journey, onto paper - finally bringing it to life in the manner it deserved - weaving in my poetry, dozens of behind the scenes images originally not taken for the book (and a mountain of spell checks later); 📝 Dolci, With Love was born. Jess evolved and elevated Dolci, With Love. It’s everything I could have hoped for.” ❤️
Time For A Quick Review🛒🛍 💅🏻 @minisoindia water based peel off nail polish.
Honestly guys, this is my new obsession. They have quite a good range of colors to choose from.
At first, I was being very skeptical about buying this. But then later on I thought ki chalo try hi karte hain! Its just 90 bucks, and the colour pay off is just amazing!
You can throw one of these bottles in your purse and if you find your nail paint starting to chip off you know just what to do!
For those who are concerned about praying your namaz with this nail paint on, just peel off the nail paint before making your wudhu, and apply it just after the prayer!
I clicked this picture in the natural daylight. No filter, just raw picture. :)
