So proud of my lil’ brother Sam @iam_samuelsamson work in progress. When he moved back to California he was almost 160 pounds December 20, 2019 just a lil’ under 2 months he is 145 pounds yesterday February 18, 2020 with Training 🏋🏽♂️ Work 💵 and Eating healthier. We’re always so focused in the reward that we forget to enjoy the process and find joy in it. And I’m working on it with my bikini prep! I want to see my stage body? Of course! But then I think it will be something very short and fast, so I decided I want to enjoy every second of my way there! The soreness, the sacrifices, and the doubt moments! Without a road there’s no destination! So let’s enjoy the process and everything else will come❤️ Happy tuesday!
Body stats update as of feb 1st:
Muscle mass: 51,8kg
This is where i started my contest prep from. So basically my weight stayed the same, but in the meantime i lost 2% from fat and gained almost 2kg muscle 🤩 which makes it 4kg muscle gain since last may when i started prepping and 10% fat loss.
This proves that its possible to gain muscle mass and lose body fat at the same time (one does NOT turn into the other tho❗️) You just need a great meal and training plan shaped 100% for your needs + PATIENCE!
Also im super happy that i corrected my muscle imbalance that ive had been measured before. It was a slow process, my body changed slowly, nothing drastical.
And ever since my body keeps on changing. Consistency is the key 👌🏼
Dont expect overnight results. You have to put in the hard work, find healthy eating habits that feel like you could keep forever. Then you’re on the right track. (My previous post about body composition measurement is in my birth language, but if you swipe 👉🏼you can see my results, its the one where i am wearing bikinis)

Was macht Bodybuilding eigentlich aus?
Im Bodybuilding geht es darum, Muskulatur draufzupacken, das stimmt soweit - aber wichtig ist es an den richtigen Stellen!
Es wird mir nix bringen, wenn ich ordentlich zulege, aber meine Schwächen noch deutlich zu erkennen sind. Gerade im Wettkampfbodybuilding bringt mir das einfach gar nix.
Meine Brust war anfangs eigentlich schnell am Wachsen, aber mit der Zeit habe ich die Übungen dann so ausgeführt, dass es meine Schulter schont - dadurch habe ich die Brust aber nicht mehr richtig gespürt und dementsprechend nicht richtig getroffen.. 😅
Martin hat mit mir gesprochen, da ich ihn gefragt habe was ich besser machen kann und dann kamen wir darauf, dass ich nicht mehr Schulterschonend trainieren soll, sondern „normal“ trainieren soll.
Hier sehen wir das Ergebnis nach nur einem Monat veränderter Technik und 0,5Kg unterschied! ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
Mein Ziel ist es, dass die Brust, die bisher noch als Schwachstelle gilt, als Stärke zu bekommen! ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ #NextLevelChest 😈
🏆 COMP PREP UPDATE:
Two days ago I went for surgery to fix a phalanx intra-articular fracture on my fuck-you finger 🖕. Work related.
What they basically did is they put 2 steel wires in my finger to keep the fractured segment in contact with the phalanx. Wires will be removed in 4 and 6 weeks from now.
Due to the nature of the procedure, it looks like there's a very slight chance I will be able to have my finger perfectly straight again.
Apart from that, sure thing is that this was not planned at all in my comp prep, especially 10 weeks out from show day today.
I haven't trained for more than a week now, and looking at what the surgeons said I'm not supposed to use my hand at all of course but also sweat is a risk for infection of the wound and the bone.
Together with @coachtencate we're thinking about what to do, if we keep training it will have to be totally different from the intensity I used to put in and we'll have to incorporate a lot of machine work and the use of auxiliary tools to let me train without using my hands. It's gonna be a tricky one and it took me a couple days to realise that there might be a chance I'm not gonna compete anymore on May 3rd for the National titles.
Many of you know how much effort and passion I put in this prep since August 2019, only a handful know as well about a whole bunch of shit I had to go through to keep training and push forward, so you can imagine where my mood is right now.
This was the only competition planned for this year, if we have to cancel it so be it. I'll take the chance to focus more on other goals I had in the list. I admit that if it was an Olympia qualifier I would probably keep training with no fucks given 😂, but it's not the case. Health comes first. I'll keep you guys updated.

By popular request here was my January 2020, 30 Day Shred Challenge Before and After pictures.
Here are the details: ✅ 30 Days Exactly: 1/2/20-1/31/20
✅ Day ☝🏽: 16.5% at 32” Waist (circumference around the belly button, not my pants size, belly is typically larger Jfyi)
✅ Day 30: 9.5% at 28” waist.
Those were my body fat measurements using 4 skin total with calipers. (With 4 calipers it’s waist up)
I also got Dexa Scan and my Dexa measurements from waist up went from:
16.5% to 10.06% -
I also got Dexa assessments for my full body (upper body, mid section and lower body)
My Full body went from 18% to 13% (I apparently have 3% more fat in my 🦵 and 🍑) 😝.
These were the exact measurements from my Jan 2020 30 day Shred Challenge!
Here’s exactly what I did:
1. 💪🏽 🏋️♂️ 5x a week for 1-1.5 hours (Mon-Fri, no weekends)
2. I cut out the following foods: beef🥩 🐄 , pork🐷, rice🍚, noodle🍝, & 🍦. (My favorite foods essentially). Oh and I cut out alcohol 🍷 🍺 for January 2020. (I don’t drink often so that wasn’t really difficult).
3. My wife cooked 3-4 days and we still ate out 3-4 days week and had restaurant food and even theme park food. We went to Disneyland 4x in January, Legoland 2x in January, SD Safari zoo 1x and we were out of town 2 out of the 4 weekends in January 2020.
End results I ended up actually losing 9.5lbs of Fat and gained 2lbs of muscle in the 30 days!
Hope this motivated someone and just know in 30 days you can accomplish a lot !

