  • 275x2x4. Didn't hit the goal this week but I'm just happy I can even do this movement. Suffered a minor quad tear on Thursday but it's healing up quick and I think I'll be back to full bore pretty soon.

I'm not a fan of very tight elbow sleeves so instead, I use a thin neoprene sleeve with @cerberus_strength_usa cuffs along the elbow crease to give a little pop out the hole and take some pressure off the joint. Give it a shot. I use size 12. Code "Burkules" will save you 10% at checkout.

  • Want an all around absolute torturous exercise.... take a barbell with weights, put some heavish bands on it, add a high deficit, then do deadlifts but at snatch grip maintaining latt activation while trying to convince yourself that you’re not hating it🤘🇺🇸....

  • Yesterday Kadey @armilanegirl and I competed In Kentucky strongest man and woman what a great experience I have to say thank you to my wife for everything I think we are starting to get the hang of competing on the same day lol I had so much fun and was so proud of ya it’s so awesome to watch you and then turn around and see you watching me @arenachiropractic thank you I was so worried about this comp I backed out dropped to novice in hind sight I should have stayed in the open but regardless you all got more shoulder lined out you all are absolutely the best @anthony_kystrong so awesome to watch you crush a atw just one of many to come @emily_kystrong thank you for all you do for us you and Anthony are true ambassadors of the sport @ky_strongman thank you for such a great show experience and weekend love ya big guy so proud to be #kystrong

⁣2.5kg jumps are practically unnoticeable at this weight, so why not allow the body to work under greater load (it’s technically heavier 💁🏻‍♂️) & make the adaptations it needs to become comfortable under the load.⁣

  • Squats Week 5

Very much the morning after the day before! My middle upper back was very sore going in to this after stupidly doing an eccentric on a pb deadlift weight! Was sharing the rack with @chris.morganstrongman so had to act like it was easy when you see what he was doing, Chris, great training with you this morning chap;

3x2 210kg Squat 
3x8 157.5kg Squat 
4x12 leg press*
3x10 120kg weighted Glute bridges + 30 second pause last set. * 160kg, 200kg, 240kg & 280kg

Feel like I’m cheating on leg press as I’ve massively shortened the RoM. I was coming very deep but my hips/ lower back was tucking to allow it and essentially not beneficial and dangerous. 
The 30 second hold on the glute bridge was disgusting. Felt like my hamstrings wanted to cramp only 10 seconds in. Thanks @chris.morganstrongman for the time count on the hold. Appreciate it’s a weird one to watch 🤣. Got the job done.   • Last session of the week, hitting 110kg for a single on flat bench. Don’t have a video of my first time getting this back in March but definitely felt more solid under the bar and went up a lot quicker and smoothly - a common theme with all my heavy lifts this week showing @thorspowerprogram is definitely working! 💪🏻😁

  • 155kg Heavy paused squats completed, and I didn’t die🥳😂 Worked up to what turned out at be 155kg for a paused single, was meant to be 150kg but neither myself or Charlie seem to be able to do basic math😂
Had to get my other half to add up the weight for me on all my squats from the videos once I got home😂
Down sets of 130kg 3x3

With starting my new job @puregym_barnstaple recently and how amazingly busy it is there I was sure I’d lost a good 30kg off my squat, I’m a sod for mentally winding myself up lol
Turned out I was totally fine on squats today although could have done with a slightly bigger breakfast though as was a little light headed and getting hungry when warming up lol

Not long till the powerlifting qualifier now, and after today in still confident in increasing my comp lifts & total🏋🏻‍♀️ @cerberus_strength incredible wraps & belt, definitely my must haves for my squats🏋🏻‍♀️ TJ10 for 10% off yours🏋🏻‍♀️
