  • This felt fitting to post on hump day. Let's talk Breasts. 💕🌈🌸

.
When I was younger (and aggressively trying to "fit" in as a guy), I was a bit chubby and had "man boobs". Even when I got into ridiculously good shape, I still had some extra fat on my chest.
.
Because I tried so hard to be "normal" back then, my "boobs" gave me quite a bit of dysphoria. Because of that, I used to wear layers of clothing and at times "bind" to try and hide them. From a Former-Cis guy to a Trans guy, you're definitely not alone with chest dysphoria. (Also, I'm not assuming I understand the struggles of a trans guy, just that I can somewhat relate on that one factor).
.
Fast forward to today, people often ask about my breast growth and my "secret". While, yes, I've seen fairly decent growth on HRT, my secret is that I had a bit of head start. And my feelings towards my breasts is phenomenal!
.
It's such an unique experience to turn something considered to be a weakness into a strength. 💕🌈🌸
.
•
.
(Side note: would it be 'a' or 'an' in front of "unique"? I literally went back and forth for ten minutes on that.)
.
•
.
Also, I'm totally reusing a bunch of photos from Sunday's Q&A. 🤷🏼‍♀️

  • 💖 Breast Cancer Awareness 💖
Breast cancer hits close to home having lost my closest female members, so important to be aware of your body and any signs of changes as we all know. It’s also important to be aware of how you’re feeling emotionally and mentally as too much stress can in time harm the physical. Take a time for you, calm your mind and remind yourself of how well you’re doing everyday and how far you’ve come. There’s no substitute for health 🧘🏻‍♀️💅🏼✨

I did it, I finished inktober, learned so much from this and most important was facing my fears. I was aleays afraid of drawing boobs because I couldn't make them "appealing" in my perspective. Thank you so much for your support and appretiation of the stupid and ridiculous things I make. And special thanks to @brianabrazen for being an absolute queen, these drawings are because of you. Thank you so much for your help!!!

  • PLEASE READ 💕🤕 Yes this is a month dedicated to breast cancer awareness and it’s covered with pretty pink pictures, but they only work if people read the captions & take in what they are saying! .
.
Of course it is important to check your boobs and make sure that you are aware of what is normal for you, but what happens if you do find something that doesn’t feel normal? .
.
The first thing is not to panic, and the second thing is not to ignore it. Getting it checked out is much less scary than you may think, & certainly much less scary than leaving it to do it’s thing! .
.
🍒 Book yourself an appointment with your GP. They should have another, thorough check of your boobs but if you feel that they have missed bits do not be afraid to tell them and show them what you feel. .
.
🍒 If they think they need to they will refer you to the nearest hospital and it usually takes no longer than 2 weeks to get an appointment with a breast specialist. .
.
🍒 They will also have another check and either explain to you what they believe it to be, or if they think it necessary send you off to have an ultrasound so they can have a closer look. .
.
🍒 If after the scan they want to check it out further they may decide to do a biopsy. Don’t panic, it doesn’t mean it’s definitely cancerous, benign tumours can look suspicious on an ultrasound so it’s better that they are absolutely sure before sending you home. They will numb the area before taking the biopsies so don’t worry. .
.
🍒 Then you wait for around 2 weeks for the results and you’ll have an appointment booked in to go through the results with a doctor. .
.
At any point in that process you feel the doctors have missed something or are brushing a symptom off that you really feel is unusual for you, please remember that you have every right to stand up for yourself & keep pushing for a scan or a test. If I hadn’t have pushed for a biopsy, I would have been sent home for the second time and who knows what would be the case 7 years later! I have had two separate diagnosis’, 2 surgeries and I’m now one of the lucky ones. I want more people to be lucky ones! Early detection is key! Let’s be proactive 🙌🏼

