Why do people think doing "cardio" is the only way or best way to lose weight?.. I use to think this. I use run, jog and walk on a treadmill for 20-60 mins a day trying to rake up "calories burned" from a stupid machine that really had no clue on how much calories I was burning.
Truth is the only way to lose weight is a Caloric deficit.
Yes "cardio" burns calories.. Just like any other form of physical activity. But unless you're in a Caloric deficit then you can run your arse for miles and see bugger all progress.
I haven't stepped foot on a treadmill in over 9 months and am at my lightest bodyweight ever (off-keto). Not by running, rowing or peddling a bike but weightlifting, high levels of NEAT and being mindful of calories.
Can the "you must do cardio" or "exercise fast" to burn calories faster bullshit please cease. The only exercise that burns calories long term is the one you enjoy long term...
For me that's weightlifting because more muscle = more fat burn and I wanna be stronger 💪
Also, I dare a motherfucker to call me unfit again, I bet you can't do half the shit I do and I aint need your damn machines 😂🖕
