  • Hi hi hi! Some important news and slight change of plan! (Featuring doodles of our signature scent!) I will be closing up the online shop on Wednesday, the 18th at midnight. It will reopen on the 1st of the year.

This will give us time to restock, set intentions for 2020, and prepare for a very exciting launch on the 1st. It’s been amazingly fun this first big holiday season for us, but as you can imagine, the pace and stress have taken a bit of a toll on my health. I’m happy and I’m tired simultaneously. I need to slow down orders for a short amount of time so I can spend good time with family, maybe take some bubble baths, draw new stuff, and recuperate.

Always a little scary taking a break - because I can only hope that you’ll be back when orders open again! Haha!

My little family is SO thankful for your support this holiday season and I hope you have some time to rest and recover as well!
I will be hitting the ground RUNNING with a really big product release on the 1st - AND a planner restock for you!

I really have a good feeling about 2020 and a lot of ideas I’m working on a game plan to implement. The goal is just to bring joy into your life with the products I produce - so I’m gonna do it even harder next year! Woo!

Ketika saya diminta oleh @adelina.tampubolon untuk merancang logo @alona.cloth sebuah usaha yang ia dibangun bersama @niksukacita saya terus berpikir untuk merancang sebuah konsep logo yang bisa membangun sebuah identitas yang kuat, walau begitu, tetap feminim; seketika saya mengingat era Victoria, periode panjang kejayaan dan damai Inggris Raya dibawah pemerintah Ratu Victoria, ditahun 1837.⁣

Tentu saja saya tidak bisa merancang tipografi yang bold, karena bold akan memberikan kesan maskulin. Saya juga tidak bisa merancang tipografi skrip, karena itu hanya akan memberikan kesan feminim. ⁣
⁣
Wanita kuat, itulah konsep yang terus saya pikirkan dalam merancang logo, Alona. Yang membuat saya terus berpikir, bagaimana mencampurkan identitas feminim, juga maskulin untuk sebuah logo. Tidak terlalu begini, juga tidak terlalu begitu. Kedua unsur feminim dan kuat, khas maskulin, harus terpancar untuk identitas Alona.⁣

Untuk warna, saya memilih warna teal. Inilah campuran hijau yang kebiru-biruan; biru yang kehijau-hijauan, seperti birunya laut. Refleksi dari birunya langit, bercampur hijaunya karang, juga tumbuhan disepanjang lautan. Campuran hijau dan biru ini menjadikan identitas Alona, tetap ditengah deburan ombak dan angin yang berhembus kencang, juga sepoi-sepoi. ⁣
