On Monday we train legs! And by we I mean me cause I’d rather train alone except for the rare occasion -
I don’t need external motivation, I give my best everyday and if I can’t lift it up on my own.. it ain’t getting up! - @international_protein@gassdnutrition@mntsydney

Exactly twenty five years between pictures but in the same exact spot. 1994 and then this morning 2019. This used to be my old "heavy slag iron" haunt. Free's gym (Bill Kazmier used to lift here along with a bunch of Cali powerlifting legends). This place was Ultra Hardcore, you basically got after it and bled and spit where you wanted. I had some brutal, brutal, (did i say brutal?) HEAVY workouts here. Bodybuilding is such a humbling endeavor, it can absolutely mess up your psyche. I was a robust 137lbs at 6'1" when i started lifting at 20 years old (yea thats not a typo)...I was beyond painfully skinny and I knew i had to do something about it. I devoured every single bit of information I could find and it took me 2.5 years of pounding food and training like a madman but I made it to 189lbs (great....2.5 years to get to everyone elses starting point LOL). I was driven. This was going to take years but I was up for the task. The man at the time who was my same height was Berry Demey. And he weighed 245 to 260 offseason before dieting down for shows. Thats what I needed to do! I put away more food than probably anyone in the history of bodybuilding and I can remember all my sticking points. I got up to 204, then 212, 224, 228, 234, 238 (stuck here at 238-242 for what seemed like an eternity, 256, 265lbs (I MADE IT I DID IT!!!!) There was one huge gigantic problem though! At the very same time I made my goal and want to compete.... 6'1 Gary Strydom and 6'1 Chris Duffy arrive on the scene and both of them are competing at 258 to 262lbs ONSTAGE! What the hell?! Thats my offseason weight! And both of them got up to over 300 in the offseason. I pick myself back up and get back to work....HEAVY SLAG AND SO MUCH FOOD IT WAS ASTOUNDING. I get up to 272, then 283, then 294, then 303lbs (I MADE IT I DID IT!!!!) There was one huge problem though. Its now the late 90's and 6'1" Gunther Schlierkamp shows up onstage for his shows at 297lbs. The guy is onstage again weighing what I did offseason. I gathered myself and was kind of plotting my gameplan and then this happened. CONTINUED BELOW

Had quite a few people ask me recently “what is the ideal weight I should be for someone my height?” And I literally just stare at them blankly for about 10 seconds because a) I don’t know how to answer their question because there is no answer and b) who the fuck cares about your weight anyway!?
I currently weigh 18kgs more than I did back when I reached my lowest weight and I can promise every single one of you that I am 100x happier with my body now than I was 4 years ago and that’s a fact. Guys and girls, your ‘ideal body weight’ is wherever the fuck you’re HAPPY in your own skin. Please please don’t ever let a number on the scales define you 🙏 happy Monday ❤️

What's your favorite bodyweight exercise?
I usualy start my workouts with a compound lift such as bench press, deadlift, squat, overhead press, etc.
Depending on what muscle group I'm working on
I also end my workouts with a bodyweight workout such as pullups, dips, handstand press, leg lifts ,etc
I do this because yes I want to be big and muscular but I also want to learn to control my body and stay explosive.
I hope all of you have a wonderful Monday and kill your workout today💪🏼
Happy Monday! 🥳 •
You know it’s gonna be a good week when coach says “I updated your plan, please don’t hate me.” 😂🥴 @lindseycfit@acceleratedfitnessmedina •

THRIVING ! 😭 major s/o to @kt.the.at for working her magic and having me be able to squat just 4 weeks post-op!! Body weight/banded exercises may not look like much to most but to me right now it means major progress 🤗 time to get these lil legs back 💪🏽
