How many of you moms are “stay at home moms” that still find time to make money on the side? Babysitting, selling products, bookkeeping, school yard duties? I now have 2 side jobs and are managing to keep all balls in the air (So far so good) Good for you! Keep up the good work, moms can seriously do it all that’s for sure! How do you make money on the side, share with us so others can get a good idea! #mom#momlife#workingmoms#money#sidejob#family#kids#budget#love#busy#crazylife

I had a contest to draw a fish with my brother and mine turned out this way 😆
With a larger than average family I feel like I spend half my time in the kitchen already just cooking and doing dishes from breakfast, lunch and dinner and allll the kids snacks (why didnt anyone tell me toddlers eat like hobbits?🙃) So if I get hungry when it isnt meal time, most times I just won't eat because making something just for myself just equals even more time in the kitchen...enter #FitShake from #youngevity 😍 scoop, add liquid, shake- so easy, delicious (this one tastes like a banana milkshake) and loaded with all kinds of good stuff like bone broth, protein, vitamins and minerals, probiotics, and digestive enzymes😍😍 so much better than starving until dinner because i'm lazy🤷
THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS! Less than 48 hours until my free online training! 😁😁😁 I'm SO READY to share some of my best tips for breaking out of the constant cycle of "busy" so we can all live our BEST lives! See you on Wednesday?
When my second child was born, there was a huge divide with my first born. We had always been so close; although I was warned of this, I never fully realised until it actually happened.
My time was 90% with a newborn, and tbh the other 5% was me trying carving out time to myself (😅) so I had a short window of time to quickly connect with my big kid.
And let’s be honest, life can get really busy these days, so finding ways to quickly reconnect is so important for everyone with kids.
So we created these games to have some fun and connect .... in a short window of time!
Imagine if is a game of wondrous magic. Basically we start with saying ‘IMAGINE IF...’ and anything goes.
The premise of the whole exercise is you take turns to ‘imagine’ something and it leads you down a trail of fun and magic.
‘Imagine if animals could talk! What would you ask them? What animal would you like to talk to first and why?’
‘Imagine if we could breathe underwater! Where would you go? What would you see?’
‘Imagine if we didn’t have to clean up and magical faeries did all the work!’
(Ok that one may have been mine 😂, but then we can talk about the importance of cleaning etc)
My big kid loves reminiscing and hearing stories about when she was a baby. I found that it really included her in the new baby’s life and gave context to a time in her life she did not remember. By sharing stories it makes her aware of how important a time it was for us as parents!
We share stories of her birth (age appropriate) funny stories of her growing up; her first food or first steps... any stories we remember. This shows her how important she was (and still is) to us and I find these stories even shift the heaviest of moods (aka tantrums or feelings of being left out).
I hope these help!
I know how busy life can get, but it is so important even with the busiest of lives that we find time and ways to CONNECT with our children.
I am almost caught up!!! Just in times to post January’s hours. 😂 I will try not to fall behind again. It looks like in December I worked about 3 fewer “days”than the typical 9-5 job. I’ll post the year through December soon.
Today, I learned one good thing about having a morning duty. When you’re at your duty, they can’t call you to ask you to cover for your colleagues when your district is subbed out due to #fluseason#SorryMatt#NotReally 😂
I still didn’t get my planning though. I watched the #AcademicTeam coach’s class for a few minutes so they could take pix for the newspaper. Then I had a meeting with the #AcademicAdvisor to create an online class for a student. Then I covered for my pumping colleague the last 20 minutes. #ohwell
District walkthrough #TeacherObservations were today. I had 2 teams of admin come in at the same time. It was really crowded. 😂 My students were presenting. That’s a great thing. That’s a required thing. But today they were analyzing our #questioningtechniques so all of mine will be N/A. And my data will be skewed and “look bad.” But I will not stop the #EducationalProcess going on in my classroom. It IS a process. I’m not going to fake something just to look good on my evaluation. #aintnobodygottimeforthat I used to do that, but at this point, I figure we’ve been together enough years, they know what I’m doing. 😊
Today I worked 9 hours and 38 minutes. #ateachersday#a_teachers_day#educate#school#busy#teachersarehuman#edchat

I am one of ‘those’ mums that loves having her kids at home and hates back to school time BUT this year I am looking forward to a couple of days ‘me time’ - just a couple 😜
These holidays have been crazy with packing, moving, painting and family surprises from Scotland and generally just trying to breathe.
This morning I applied Peace over my heart before my 5 min meditation and popped Elevation and Yellow Mandarin in the diffuser- a reminder to be joyful and make the most of this last week ❤️
