📍How To Lose Belly Fat📍great post by my friend @jessijeanfitness 🔥⤵️
▶️Rule number one: *Avoid googling “how to lose belly fat” - the answers you’ll find there are about as accurate as the medical advice you’ll find...🤨
✅. If you can come to terms with the reality that it *will* take longer than you think and require more patience than you want to give, you’re well on your way to success! Seriously, this is they key!
✅. You will need to remain in a calorie deficit (where you’re burning more calories than you’re consuming). Determine your calorie maintenance & subtract 15-25% total calories off that.
✅. Reducing stress and getting adequate sleep!
✅. Avoid the cardio bunny trap - strength training will yield long term success, whereas cardio is more of a short term solution.
✅. Include cardio as needed to ensure you remain in a calorie deficit as your body adapts to your calorie intake and energy output.
✅. Again, PATIENCE grasshopper 🦗 this is key to losing body fat. It will, undoubtedly take longer than you think. But if you do it right, you’re much more like to avoid weight rebounding!

If you have never heard of Mount Lemmon, @tc.bukowski will definitely make you want to climb there.
I wanted to make this post five days ago, when @akornylak posted his amazing capture of Gabe Metzger getting the FA of this wild and airy roof compression line in 2002. Andy lived in Tucson in the late 90’s into the 2000’s before moving east. While here he captured the essence of climbing in southern Arizona with breathtaking artistry. Recently, Andy has been posting some of these photos transferred from film and they are not to be missed. Check out @akornylak’s feed, and if you like that, look at his blog post on TheBlindMonkey.com for a super cool story on his early days of climbing photography, with luscious images from The Dry Canyon (link in bio).
Here are a couple photos inspired entirely by Andy. @willbutt on G.E.M. Roof, 5.12, Mount Lemmon, Tucson, Arizona.

Great session on the new red circuit (V3-5) at depot yesterday. Here's a cheeky flash of one with a camera man for once😊
So happy to be getting back to pre injury level slowly, 💪
Loving my new rock climbing shoes! Seriously, they make so much of a difference!! Also, my hands are still so sore from today’s climb!! 😂 I’m ok with it though because I was able to hold onto a small crimp for the first time #gettingstronger I love seeing progress!
