Here’s another little practice background I took a stab at! I actually made a pretty rough layout of this one a couple months ago while playing with colors (swipe to see that) and I saw it while scrolling through my files so I thought I’d open it up again and see what I can do with it! This was a cool little way to see some of what I’ve learned so far!
Here’s one of my more recent attempts at a background! This was just a practice for me to get used to how a background should feel for a tv show or short film (like @asinglespark2020 😉) taking into account the space (in relation for a character being in the environment), lighting, colors, and texture. I’ve still got a lot more to learn and practice, but it’s been awesome fun to work on so far!!
Small story to this. Pic 1 is the first of a set of 3 animal pieces a friend commissioned me to do for her baby's room. I'll post the other 2 later in the week.
It was an interesting experience and I learned a lot. Balancing the requests and design brief with what I'm capable of/wanted to do was rough, but I think it worked out OK in the end.
Pic 1-requested commission (elephant 😛), pic 2- initial sketch, pic 3- random colourize fun, pic 4- free paint fun
So made up that my print sold for more than the asking price. Hope all the money raised makes a huge help to all of the charities involved. @explorersagainstextinction
Adding the details to soul Cinders Armor. By tomorrow I'm gonna try to have this drawing done and get him started with drawing extra copies for the Stencil. The Lion O I did took 8 small Bristol board pages to prep. This one will probably take 10 to 15. Let's see what happens.
Working on the Dark Souls main and final villain. His name is "Soul of Cinder" I will be using this drawing and making a version of a stencil to spray paint it on a shirt. I how it works and comes out ok.
