  • EVERYTHING in my body was sore this morning 🙈 except my abs so I decided to take a COREDIO 🌟 class with @alleyfitnesslv & let me tell you EVERYTHING is sore NOW... I literally could not move for like 2 hours.. I was just laying down beside my bed. Lol 😝 
Am I telling you this just to brag about my workouts?? 👏🏼
No.. I’m telling you this because sometimes when we THINK we just CAN’T do it anymore whether it be working out, 🏋🏼‍♀️ starting up a new idea 💡 eating better 🍏 or creating a new habit 🤗
JUST when we THINK we’ve had enough...you MUST go just a LITTLE bit MORE for your breakthrough ⚡️ & then you BUILD the confidence for EVERYTHING else ⭐️ P.s. I finally got to stretching & feel ALOT better.. lol) 😆

  • Traveling much these days? It can take a toll on the entire body in turn make it feel a little cranky, right?! 👉Here is a little stretch series I added into my regimen coupled with the #pilates arc to open the hip flexors, stretch the hamstrings and massaged the hips with one of my favorite foam rollers (nice and firm!)❤️Now my body isn’t so cranky & feel a lot better mentally with just a little bit of movement.❤️ .

Sound familiar? I made this comparison photo because so many people see someone on social media that maybe they want to be like or look up to and think they’re so different from them. I know because I used to be one of this people.

We tell ourselves they’re so different but what we’re really doing is making excuses. If you see my posts on here and assume that I wake up everyday wanting to workout, you’re wrong. If you think that I walk around Instagram photo shoot ready, you’re wrong. If you think I have all the time to workout because that’s my job, you’re wrong. In fact, I have a full time, corporate sales job on top of running my training business so finding time to workout for myself is extremely difficult. See how different perception and reality can be?

My point is that I’m no different than you. I wear my fb boxers to bed, rock non marching lounge around the house clothes and have my dogs hanging all over me 24/7. I have to wake up and decide how bad I want it and so do you. Don’t make excuses for why it’s so much easier for someone else, because it’s really not. It’s time to stop putting so much effort into why you can reach your goals and put all that effort to proving that you WILL reach them. 🙌🏻🤗

  • Mega catfish to a push up. This is not a ‘look how strong I am’ moment. This is a ‘work in progress’ moment. My hips keep dropping here and I am working towards fixing that. I’m not perfect and still regaining core strength. (Video 2x speed, you know my 4 count 😏) 👚👖@Carbon38 ‘colleendal20’ can now be used twice!

  • hi, come real close, let’s talk about balancing energies & recharging real quick! I am immensely happy for the weekend to be here, I don’t even have any exciting plans, I’m just happy to go home, turn my phone on airplane mode & deprive myself of ALL the millions of sensory EVERYTHINGS that go off during the week that come with being constantly surrounded by humans that leave me beyond exhausted and absolutely drained by Friday. •

With age and just life changes in general, how I recharge has changed. I used to be able to run out to a happy hour and feel so energized by that but the idea of doing something like that now, on a Friday, sounds like hell on earth. It’s safe to say I’ve left camp extrovert and have been on team ambivert for some time now. •
•

There’s a huge misunderstanding of what introversion/ extroversion/ ambiversion actually is; people attribute these to someone’s personality traits but in fact it’s how we recharge. I’m still that outgoing, loud, talkative, overly friendly smiley chick with the big laugh that’s down for a good time (as long as there’s somewhere to sit down🙈) but on any given day, that may not be ideal to reenergize me. Some days I recharge best around others. Some days I prefer to be alone just journaling or sitting in the dark and quiet, like a serial killer lying in wait... please don’t judge me 😩🤣 •

One of the healthiest and best things we can do for ourselves is to be 110% protective of our energy and in tune with our rhythms. If you’re not up for something this weekend, don’t force yourself just to go & show your face if it’s not going to do a single thing for you. I mean FOMO is real but peace of mind is even realer. It’s absolutely okay to be selfish with your time and energy, especially on the weekends when free time is so scarce. Reenergize however you need to, guilt free and on your own terms. Phone going on airplane mode now.✨✌🏾

  • Traveling much these days? It can take a toll on the entire body in turn make it feel a little cranky, right?! 👉Here is a little stretch series I added into my regimen coupled with the #pilates arc to open the hip flexors, stretch the hamstrings and massaged the hips with one of my favorite foam rollers (nice and firm!)❤️Now my body isn’t so cranky & feel a lot better mentally with just a little bit of movement.❤️ .
