When they lied on my name ... I still prayed for them
When they stole from me...I still prayed for them
When they abused my loyalty... I still prayed for them
When you're anointed you can't do them how they do you. I had to learn to take my hurt to the altar and pray that God forgives them. It made me wiser and stronger.

Prayer is powerful! God covers us, and we get to cover each other. 💛
We have received overwhelming grace and acceptance despite our constant failings. Let us extend that same patience to others‘ process. We are all trying our best. . #LoveEachOtherInOurWeaknesses

It’s amazing how at 2 years and 2 months old we can already see such personalities in our girls! Lainey is an independent firecracker and Emmy is a sweet, sensitive spirit. Just when we start to figure out how to parent one, they switch it up on us! They are both a sweet reminder that we have no control, God creates each one of us in such a unique way that reflects Him, and we have no control (wait, did I say that already?!)! I also have to remind myself that I am the mom that was created just for them. All of my life experiences have led me to be the perfect mom for them (read: not the perfect mom, but the perfect one for MY babies!) even when I feel like I’m failing. Remember, you are the perfect mom for your babies too! Happy Friday! •

🎉CELEBRATING YOUR FRIENDS IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPACTFUL THINGS YOU CAN DO🎉
Tweeted this the other night & felt like sharing it here! It’s SO important for us to CELEBRATE our friends!!! Cheer them on when they’re winning & remind them of how freaking amazing they are when life may be so hard that they forget! ⠀⠀
I’m REALLY big on this!! I cheer my friends on ALL day, EVERYDAY!! I send encouraging texts out the blue OFTEN! I’ve ALSO realized that it’s important for ME to have these kind of people in MY life as well! ⠀⠀
VULNERABLE MOMENT: My love language is WORDS OF AFFIRMATION; & I’m not afraid to admit that l literally feel LOVED when my friends CELEBRATE me with their WORDS! When I don’t receive that, it can cause me to not feel as loved by them; & I have to be courageous enough to communicate that! (Sometimes I HATE this is my love language😂) Even if it’s not their love language, they can LEARN mine; & love me well! That’s what I INTENTIONALLY do for them. ⠀⠀
So, flood your friends life with support today! Tell them how amazing they are in PRIVATE & in PUBLIC! Learn eachothers love languages so you can each feel loved by one another! CELEBRATE YOUR FRIENDS!!!🎉🎉🎉
⠀⠀ ✨Tag 2-3 friends who celebrate YOU & tell them “THANK YOU!” Also, what’s your love language? Share below👇🏾✨
Culture tell us we have to be special, different, unique, and set apart.. but we already are! 🙌🏾🙌🏾 The simple fact alone that God knows your name sets you apart. It can be so easy to get caught up in this internet ish. The pressure to be poppin. Offset said it’s no cure for the IG disease, and I feel him. But baby girl you’re already poppin! You’ve always been special. And if you don’t get another like or acknowledgement from the people on the internet who won’t be there for you when life hits you, it’s still true. Do it for purpose, not proof. 💕💕

My mind knows this truth but my heart fails in the assurance. ‘Oh, Ye of little faith.’ Yes, that is I. Knowing that we can pray and petition God for the gift of faith. The Bible says we can grow in our faith, this pushes me towards my goal. The race I run. I run towards heaven. I’m heaven bound but I could do it with a lot more ease, with a little more faith. There is nothing I can physically do to acquire more it. It is a gift from God. And so I eagerly pled for just so much as a mustard seed.
Knowing with my heart not just my head. That’s faith right there. •
Happy lil thang 🌻
Peace has been my anthem with trying to figure out what’s next post-graduation. Sometimes the best gift we can give ourselves is to just be present and refuse to worry about what’s next. Enjoy the now . Normally, I would’ve been stressed and anxious, but I’m so at peace with whatever the next stage of life holds. In due time , things will fall into place and I’m believing that this rings true for your life as well.💕
P.S : The Graduation Vlog is up! Link in bio.
He foresaw your every fall, your every sin, your every backsliding; yet, still fixed His heart upon you. 💚⠀⠀
His law is love. And He loves you!⠀⠀
Tag 1 girlfriend to remind them of this truth! 🙌⠀⠀
“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.”

