One thing you guys probably know about me already is that I have the BIGGEST sweet tooth ever 🙊 Luckily I love to bake, and I love making healthier versions of my favourite treats! Here I bring you nutella protein muffins 🤤
👇🏻 RECIPE 👇🏻
2 x cups rolled oats
1 x scoop @happywayau chocolate protein powder
3 x tbsp @happywayau cacao powder
1 x tsp baking powder
2 x eggs
2 x tbsp coconut oil
2 x tbsp nuttvia hazelnut spread (you can also use this as the icing 🙊)
Dash of almond milk
Handful of dark chocolate chips
1. Blend rolled oats into a flour consistency, and add all dry ingredients into a bowl.
2. Add in the eggs and whisk.
3. Melt coconut oil with the nuttvia (I buy this from Coles by the way!).
4. Combine wet ingredients with the dry ingredients. Continue to add dashes of milk until it becomes a cake like consistency.
5. Begin folding in the dark chocolate chips until smooth.
6. Bake at 180 degrees for roughly 15 minutes or until cooked through. This recipe makes 6 muffins!
7. PS: protein powder does tend to make muffins quite dry so this is optional if you prefer more moist muffins 😂

Back with another corrective video, in this shot we are visiting the strict pull up exercise. Let me know if you like this style of corrective format as I know that visual aids may explain some corrections better.
There is a lot going wrong on left and its actually one of most common mistakes that I see when individuals are performing the exercise. The scapula is not locked down and retracted, also we are using a lot of the shoulders to get our weight up on the rep. There's forced reps of getting the chin over the bar which is not necessary as well, and last but not least (this is not CrossFit) there's the momentum swinging to get ourselves up on the rep.
When permforming a strict pull up, we want to retract the scapula and have it pushed down, this takes away using the shoulders and the arms a bit whenever performing a strict pull up. By locking the scapula down you are also protecting the shoulders from impingement and also shoulder joint pain.

This has cracked me up for years.
Ladies and gentlemen listen up - you aren’t at risk of building ‘too much muscle’, which is ultimately what you’re scared of by not lifting.
It’s like starting a business and saying ‘oop I don’t want to be a millionaire though’ or making a sandwich and thinking you’re gonna wake up Gordon Ramsay.
This shit takes a lot of hard work and time.
You get to decide, that’s the beauty of it.
But in short - strength training is the real fountain of youth, and I recommend everyone do it in some shape or form.
If you’re trying to lose fat you’ll want to strength train to maintain (and even build) your muscles so you have good shape as your fat comes down.
More than anything being strong is so damn empowering and I urge you to venture into the weights section if you haven’t yet.
