“Rust” V13 | First Ascent 🏗 Really cool knowing that stunners like this one are still out there waiting to be climbed, you just gotta be willing to look! Craziest thing about this line is that it sits in the most popular bouldering area in the southeast, Stone Fort🤯It’s been there this whole time, right off the beaten path and no one even knew it.. This thing is short but packs a punch! A definite must do for anyone seeking a step up in difficulty compared to area classics like “The Shield”🛡Big thanks to @bigtwig23 for showing me this thing! Excited to see more people to try it soon #climbing#rockclimbing#bouldering#firstascent#b2forge#twigparadeproj@tensionclimbing@asanaclimbing@frictionlabs
More early morning gains 💪💪
This used to be a long term project until @orrincoley turned up at @vauxwall and smashed it in a few tries 🤯
Over a year later, I’ve finally dragged myself up it too 😂
An absolute JOY training with the @catalyst_creatures team this weekend 🤩
This bunch absolutely CRUSHES!! Constantly psyched to try hard; I get to see some pretty mind blowing moves in every session! Training them is one of the highlights of my week 🙏
Special shout out to the KING of physio @cristianocosta11 for assessing the team and giving them each specific exercises to improve weak areas and niggling injuries; this man is truly the best in the business! 🙏 #seeaphysiobeforeyouneedone
A HUGE thank you to the other @catalystclimbing coaches who train the team with me; @imiclimbing (winner of the most recent round of @blokfestuk 🔥) @aidan.roberts98 (GB Team beast and Crimping Guru 🙌), @paraclimberlea (GB Paraclimbing team and current Masters World champ 💪) and @gil.leviten (basically a really friendly gorilla 🦍 😂)

Well, short story about Off the wagon sit. When I came on the first day and saw a boulder (stand), I thought it was quite real for flash. Flash failed but I got through the original start on the second go and it felt easy. I immediately started work on a sit start and was really close to complete it in first day. The boulder turned out to be very cruel. Next couple of sessions were worse. There were many reasons - I felt tired, sometimes I did not have enough skin, sometimes the weather conditions were not good. I was sure that I would climb this boulder quickly, but in the end I came there 8 times, but remained without victory. I did stand start around 20 times and I fell 35 times with a long move when I climbed from bottom. I'm really tired this month.
The most important thing that I understood on this trip is that you can climb many hard problems, but to focus on extremely hard, you need to come and climb only it.
This is a great reason to come back again.
"I think one of the highlights of Moe’s is all the unique movement the rock has to offer. No two problems are quite the same .... you have finicky Indolence and power throws like Spectro, and then we have a combo in problems like the ✅ Swan 🦢.... the climbing is so enjoyable! I’ve chosen to stay a few days longer because I haven’t hit everything on my list to try. I’ve sent so much.... actually surprised myself, but desperately need a rest day before I get back out there"
Throwback to some of my favorite lines from my last full video “Wall Run.” It’s been over a year since that project and I’m finally almost done editing a new video. I did something pretty fun (i.e different) with @christian.whitworth and @sasha.hordiychuk and it’ll be releasing soon!
You can watch “Wall Run” in full through the link in my bio!

FRESH SET: SLAB ISLAND.
Come down & have a play 😎👊
The training protocols tests just started!
The last 10 days were about evaluate📈 the athletes, now let them train... 💪
We'll see what the results bring after a full cycle! One sure thing: the evolutions will be quantified 😉 #smartboardclimbing#trainsmarterclimbharder

I suck at slopers so i was happy to send this V5 😁
It’s safe to say climbing (bouldering) has opened up a whole new world to me.
Bouldering is essentially a culmination of mobility (hips & shoulders especially), strength (fingers, back, arms & forearms mostly), problem solving and most importantly power to weight ratio! Watching a good climber is such a beautiful art, the movement is so graceful and efficient.
Climbings also incredibly social! I met so many great people today that were so keen to help! I also keep hearing a lot that most of these people don’t like the gym but they absolutely love climbing so if you’re not a fan of the gym and want to start exercising this could be a powerful tool for you and I hope I can inspire you and open your mind to climbing! .
I also failed this climb, it’d be too easy to share one that I passed easily but I think it’s important to share your failures too not everything’s perfect in life as it so often appears on social media. .
There’s just a few thoughts from me today that I wanted to share and put out there! 🧗♂️ .
🌎The Climbing fame continues! What used to be a fringe sport occurring in poorly lit gyms is now an absolute sensation! We’re psyched to see where this goes! 🪐Check out @alexhonnold crushing on @egripsholds shapes by @rfspence and @shapedbyfoose ! Also notable are some @kiltergrips holds in the picture!
YAYYY! After around 50 attempts or so I finally got it! 😭 This problem was a test of endurance, power, and resting at the right moments. Graded a solid v7 and probably my hardest send to this day (in terms of movement). Each move was a struggle to figure out and thanks @chalk_a_holic for the tips to get me through!

We've had a big area reset today! The slabs and logo wall have had a major reshuffle by @thomas.hirons and Ben Turner with grades ranging from VB-8. Plenty for everyone to have a go at 👌
The fear is REAL. I got up to the top and didn’t have quite enough reach to get my fingers in a good spot, so I bailed on my first attempt of this boulder.
I had to remind myself to breath as I came down, I could feel myself shaking and sweating. I felt surprisingly strong for most of the climb, so I really wanted to finish it.
I took a short break and re-read the route, and noticed I had more feet available to me that I had seen while I was on the wall. I got just as scared the second time around, knowing I had some solid feet helped me to re-position and get the send the second time around.
I don’t necessarily want the fear to go away, I just want to be able to work with it more effectively. Fear can keep you safe, but it can also keep you stuck. I’m working on finding that solid balance.
Holyyyy this dyno was SO fun! It felt like half coordination, half dyno. We tried so many failed betas 🤦♂️ The little toe slide up the wall felt like cheating, but I was tired so I'm going to do whatever i want 😛
Rock tour de karma
Première compétition en escalade.
