  • Merciiii Mr Poilâne d’avoir créé ce bijou de pain. 
Toujours le même plaisir de retourner à Paris ou RP pour me permettre de beurrer une tartine généreuse en noix, ultra fine, goûteuse avec ce goût si caractéristique des pains Poilâne. Peu importe le prix, la qualité a un prix, on l’oublie souvent ! Qui a dit que ce qui est rare est cher, rares sont les pains trouvés dans des boulangeries, ds des grandes surfaces, avec ce goût, cette qualité et cette générosité ? 
Regardez les ingrédients : tout est naturel, aucun additif, aucun conservateur, pas de levure !

  • This morning I trialled a poppadom-inspired #toast creation. Started with a base layer of avocado and added a generous helping of lime pickle and garnished with mango chutney and basil. Alas, not the delicious treat I had hoped for; far too heavy handed on the pickle and therefore extremely limey. Left little room for the other flavours to have their say, and left my mouth on fire for several long minutes. Do not recommend. Delicious malted loaf base though - 2/10.

  • I just made Infused Honey with local Raw Seattle Honey, Saffron, Rose Petals, and Whole Pink Peppercorns. This recipe, and so many more that I will be making is from a wonderful cookbook called “Toast and Jam”......by our beloved Sara Owens, Author of #sourdough 
The recipes in this book blow my mind. This will be a book that will get used constantly in my home. I like making up my own recipes, changing other folk’s recipes...however, her recipes are so imaginative, and beautifully put together that there is no need to change a thing. It is described as, “Modern Recipes for Rustic Baked Goods And Sweet Savory Bread.” I’m making another one of her infused honey recipe when I finish making my bread. 😀 Cheers to Sarah Owens...Amazing on so many levels, especially those of us in the Sourdough world. 🌾🙏🏼🌾 Be yourself, enjoy your loved ones, laugh, dance, and enjoy slow food with passion.

Depuis mai j'ai réussi à faire quelques reportages auprès des producteurs du magasin court circuit. C'est le magasin paysan local où je partage/conçois bénévolement des recettes.

Aujourd'hui encore je me souviens de ma rencontre avec Thomas, paysan boulanger. Ce fut enrichissant sur le plan de l'humain, de la notion de sens de vie, de l'engagement. Une vrai personne "inspirante" si l'on peut encore utiliser ce terme.
