  • Two days late, but I couldn’t not say it! A whole DECADE spent with this man @anistey 💙 Holy 🐮... ready for all the years to come filled with dance breaks in the kitchen while cooking dinner, exploring new pockets of the world, endless puppy cuddles, and everything in between. Cue “Turn Down For What” 🎶

  • Have been doing research on Scottish wedding traditions and found some fun facts to share with all of you:
.
1. Men wear kilts (not skirts): I learned first hand that you never tell a Scottish man that he’s wearing a ‘nice skirt’. Apparently, the difference between a kilt and a skirt in Scotland is that underwear is never worn under a kilt, the Scottish men I have met at a wedding last year were more than happy to prove that to you (especially after a few drinks oops!)
.
2. You better like bagpipes: pipers play before and after the ceremony and they pipe the newly married couple into the reception, it is a tradition for the bride to offer the piper a drink once they have made it to their seats to thank the piper. I self-taught myself how to play bagpipe last year, it was loud and a great fun at the same time haha (don’t ask me to demonstrate thanks)
.
3. Ceilidh/ Reels are crazy fun: Ceilidh is a traditional Scottish folk dance, a mix of line dancing, square dancing, and highland dancing. Ladies, be prepared to be flung around the dance floor by a Scottish dance partner lol. Don’t worry about looking foolish tho, everyone (including me!) on that day will be too busy trying to master the steps, let’s dance and have fun!
