I finally took photos of this sweater after finishing it like three weeks ago! It took me two months but I am so happy with the finished product. I never thought I would have the patience to make a #boxysweater but my friend @colorfuleclectic dyed this beautiful yarn that I knew would make a perfect early fall sweater. Thanks to her I’m ready for all the cozy, crisp mornings! 🍂

Top-down sweaters are my favorite. Not just cause of the awesome underboob shots! Though that is a quality feature. But I also love getting to test the fit so much from the get-go.
But I recently cast on a #boxysweater by @jojilocat, which is worked from the bottom up. First bottom-up sweater I've done in years actually. But luckily it will be a smooth and relaxing winter knit. Miles and miles of stockinette !

It’s Day One of my self-imposed #DecemberOfSweaters ! In case you missed it, I plan to wear a different sweater from my handmade wardrobe every day this month, and document it here. Let me know if you have more questions about the pattern/yarn in the comments or in my Stories!
Info: Boxy Sweater by @jojilocat in @madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light in “rainwater.” Ravelry project name “MadMay Boxy”
Made: May 1, 2013 - May 26, 2013
Size & Mods: XS, seamed version, with slightly less ease (28 less stitches for the body and a slightly tighter gauge). Made sleeves shorter. This was all due to having only 3 skeins of yarn (that was all that was in stock at @stevenbestudios)
What I love: I wear this a lot and I get so many compliments - it’s so comfy and flattering. The yarn has held up quite well, with just a little pilling that doesn’t bother me.
What I'd change: I wish the sleeves were a couple inches longer.
Extra thoughts: I knit this as part of the Mad May challenge (knit something with Madelinetosh yarn during the month of May) and most of it was knit in Hawaii while I was there for a conference. It was a great travel project!

Feeling like a million bucks today in my finished #boxysweater 😁💗💕 I bound off, wove in the ends and blocked it last night.. and I'm really loving the fit, the fabric and the speckles 🖤 this sweater took me forever to finish but I'm sooo glad I pushed through to complete it!! 😍 now on to the next project!
Pattern: Boxy sweater by @jojilocat

How are you chilling this Sunday?
It’s very hot here! Everyone’s taking a nap and I was alone knitting on the couch... when I suddenly realized that I am about to finish a new design 🖤
I’ve been so focused on finishing writing jobs and books and photos that I didn’t pay attention to how my knitting was growing too.
This is a poncho style boxy pullover worked in @woolfolk_yarn Luft. And one day I’ll write it up! #newdesign#jojilocatelli#woolfolk#knitting#knitter#blacksweater#boxysweater

My current project. Miles and miles of stockinette for a #boxysweater using Rey from madtosh. If you look closely, there’s little flecks of orange, pink, blue, and yellow, but next project I need COLOUR! #hhfaprilgiveaway

Knitting fiends! Confession: I have never measured my gauge with my knitting. It hasn’t mattered because I’ve mainly knit shawls but now that I am starting my first sweater it’s necessary. So...I’m working in my swatch per the instructions in the pattern ( #boxysweater by @jojilocat ) and the swatch seems tiny. Is this normal? I know I need to block.