Der neue Zyklus beginnt! Wenn man progressiv trainiert häuft man unweigerlich Stress und Erschöpfung an. Dies verringert die Performance im Training und erhöht das Verletzungsrisiko. Aus diesem Grund sollte man in regelmäßigen Abständen einen Deload einbauen. Dieser sieht bei mir so aus, dass ich vier Tage Trainingspause habe. Die ersten beiden Tage tun mir dabei immer richtig gut, aber ab dem dritten Tag vermisse ich das Gym! Zum Glück ist der Deload aber jetzt vorbei und ich kann heute mit meinem neuen Trainingsplan starten. Zu Beginn sind die Beine dran, ehe es morgen mit Push weitergeht.

Contrary to what most people may think, all my time is NOT spent in the gym. I know...bullshit, right?!? I shit you not! I actually spend more time outside of the gym working hard to fulfill my goals and work my ass off to achieve my dreams.
In fact, I've haven't been on social that much the past 3 days because of higher priorities. I've been busy preparing for my upcoming competition by meeting up with my coach @justin413fitness , getting my @npcnewsonlineofficialpage card, scheduling my tanning sessions before the show, etc.. I've enrolled in another Certification program (my third). I've secured 5 courses at @jasonphillipsisnutrition@nutritionalcoachinginstitute (Lvl 1 Nutritional Coaching specialist, Hormone Specialist, Thyroid Health, Gut Health & Mindset Specialist). I've ordered the finishing pieces to my home studio gym. Batched upcoming content. Worked on my online business account & client programming improvements. And in between all of that, I got my workouts in, cardio sessions in and my meals down the hatch.
Yes, I've been busy....and thats not all! During the past three days I've had an insightful interview with @examinedotcom (about my background & my thoughts on them and their program...which btw, is amazing. And they are coming out with more great stuff soon). I've been contacted by the folks from my favorite podcast, @mindpumpmedia (you may have heard of them, if not...get out from under that rock) and I just might be making an appearance ON their podcast (call-in). Finally, just recently was told by the man himself, @themarkglazier that they are thinking of featuring me in an upcoming "What fuels your passion" video. .
Yeah, I'm truly very fortunate...but make no mistake...I've worked my fucking ass off to even open up these opportunities! So if you think you can sit around and expect shit to happen, not make a few sacrifices, rely on others or think someone owes you something...you're dead wrong! You want shit to happen...you must get off your ass....and make shit happen!!! Hard works pays off...period! .

We discussed many topics that everyone in that audience could relate to in some way . And for many, it was definitely emotional!
We want to promote a positive , safe , and supportive environment for everyone .
We want each and every one of you to know that you all share more in common with eachother than you think.
Whether you are struggling or you know someone who is struggling with their mental and emotional health, we want you to know you are NOT alone.
Mental And emotional struggle is not something We can always see. But it is COMMON, and it is all around us every day. Together we need to bring awareness to it, and to help each other .
Too many people shy away from the topic or feel uncomfortable talking about it, but if we understood it more, we can start a movement to help one another more than we ever thought we could!😍 HUGE thank you to our guest speaker @kelly_johnson_lpc !!! 😍We can’t express how thankful we are that we crossed paths. It's become a lot more popular than it used to be, with the introduction of multiple new divisions over the past few years.
I was an athlete well before I started coaching and it has always been at the center of my focus - the athletes perspective.
The mistakes listed here are far too common, and the list could be much much longer.
I make it a point to discuss every aspect of prep when someone applies for our coaching program. You need to go in fully aware of what you’re getting yourself into.
Doing any and everything to win is NOT worth it. You may hear differently from your coach, but that’s the coaches perspective, not the athletes.
I’m competitive and I like to win when I compete, and I want my athletes to experience winning as well.
It requires a lot of work and sacrifice, without a doubt, but you have limits. Pushing those can cause some long term damage, both physically and emotionally.

9 week physique update • this has been the hardest prep journey I have gone through this far. Being sick for most of my prep, having sick children, working and gyming is definitely not ideal. It’s just real life. It’s been a crazy hard challenge for me to stay mentally motivated when the stress level is sky high and when my body just wants to sleep all day to heal itself. .
(Cross my fingers) needless to say, I’m finally out of the woods with this mutating sickness in my house 🙄 🙏🏽 and it’s time to start really digging in. After 4 weeks of —>😷 🤧🤢🤒🥴I’m finally seeing change, SO I’m happy. Life is good. All walking bacteria /viruses etc need to stay away from me. 🙅🏽♀️ like for realz 😄
been resting a lot the past week while recovering from my deviated septum surgery 👃🏼 Doctor gave me the all clear so today was my first actual workout back. Energy was shit but playlist was fire and felt good to be back in a rhythm. As @dburdz pointed out, “relax, you’re still thick AF” 😂🙏🏻

🍑 High and wide leg press -This stance targets more glute and hamstrings and less quad compared to a narrow and lower stance
🍑Hip thrust machine
*I forgot you have to rack it at the top so had to thrust it up one extra time😅*
-This is my all time favorite exercise for building the bootay ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🍑Donkey calf raise
-This was my first time using this machine and it was pretty good. I felt like I was able to get a deeper stretch👍🏼
🍑45 degree hyper extension -This is become a new favorite of mine as well. The key is to keep your shoulders and upper back rounded to take the stress off your lower back and place it more on the glutes
🍑 SUPERSET - leg curls x leg extensions -I’ve been doing these one leg at a time to focus on symmetry. You always want to start with your weaker side first and then match it on your stronger side ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