  • I thought it was breast feeding awareness MONTH, not week so yeah I’m about 2 weeks late to giving my high 5 to one of the most normal, natural, flipping awesome, beautiful and bonding parts of having a baby....
I hated it to begin with though, the size of my boobs intimidated soccer balls, all my tops were stained with leaking milk and nothing fit me, it felt anything but natural. I had made a promise, however, to give my babies boob milk for their first 3 months. As I struggled on morning, noon and night something started to shift. I began to look forward to it, I got use to it, it started to all happen “naturally”. I loved it.. it’s a calm moment for you and your baby, it’s a beautiful bonding moment not only with them but also with other mom friends. I have two friends whom had babies at the same time as me and we called it “ the Boob cafe” whenever we were all together. I made some good friends over breast feeding, I got to sit down and really talk with them. Other times though, when at work, it was a pain in the ass 20 minute pump some where hidden. Some offices now have given their employees pump rooms, I shot at @jcrew offices and had the luxury of sitting in a private comfortable pump room alone but most other times I was hiding in a bathroom hoping there wasn’t a line of people trying to use it. Those early months are so precious for the growth of all our babies, we all know how important breast milk is for them. So doesn’t it make sense to make feeding them easy and comfortable and stigma free for their moms, most of whom either have to or want to work as well?
After breast feeding two babies for 18 months each, my boobs sadly no longer resemble the one in the drawing, actually if I’m really honest they never did! Anyways vive le boobs and all their magical powers #boobs #breastfeeding #pump #breasts #baby #exhausted #friends #boobcafe #milk #leak #tbt #bonding #love #mother #child #charcoal #ink #illustration #art #artist

  • Cancertalk - Das Leben mit Silikonbrüsten.
#
#
"Kosmetische OP":
#
Also keine Super-Gratis-Möpse.

  • B O Y S || There are lots of them. Surrounded by them, All. Day. Long. But I wouldn’t change it.
.
We had photos taken last week by the lovely and talented Elizabeth Barnwell. I met Elizabeth about a year before my wedding to Brian. A highly sought after photographer I’d been referred to (who was already booked for our date) recommended Elizabeth and said to me if she had to hire someone, this is the photographer she’d hire. Done. And Elizabeth didn’t disappoint. And she’s seen us about every four years for an amazing, high quality, natural light shoot ever since. Her images of my boys are some of my favorite images ever captured. She’s magical with the camera!
.
Today I share a happy image. We laughed real laughs. We had the lizard with us. Rory was mad the whole time. We were distracted and chaotic because we always are. But we were us and that’s what you see - beauty in all of what I sometimes feel is a crazy mess.
.
Tomorrow I begin the next leg of my cancer journey: Chemotherapy. I’ll try to laugh. I’ll think about my boys and how I need to get through this for them. I’m sure I’ll be distracted and chaotic, because I always am. But I’m determined to fine beauty in this crazy mess, because I love these boys too much to have anything else but more memories made with them.

  • Last month was one of the scariest, yet eye opening months in my entire life. For the second time in two years, I was going for a mammogram for a lump in my left breast that grew larger than a golf ball. The courage it takes for any person to go get check ups, let alone when you notice your body has changed, is indescribable! I cried soooo much.. out of fear, frustration, ignorance & disbelief. My Grandmother passed from cancer in 2008 so of course my thoughts were endless! I reached out to some of my prayer warriors, worship leaders, family and close friends to ask for their prayers and good energy! At the end of it all, I was cancer free & they were able to drain what was just a cyst. I am truly blessed and not everyone’s story will be the same but I encourage you all to KNOW your body! Do what it takes to OWN your body. Check your breast/ chest for lumps daily & never ever give up hope. If anyone is afraid to take the journey, I will be glad to walk with you! To anyone battling cancer, I honor you! Keep up the fight & Keep up the faith! 💕👊🏽😉 #BreastCancerAwarenes #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth #FaithWalk #Testimony #Boobies #Breasts #Titties #FreeTheBoobs #LoveYourBoobs #fckcancer #cancersucks #wegotthis #faithoverfear