Happy Friday! ☕️✌🏼Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.
Coffee + Kindness, FOREVER my sidekicks! Seriously though, being kind is so easy.....smile at strangers. Bring a meal to someone. Text people randomly and tell them you’re thinking about them. Bring someone coffee. (or mail them a coffee gift card. —if you need my address, let me know. 😉😘) It’s simple really, just treat others as you want to be treated.
Random Question of the Day! 🎉 What are your daily must haves? And tell me something KIND someone has done for you recently, or that you’ve done for someone!
Become Aware of Bi-Polar. Last year, I was diagnosed with bi-polar 2. Truth? I was relieved to learn that the way I was wired was directly related to an illness attributed to my genetic identity and factors from my environment outside of my control. After being diagnosed, I decided to be open about my condition rather than hide it away. 💊
However, you want to know the difference between telling people you have bi-polar in comparison to telling them you have cancer? With cancer people show up with casseroles. With mental illness people aren’t sure what to do. I get it! I wouldn’t have known what to do either. I still don’t know what to do other than I am deeply grateful for @hbo and @panerabread delivery.
The only thing more difficult than battling the symptoms of bi-polar are the medications I’m prescribed to manage my symptoms. One medication burned off the top layer of skin on my left hand. This most recent med caused me to have severe pain that radiated all over my body. Only laying down helped. So, now I have no bi-polar symptoms (yay!) but am dealing with nasty side-effects from meds (boo!). 💊
Being bi-polar can be like driving a Ferrari. When I’m manic I can do things faster better and with more precision than many of those around me. That’s how I did High School and College in 6 years instead of 8. That’s how I built a law firm from scratch in 6 years. That’s how I tried cases, wrote articles, volunteered on committees, made perfect Halloween costumes from scratch for my kids and threw big parties. People used to ask me how I do it all. Now I know. Then I didn’t. 💊
The flip side is the crash. What people didn’t see was the hospital stays. What people didn’t know was the suicidal ideation. I was treated quietly by a friend (an M.D.) but eventually we agreed I needed to pursue professional treatment. So I did. I admit this to you all now. 💊 #bipolar#bipolardepression#bipolarawareness#bipolar2#mentalhealthawareness#mentalhealthawarenessmonth#bipolarlife#lifestyleblogger#personalblogger#personalblog#christianblogger#christianblog#floraldesign#floraldesigner

“We don’t know what’s next, but we do know that He’s faithful.” -Aaron Boyd, YC Alberta 2019
When I look back on my life, one word comes to mind: faithful. Through every heartache, every season of grief, every suicidal thought, every loss - HE IS FAITHFUL. In the seasons where I didn’t know what was next or if I’d make it out alive & well, I look back to see His fingerprints in every moment. I see how He’s been orchestrating these things all along. I see that He’s bringing beauty from ashes. He brought it all together for good. He brought it all together so I’d be able to proclaim from the rooftops that He is good! He is faithful! He’s not done with me yet!
Y’all, there’s purpose behind the pain. In the seasons when you can’t see what comes next, I pray that the Lord whispers to your heart: “I’m faithful. I am turning your rags into riches & writing a beautiful story in this season. Trust me, My child. I will bring a testimony out of this!”

📖 Do you like faith-filled romantic comedies—with a cozy mystery thread? Then you’re going to LOVE Melissa Tagg’s newest book, *Now and Then and Always*.
An interview 👩🏻💻 with @melissatagg went up on my blog today where we talk about writing, Maple Valley (the fictional town where ten books of hers have been set), and this lovable and meaningful story.
I finished my early reviewers’ copy—review coming soon—in about a day and this is by far one of my favorites. Melissa said in the interview that she wanted to fill her stories with “familiar faces and places so that the setting would feel as much of a character as the characters themselves,” and with this stunningly beautiful, raw, and tastefully funny book, I can safely say she has done that.
*Now and Then and Always* releases this Tuesday, May 28, 2019.
Basically, please go purchase a copy (at an early-bird price) so we can yell at each other about how much we love this book.
❓Have you read any of Melissa Tagg’s books? If not, you can download a free novella when you sign up to her email newsletter.

