Rolling Hwy 1, aka the Cabrillo Hwy, northbound to Monterey, 9.2018. Only a few miles north of Hearst Castle.
Have been fortunate to drive this two lane road from Monterey to Los Angeles and back and then south again to LA 3 times in the 356. All within the past 3 years. Definitely a top five road I’ve driven the 356 in.
The abandoned Davenport Pier is a photographer’s dream. A bit eerie when no one is around, but not today. I have been here several times before, all during high tide. Today, I got lucky! I trekked my way down a treacherous vertical shale track. One bad move and I could be dead. Okay, I am exaggerating, but it is a dangerous route. Still, this didn’t keep people like me away. Imagine a Milky Way above the pier! And Imagine the setting sun as I sit on the chain swing in my flowy dress. With a click of a remote trigger, I would have a shot of my silhouette. The only thing is, after the sun has set, I won’t be able to see my way back the same path with my myopic eyes. So for now, let it be an imagination until I find a better route in and out. #davenportpier#cabrillohighway#scenicdrive#scenichighway1
So often people assumed we were a couple on our travels (well maybe only a couple of times) But when we tried to take coupley beach photos we just pissed ourselves and ended up crying with laughter. Poor Gary in Cambria asked me sweetly if our convertible had been romantic....I just replied "hmm not really" and again more laughter ensued. I do 💛 you though @ursulawhite10 😘
