  • For those of you who are not familiar with the word Sativa, it is a Cannabis species that is more of a brain stimulant. It usually gives patients a boost of energy and creativity so this image depicts the effect perfectly. You can see Mrs. Smith in the front, has been suffering from Fibromyalgia, depression and insomnia for the past 3 years. Treated with conventional medicine, takes 3-4 different meds and still she feels pain, depressed and doesn’t not want to get of bed. 3 weeks after starting her treatment, wakes up, takes 10ml of Cannabis Sativa oil, feels relief, feels better and gets things done and at night some indica oil for sleeping. In the background is her husband, Mr Smith. Had a bad car accident several years ago that left him with several herniated disc, chronic pain and muscle spasms. Had surgery but became and addict to opioids. Started using Medical Cannabis in the form of vaporized concentrate Cannabis Sativa oil in the day and oral Cannabis Indica at night. Stopped taking his opioids and feels so good that he is even washing the car. And then they question if Cannabis is real medicine. 📸 from @newyorkcannabistimes #newyorkcannabistimes #sativa #cannabissativa #energyboost #marijuana #medicalmarijuana #cannabis #medicalcannabis #mmj #mmjpatient #mmjcard #buddocs #buddoc #buddoctor #florida #centralflorida #orlando #lakemary

  • @Regran_ed from @buddocs - Thanks to @curaleaf.fl for the 📷 . The entourage effect is a proposed mechanism by which compounds present in cannabis which are largely non-psychoactive by themselves modulate the overall psychoactive effects of the plant (these resulting principally from the action of the main psychoactive component of cannabis, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)). Cannabidiol (CBD) is believed to be the major modulatory component of cannabis, mitigating some of the negative, psychosis-like effects of THC, and is included in some medicinal formulations alongside THC. CBD co-administration also reduces the negative effects of THC on memory.Myrcene, which is recognized as a sedative component in hops, may be responsible for the sedative effects ("couch lock") of certain cannabis strains (sedative effects are commonly ascribed to the indica cannabis type). Linalool may also contribute to the entourage effect, modulating the glutamate and GABA neurotransmitter systems to produce sedative and anxiolytic effects.

Though the idea of the entourage effect has taken root in the cannabis industry and among consumers, the concept is often based on conjecture and anecdotal evidence as rigorous scientific underpinning is lacking. #entourageeffect #cannabis #educateyourself #medicalcannabis #buddoc #buddocs #buddoctor #housecalls #wegotoyou #mmjcard #mmj #cannabis #medicalcannabis #marijuana #medicalmarijuana #florida #statewiderecommendations #quick #easy #confidential #cannabisoverprescriptions - #regrann