I'm supposed to be writing, but I'm playing on SnapChat instead 🤣 oh well, TGIF. #workfromhomemommy
This time around I’m talking about friendships and the lows that a long term friendship—hopefully lifelong friendship—can face.
Friendships are a wonderful thing—when they‘re good. When both parties are pulling their weight and putting for the effort, friendships are a beautiful thing. But when one person is trying his or her best and the other person doesn’t appear to be trying at all, this can be a recipe for disaster.
Have you ever said “I will never move back to my hometown.” Well I said that phrase multiple times when I was in college and here I find myself nearly ten years later, on a hot west-Texas spring afternoon, standing in the very town I grew up in. I thought I had my life all planned out, but I’m so thankful the Lord has directed each step that led me back home.
If you are a new friend here I want to welcome you! One thing I love to do on Friday is to write down my joyful moments from the week. Sometimes they are simple and sometimes they are big, but they act as a reminder that even though I’m walking through a stormy season of grief I still have so much to be thankful for. With that being said my joys this week were...
1. Shopping in thrift stores downtown with my Mom
2. Date night with both my husband and son
3. Iced coffee on hot afternoons
What were your joys this week? Let’s share them in the comments with one another💛
Guess who is coming to town tomorrow?!?! Ohhhh my Mr.! That is right !! 😍
I am so excited to see Chris! For those who don’t know: Chris has been in Northern California working on three projects. So I can’t wait!
What will we eat? Stay tuned and maybe I’ll share. 😋

Hey, hey friends. If we haven't met yet, I'm Crystal and I'm a hope*writer. As part of #fridayintroductions , let me tell you a little bit about myself. I'm a counselor and Soul Care provider based on Portland, OR and I love to help women learn how to live vibrantly through Biblical forgiveness. I write, I speak, and I teach, and I love what I do. It's lovely to meet you! .
Today is #hopewriterday and if you're interested in joining @hopewriters you can find a nifty link in my bio that will take you to fun quizzes, some FAQ's, and give you options about membership. It's honestly one of the most strategic groups I've been a part of and it's a joy to share them with you. Message me for questions.💜 .
Dreaming of sitting down in front my window with it open and the warm breeze coming in and whirling around me. While classical music plays softly in the background with the birds chirping too. Ohhhh and the smell of a rain storm blowing in; ahhhh that sounds so perfect. That right there is my ideal writing day!!! 🙌🏼 📸 : @judyann413

Look at those waves, pure and simple. .
Something Facebook is not anymore. Raise your hand if you are tired of the fighting, the articles, the spiteful words, the selling that happens on Facebook. I know I am. .
My blog post is about social media, Facebook in particular, about how it no longer where people post long paragraphs about nothing in particular and everything about saying and doing things you probably wouldn’t say and do in public. Why? Because we don’t know how to talk to people in love anymore, to be able to share with one another without feeling hurt if they don’t agree. .
It’s okay not to agree. It’s not okay to treat people horribly because they don’t agree. Come on people. This is something I am passionate about. Really and truly. Despite being up most of the night with a sick boy, I still got in a 10 minute power workout.⠀
But more importantly I spent time in God’s Word. It’s amazing how much He is changing me, especially when it comes to how I view my body. ⠀
I truly believe that fitness has to be more than just external and physical goals. I’ve done that before, and in the moment it might feel rewarding but there is always the “now what?” ⠀
Or you achieve it and you still aren’t happy.⠀
I’m so grateful that I am at a place where I can be grateful for each day and moment. Where praising and glorifying God is more important to me than my fears and worries.⠀
If you are struggling with your fitness, I highly recommend that you take an inventory of your thought patterns. Are your thoughts line up with the enemy or with God? I am in the process of writing a free devotional on this topic that will be released soon!⠀
“but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory [as conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing your best and doing more than is needed], being continually aware that your labor [even to the point of exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose].”⠀
1 CORINTHIANS 15:57-58 AMP
I hope you remember this when scrolling makes you feel jealous.
I hope you remember this when you look in the mirror and you wish you could change the reflection.
I hope you remember this when you feel purposeless and meaningless.
I hope you remember this when you’re feeling empty.
You are here for a reason. Your heart is beating and your lungs are filled with air. You are alive. You’re holding on.
Keep holding on. You’re here as you. Please don’t change that, please don’t try to erase it.
God brought breath into your lungs for a reason. He surrounded you with beauty for a reason.
You are here for a reason.

Memorial Day weekend at the lake with my fam is one of my very favorite weekends of the year! Couldn’t leave home without a few of my favorite things.
