Walked snowdon last night/this morning with some great people from work for charity. It was tiring, windy and the sunrise was viewed from inside a cloud gradually get brighter, but it was actually fun! We managed to get some lovely views on the down too. To those of my mates that haven't donated to my sleep deprivation *a-hem* 😉

"The chalking of the doors", Cochem, Germany.
On the twelfth day of Christmas, Carol singers visit the homes of people in town, singing and reciting poetry for charity.
Before they leave, they "chalk the doors" of those who have donated to their cause.
The letters are an abbreviation of the Latin phrase, "Christus mansionem benedicat" / “May Christ bless the house.” The “*” represents the star of Bethlehem, the “+” signs represent the cross and the numbers at the beginning and end mark the year in question. Together, this inscription forms a request to Christ, asking that those who live there be blessed. How many days til Christmas? #chalkingofthedoors#chalk#blessing#carolsingers#carols#sternsinger#starsingers#twelfthdayofchristmas#christmas#charity#goodwill#starofbethlehem#cochem#germany

ENVIRONMENTAL CHARITY GIVEAWAY
I’ve been wanting to do some sort of giveaway since I hit 1K but wanted it to be more meaningful so I decided to do a sort of contest.
I will donate $100 (or more depending on how many likes this gets) to one of the following non profits of the winner’s choice in their name!
Maybe you would rather receive some of my favorite snacks and products (I might do that later too) but donating to a charity that does meaningful work always makes me feel better than any purchase (cheesy whatever) so I wanted to make it a community thing
- Follow me (@greencleanlivin)
- Like this post (I’ll donate $100 but for every 100 likes over 500 likes I’ll donate an additional $10 (up to a certain extent lol but I want this to get a lot of likes all these charities are amazing))
- Tag a friend (the more tags the more entries)
- Share this on your story for extra entries
- Ends Friday 8/23 at midnight
Utterly brilliant Saturday at the Superhero Tri. There was so much love, laughter and sportsmanship in amongst some fierce competition.
Thank you to the amazing Chloe, Tom and their families for joining ‘Team Awesome’.
Chloe bossed the swim leg, with her super sidekick Dad who masqueraded as Black Panther! Menna and I pedalled furiously round the bike leg and handed over to Tom who sprinted off on the run. We decided as a team to all run the final leg together, so after a quick switch from cycle shoes to trainers (and squeezing in a mini interview with @clarebalding 🤣) Menna and I sprinted to catch Tom and Chloe up and finish the race as a team. The run was the furthest Tom had ever run without stopping on his new prosthetic leg. He bossed it, as did Chloe who found a burst of energy as we approached the finish and got us all sprinting! We crossed the line together, with massive smiles all round. Mission Complete 💪🏻🥰
To those we managed to catch up with, it was lovely to see you, and to those we missed, see you soon!
Thank you to all the volunteers for making it happen (especially @nomadmum and Chris 😘) and thank you to @marvel for sponsoring the event and helping us look like superheroes for the day 💃 Finally, huge congrats to the wonderful creator of the @superhero_series Sophia Warner and your team for putting on another legendary event. It is genuinely my favourite sporting event of the year! See you in 12 months 🥰🤪 🚴🏻♀️🏊🏻♀️🏃🏼♂️

TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT!
Can't wait to see you all at Bar Cleveland with Jason Dean from Thinker Entertainment for an EPIC night of brain battling charity pub trivia!
All funds raised go towards funding the projects of Gennarosity Abroad - lending a hand to the impoverished communities of Kenya to help give them even a small portion of opportunity we have all so luckily been afforded in this life. Education and health are the underpinnings of opportunity for us, and to help provide this for just one person, means changing the world for one life. And one life and uplift a community.
Have you got your tickets? Link in bio!

It’s so hard to think of things you like about yourself, especially when your not feeling great. So today lets take a moment to consider just how amazing our ‘mum bodies’ really are.
Today, I'd like to shine some light on a social platform that celebrates the good in people and every day acts of kindness that makes us human.@humanit.e.ig
If you're not currently following them, please take a moment to do so.
Per their website:
Humanit-e has been created to act as a platform to inspire kindness and give an opportunity to appreciate others, turning the current model of inward focused social media on it's head and instead encouraging individuals to look outwards towards each other. As humans it is natural for us to seek validation and approval through others; we want acknowledgement, we want acceptance and we want people to recognise the good in us. However, the current paradigm.
We're all in this together. Let's support each other as much as we can. Good begets more good. ♥️☺️

We are grateful for every dollar donated. But did you know that your generosity has the potential to be doubled, tripled, or even quadrupled? Check to see if your employer offers a matching gift program → http://spr.ly/6177E2zCl
There is power in kindness. What we choose to do with that power can make a phenomenal difference to someone’s life and we should never underestimate that.
The kindness, service and compassion shown by our Visionaries, volunteers and donors is powerful. Their efforts have enabled sight to be retained and in many cases, their efforts have saved lives.
It is deeply humbling to help someone who perhaps cannot help themselves due to poverty, lack of resources or poor health. The joy that comes from helping those in these situations is overwhelming.
If it is the right time for you to project your kindness, compassion and POWER into something new, please contact us. We would love to connect with you.
