  • Happy Sunday, friends 🤩
I’m super excited because I’m doing @thereadingrush this week, and it’s my first readathon! (Add me my username on there is just @yuki.reads) Good thing I have no big plans cuz this is going to take priority hahah. Also this stack is from a while ago, but it’s filled with books I saw here on Instagram and was really intrigued by.

  • I cannot put Castle of Water down! This book is like catnip for me. I loooooove it. And in true form it’ll be the first book in ages that I’ll have read cover to cover in a little over 24 hours. If I don’t finish it tonight, I’ll be a monkey’s uncle! What’s the last book that you absolutely COULDN’T put down and you ignored life in order to keep reading? It’s my mission in life to find books like that. (But isn’t that every reader’s goal??)

  • Aaaand finished. Thanks to @penguinrandomhouse for sending me a copy of this book. It was a wild ride and I finished it in about two days - faster than I’ve finished most books in the last several months. That’s the mark of a good thriller! And like I said yesterday - this one actually features a likable main character. I mean, why would I root for a main character I don’t like (am I a horrible person 🙈)?This was the first time I’ve read a book by Riley Sager; I own all three of his books but hadn’t yet read one until now. But @molliereads and I are interviewing Riley on @nothxwerebooked at the end of the month so I needed to be prepared! Watch out for the podcast episode - I’m so excited to talk to Riley about his book! Have you read this one yet?! Which of his books is your favorite so far? I’d love to know which I should read next!

➡ ŁOWCA to trzeci tom serii Zapomniana Księga.

  • Few books cover's make you feel in love with the book, this book was certainly one. It bought fragrance with it.
Priding in being a practical person, 'following logic' always made more sense to Mehrun, than 'falling for emotions'. It entertained her to be just a casual spectator to one's life and to the life of her friends who were forever diving into complications of romantic relationships which Mehrun found to be irrational and often funny. At least it was until she met Aarush. But years later, what he means to her is still incomprehensible. She is moving to another country and in this moment of her dilemma, she wants to reach out to him. Mehrun's choices will impact the direction of their lives, just like it had done once in the past. What impact will it make ? Will mehrun overcome it?
Quickly grab this book to know more.
💥💥💥💥💥💥 Few insights about the book which I liked-
1) The Poem "The Chariot" written in page 40 is beautiful.
2) The lines in pg- 87-
"Helpless yet appearing strong,
Smiling through tears feels wrong,
Shattered pieces refuse to bind,
Coz those lost pieces I'Il never find
Each time a lie felt like truth
And I got lost in illusions created by you".
3) There are 5 stages of grief- denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. The stages begin after you have stopped crying because till then, everything is a haze. (PG - 188).
I could connect with the book because I have lived in many cities mentioned in the book such as Bhilai, Indore & Nagpur.
💥💥💥💥
The writing is simple and easy to understand. The Narration is crisp and clear.
The story is not dragged, which makes it a easy read.

Ananya which means unique embarks his spiritual journey when he steps inside the gates of one of the most prestigious colleges of India St. Stephen's College at Delhi. He is a happy go lucky person who instantly forms a bond of friendship with Kanika and Akshay. Ananya is a scholar of his class and is very much satisfied with his life when the entry of Anushree brings a rage of emotions in his life. She left his life as quickly as she had entered it leaving Ananya in a shock that he is not able to cope up with. It is then that his sight trips over a book that changes his life completely. He proceeds towards a path that has no turning back. What will be Ananya's future? Will he succeed in changing the laws of nature? .
.
🌈The language of the book is a bit tough in some parts where the mechanisms are involved, so much so that even after re-reading you can't decipher it properly.
🌈The story at times becomes monotonous and boring. It seems as if words have been woven unnecessarily to make it lengthy.
🌈The narration is average.
🌈The cover of the book could be more interesting. I think it has many colours still it lacks some vibrance.
🌈The title of the book is appropriate as it is around 'The perfect drug' that the story revolves and decides the future of Ananya.
🌈I think this is not the book for one day read. Because it's lengthy and it has features that need to seep into you so that it's essence could be formed.
🌈I read it very slowly and took my own time to read it, still I was not happy with the result.
🌈I like how our consciousness has been shown to be a stream of white light splitting into the seven colours of a rainbow at our seven Chakras.

Thank you @chaitanya424 for giving me this book.

A historical thriller set in 403 C.E. India. I didn't expect it to be a murder mystery even the first quarter of the book didn't give any sign to that but as the plot developed, it became a gripping story involving a mysterious family and a royal family. I guess the description and character developments were pretty good and interesting. Though there were many characters involved, it didn't confuse the plot. Even the writing style was really good. .
But there were three things that didn't sit with me well. 1. The mentioning and emphasizing the well known historical character named Kalidasa to be the centre of the story by the author in the beginning. But his appearance was only few times throughout the book and he didn't do anything much as he appeared to be at first which was disappointing. 2. The title of the book. It says 'the curse of Anuganga' but even the name Anuganga was only mentioned once or twice and I don't know why the plot has anything to do with the title. 3. I loved how it was descriptive but also I find it too lengthy and boring at times. It would have been better with some more editing and cutting down some unwanted descriptions.
.
Apart from these three points, I really enjoyed the book. As I mentioned earlier, it was gripping. So I couldn't put it down for any longer and finished it in two sittings. .

So I couldn't put it down for any longer and finished it in two sittings. .

Thank you so much @kitabikeedaofficial and @rooprashi for sending me the book . I am so sorry for being so late , for providing the Review. .
.
Coming to the story , •The book cover is quite relatable with the story . Even the title is good . •The Narration of the book throughout was good , with no rush in it's pace . • The two charecters were properly developed by the author . Even the other charecters played an important role in building the two main protagonist of the story . • Though I don't love romance genre or love stories that much , but my sister loved it . So I can say its a good book , for those who love to read this genre books . • It's a light read , it took me around 3-4 hours to complete the book . • The Language of the book is simple and easy . • The fact that kept my interest in this book throughout all the time was the fact , that the book had parts about mountaineering and trekking and I love this two the most . .
.
.
In an overall the book is good , and those who love to read love stories , romance genre with little twists , will love this book absolutely . So check the book today . .
