  • THE STRENGTH OF THE FILIPINO PEOPLE.
we all know that filipinos have their own strength that we can be proud of and able to share it to other people.

1. Pakikipagkapwa-tao : Opening yourself to others and feel one with others with dignity and respect deal with them as fellow human beings.
- sense of fairness and justice
- concern for others
- ability to empathize with others
- helpfulness and generosity
- practice of hospitality
- sensitive to other feelings and trust

2.Family Orientation : a genuine and deep love for family.
- commitment and responsibility
- honor and respect
- generosity and sacrifice
- sense of trust and security

3.Joy and Humor : Filipinos have a cheerful and fun-loving approach to life and its up and down, pleasant disposition, a sense of humor and propensity for happiness that contribute not only to the Filipino charm but also to the Filipino Spirit. We laugh at those we love and hate. We tend to make joke about our good and even bad fortune, to smile even in the most trying of times.
- emotional balance and optimism
- healthy disrespect for power and office.

4.Hard Work and Industry : capacity for hard work given to raise one's standard living of a decent life for one's family.

5. Faith and Religiosity : Faith in God - accepting reality to comprehend as a human created by God. "Pampalakas-loob". that just a few of our many abilities when it comes to our own culture and country.

MEDITATION 💡
Although this is me just having some fun and embarrassing my kids in beautful @ntfountainsabbey in York and I don’t often meditate in the ‘perfect’ position, I am incredibly grateful for the power of meditation!

Years ago, in my ignorance, I remember thinking meditation was just for hippies and spiritual zen masters! I dismissed it as something too challenging to master, thinking if I couldn’t do it perfectly, what was the point. 
How wrong I was!
I was first introduced to meditation about five years ago by a beautiful friend and soul called Jacinta. She meditated with me using a guided visualisation and I promptly burst into tears at the end.
I was at a low point in my life at the time and my mind was chaotic, I felt lost and stressed out. I worried constantly and often felt resentful and irritable especially with my kids. 💫
I yearned to feel strong, confident and my biggest desire was to feel CALM and PEACEFUL!
I really struggled with meditation at first misunderstanding it, thinking it was about controlling my thoughts and yet when I let go of it being perfect and learnt some simple techniques to help me and what meditation really was and how it could help, I began to FEEL so many benefits.
The biggest benefit to me is Inner PEACE and CALMNESS!

Combined with powerful self discovery work, meditation has helped me respond with peace and calm to situations and people that in the past I would have reacted to with irritation, annoyance or frustration, including my kids, they truly are my biggest guidance as to whether I’m really feeling centred and can often push my buttons (I don’t always get it right!), yet I’m so grateful for persisting with meditating and making it part of my daily habits. 
It’s one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves, its an essential aspect of self discovery work and so much cheaper than my almost daily glass of wine I was resorting to at the time! 😂

I feel gratitude for this life changing practice which truly benefits us in so many ways.
