  • @strongwateranaheim is finally open and I can’t wait to get in there and experience it! I toured the bar when it was under construction and even then it was already impressive. The detail they put in to making you feel as though you are on an actual sunken ship was awesome! Congrats to @blackstraprob and @hospitalityorchestrator - we can’t wait to come in and celebrate the opening with you! 🙌🏻 The cocktail pictured is on the menu...check it out!

No brunch is complete without bottomless prosecco and we were also treated to the signature Fico Fico cocktail made with figs (UNREAL) & Sailors Passion. 🍹

The Don Pedro ice cream cocktail dessert was soooo good, I preferred it to the sticky toffee pudding (shock horror) The interiors are also so beautiful, I literally can't recommend this place enough! 💕

Créé par deux frères qui vendaient des tissus, Byrrh fut à la mode jusque dans les années 60. Cet apéritif revit actuellement, grâce à l’engouement pour les marques vintage.

À coup de réclames très parlantes – sur certaines, des hommes abandonnent leurs verres vides pour gentiment « sauter » sur leurs femmes –, les ventes de Byrrh décollèrent et atteignirent leur apogée dans les années 30, avec quelque 35 millions de cols vendus. L’usine s’étalait sur 7 hectares et employait 750 personnes. Les Violet, Jacques et Simone, les petits-enfants de Simon, furent alors des patrons très sociaux, offrant congés payés, soins gratuits et semaine de 40 heures à leurs employés.

Chad Larson of Denver’s William’s and Graham mixes Byrrh with gin, lemon, port and muddled berries for a summer-ready riff on the cobbler that’s refreshing without being overly sweet. 
INGREDIENTS

Serving: 1

1 1/2 ounces gin, preferably Woody Creek

3/4 ounce Byrrh

3/4 ounce lemon juice

1/2 ounce simple syrup

4 dashes Peychaud's bitters

1/2 ounce port, preferably Sandeman

1 blackberry

1/2 strawberry

Garnish: skewered blackberry and 1/2 strawberry, mint sprig and a short straw

DIRECTIONS

In a mixing tin, muddle the berries and add in the gin, Byrrh, lemon juice and simple syrup.

Add ice and shake until chilled and diluted.

Strain into a double Old-Fashioned glass and add pebble ice or cracked ice.

Dash the Peychaud's bitters over the ice and top with the port.

Garnish with a mint sprig, a skewer of a blackberry and a half strawberry and a short straw.
