This is my first trip away from the baby. It's been great to have one on one time with my big girl but I miss my little nugget so much. This little one refused a bottle for the first 7 months of her life. This meant we were exclusively breastfeeding and she basically never left my side. As a working mom, this was definitely tough on me as I had to take her to every meeting, every photoshoot, every errand. I would even be nursing her while on conference calls! I could never leave her side for more than an hour (two hours was pushing it). The few times that we did, daddy had to deal with the most fussy, screaming, crying baby which in turn made me feel awful for leaving her. Now that she's taking the bottle, it's made my life so much easier and honestly, I'm happier, but I'm also grateful that we got to have that experience together. Edie now loves the bottle, loves to eat and is so happy when others help feed her too! 🍼
I know I'm not the only one, as I have gotten so many questions from those of you that have followed our journey on my stories about the bottle feeding issue. I do plan on writing a blog post about how we ended up getting Edie to take the bottle. When we were in the thick of it and I so desperately needed a solution, I googled and read every single article on how to get your baby to take a bottle. Most were geared towards newborns and for older babies they basically said "if they don't get it before 6 months, it won't happen" Well, I'm here to tell you that it CAN happen and this is from a baby that screamed at every single bottle and never took one sip out of a bottle until she was 7 months old! If you have any questions, comment below or DM me so I can make sure to cover it on my blog post! #theishgirls#theishhouse

“We found that one business model stood out from the rest. This particular business model creates passive income, but regulates relatively little cash investment to start up. It has very low overhead, and can be operated on a flexible part-time basis until it generates enough cash flow for the entrepreneur to transition out of his current full-time job. That business model is called network marketing...” Robert Kiyosaki, The Business of the 21st century.
And this right here is why I’m a raving fan of network marketing. 🙌🏼 And I’ll never understand why people over analyze it. 🤷🏻♀️ Use a service or product that works. Share the love by telling everyone and their Mama (just like you would if you just had the best food of your life 😋). Get rewarded with generous referral bonuses in return as a thank you for opening your mouth about your experience...from a few hundred bucks a month to six figures a year. 👏🏼
It’s a pretty genius business model if you ask me and I personally feel that everyone should get paid for providing a company with free advertising. Just sayin. 😉
He’s already giving me the “do we really have to go to the store?” look... swipe to see him when I said “we can go home!”
After having my son the idea of going to the store alone with a baby was always nerve wracking for me. Crying uncontrollably in public: no thanks. But ever since baby wearing with my @InfantinoBaby’s Carry On Multi-Pocket Carrier, both of us are completely content the entire time. Plus I have my hands totally free to shop (except when he decides to hold onto my fingers...)
If you’re a first time mom and timid about taking your baby out with you, I would definitely check out this carrier! You can find it online at Amazon, Walmart, or Target! #CarryOnWithMe#InfantinoBaby#ad
I’ve tried too many times today to come up with a meaningful caption, but much of my day is a stream of constant chatter and noisy play (and fighting of course) and I am finding it impossible on this particular day to organize my thoughts in the midst of the homey chaos. But goodness, I’ll take this kind of distractedness always, because it’s the sign my life is full of the biggest blessings I could have ever asked for.

What’s a little thing your children do that always makes you smile? For me, it’s when they stick their tongue out when intensely focusing on an activity. Both Charlie and Jude do it and I think it’s the sweetest thing ever. Then again, they’re my boys, so there goes objectivity 😜
The toys Jude is playing with (while I begged him not to actually give them a bath because wood and water don’t mix well) are from @clicques_toys - I love that they added diverse skin tones to their already amazing line of products. 👌🏻

Literally 2 minutes after taking this picture things did a 180. A massive thunderstorm blew in quicker than we thought it would - we quickly packed up & started to to leave. Within minutes we got stuck & I mean stuck stuck, haha. To top it all off, we were right underneath the storm with flash flooding warnings coming through our phones. Keeping little man inside the vehicle, Mark & I started digging in the torrential downpour. Help arrived a little later & 5 1/2 hours later (the time now 10 pm) we were free! *insert happy dance* 💃🏻 Despite being soaking wet, sand in places not appropriate to say, & exhausted - I’m thankful throughout the situation all of us kept joking, laughing, & having fun.

as a little girl, when I dreamed about being a mother someday, I didn’t think about the nights I wouldn’t sleep. Or the tears and the tantrums. I didn’t dream of feeling frustrated or yelling or giving out punishment. I didn’t imagine what it would feel like leaving my babies to go to work. Or that I would find myself comparing my own mothering to all these other moms who do just as great of a job, but in a different way. I never pictured how fleeting and fast the years would pass, yet how long some days and weeks would seem.
What did I picture? This. This is literally exactly what I dreamed of as a little girl. To be a mom, standing over the kitchen sink, a few baby bottles leftover from the day, starting dinner, music playing, diffuser running (ok maybe I didn’t picture the diffuser 🤣 but dang am I happy it’s a part of this picture), listening to the sounds of the monitor while one baby sleeps, the older two happily playing outside as I watch, a vase of ‘just because’ flowers on the windowsill from my husband....
My point is this. Not every day is perfect. In fact, there are very few perfect moments in our day to day. But a glimpse, a snapshot, a moment like this? THIS is perfect. THIS is motherhood. THIS is why you trudge through all that hard stuff I talked about up there. And you know what? When your little daughter dreams of one day becoming a mom herself (or your son a dad), I can promise you this too is the moment she’s going to picture. Not those other ones, not the ones where “mom messed up”. So give yourself grace. Allow yourself to appreciate and love yourself for all of those daily mundane tasks that you might feel are taken for granted. Because they aren’t. One day your kids will be grown, and they’ll remember the comfort of home, and moments like this. And I hope you will too ❤️ #ronanandever#hanlonfam2019
