Outros desistem e voltam no meio da caminhada. .
What do you think? I’ve been recently exploring the importance of competition in our lives and this thought came to me. We can only compete with ourselves and who we are in the past. But then what happens when an external judge decides your #2 ? That can be in sports and in love life (when a girl picks another guy over you)
”Sue" regularly fought with her partner; she became angry whenever she thought of him. She spent years in therapy, before coming to me, hoping her anger would subside. It did not. .
- "Can you help me let go of my anger?" .
- "First, show me the anger you are wanting to let go of. It's not easy to let go of something until we know what it is." .
..- "What do you mean 'show it to you'?" .
- "I need to see your anger, feel it, so that I understand what you are trying to get rid of and why it resists your efforts to let it go. Can you make an angry sound, show me anger with your fist, tell me an angry story, or make an angry drawing?" .
- "No one has ever asked me to do that before." .
I have had this conversation with more clients than I can count. What are these therapists thinking when they go along with helping people 'get rid of' emotions without exploring what they are being asked to remove or understanding why it is so resistant to removal?
Thankful for the way the sun shined brighter and guided my journey on days i felt lost and consumed in darkness. There had always been somebody on the other side lighting the way for me. I know that was you. Thank You. 🙏

Fear is a liar.
Fear can change us;
it can make us hurt others.
Fear can make us compare ourself to others and what they are doing.
Fear is the thief of joy.
Fear holds us back.
Fear robs us of our confidence & worth.
I used to be deathly afraid and fearful of snakes. To the point of profoundly petrified. If I saw one I would be fearful for literally weeks. I would dream about them, I would look for them everywhere I stepped. It robbed me of living, literally.
Until the day I decided to face that fear head on. Snake is also a spirit animal, who was appearing in my life for a reason.
Snake 🐍 spirit animal shows up in your life + means;
Shed the old; new birth is coming. Face fears and do not resist changes. You’re about to go through some significant personal changes, so intense and dramatic that an old self will die as a new self emerges. You’re about to resolve a long-standing issue, one that has required a great deal of your attention, by seeing things in a new light. Transformation. The snake can represent spiritual guidance. The presence of the snake in your life represents that you are in a period of transition and it points to ways to promote personal growth. Snake could appear as a spirit animal when you are stepping into the unknown and need support to move forward. This animal is typically close to ground and can remind you to stay grounded as you move through changes.
When my fear was heightened and at its worst, this animal appeared to me continually! I was constantly seeing them throughout the summer months, and I would fear when the snow would melt because I was afraid of seeing them. It was robbing me of enjoying the outdoors because I was so fearful.
Ironically, when I faced this fear head on, magically snake disappeared from my life. When I quit worrying about it and removed it from my 💭 thoughts, they no longer showed up for me.
We should face all fears this way... head on. Whether with an animal, a situation or a person. When we face it, understand it and are aware of it - it dissolves from our life. We let it go, we accept it... we regain our power.
Don’t give away your power to your fears. Take your power back. 👇🏻👇🏻
