Well we finally have water! I never thought I would miss my dishwasher so much! So just for fun, what’s the one appliance you couldn’t love without? Hair straighteners? Your dishwasher? Your kitchen aid?
got some new pillows on clearance from @target to add some more color to the outdoor couch. it has been so humid and hot lately that i have not pulled out the cushions in case it rains (because it looks and feels like it could at any moment). i cover them with a tarp. what do you do with your outdoor cushions? leave them out? cover them? bring them in? or maybe you save yourself the work and skip cushions altogether? .
Clinging to this scripture tonight. For anyone else feeling tired, overwhelmed, hurting, or exhausted...I pray this scripture gives you peace as it’s giving me tonight. 💗 /// “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” - Matthew 11:28

I shared last week in Stories how excited I was to finally have a PANTRY! My husband did an amazing job at bringing my pantry ideas to life, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! What you see here, the same setup is also on the opposite wall, so we have tons of organized storage now🙌🏼
I’ve gotten lots of messages asking to send a video of the pantry, so I’m going to “reply all” 😉 by reposting it to my Stories and save in my Room Tours highlight tab for easy reference💗 Goodnight, friends!

Thank you everyone for all the well wishes for Piper! 🙏🏻 we both have been napping this afternoon, her on a few more medications than I am. It was a scary & eye opening experience with Piper getting a rattle snake bite. When I first brought her in to the vet I thought she possibly could of broke her foot on a fence with the swollen leg and bloody foot. After some blood work at the vet we went ahead with the antivenom for a Rattle Snake bite. The treatment for a rattle snake bite can be incredibly hard on a dog but lucky Trevor & I always get the dogs the rattle snake booster vax every year. I am really confident that this saved her from an extended stay in the hospital fighting for her life. I am sharing this with everyone in hopes that anyone who lives in rattle snake territory gets their dogs the vax - it is very cheap overall compared to the cost of treating a snake bite for your dog. Plus the pain and all the mediations Piper is on for 2 weeks is hard to see.
This did come to a surprise for us as we have never seen a rattle snake on our homestead In 2.5 years. I thought we were safe with all the animals and kept acreage but please if you can take your dogs in for preventative measures.
Big HUGS friends 💖

Several of our customers have commented how much they love our cast iron stand with twine that we use daily in the store, so we ordered these cuties! ❤️
This blog topic deviates a bit from what I normally share here (and I'm not a professional decorator by any means), but I just HAD to share our new country kitchen remodel with you guys! 🤗
You'll be seeing a lot more of it "behind the scenes" in future blog recipes. We’ve had so much fun putting it together! .
What does your dream kitchen look like??

It’s not everyday you get to share seeing your designs and homegrown flowers through a Momma’s eyes. Love these pics from @melissatabbphoto of her little girl and our flowers. Such a sweet, innocent confidence. 💫
I love a good furniture hack! This ikea dresser is now my new nightstand! I added detail with trim Rex made from a few 2x2 pine boards with our @dewalttough table saw! It really was such an easy hack and I love the storage it gives! Dresser:@ikeausa Stain:@rustoleum Wood:@homedepot
Today on the blog I’m opening up and sharing how to embrace feeling lost 🤷🏻♀️🗺and ways to rediscover yourself, your path or the process. Normally, I tend to put a lot of pressure on myself about moving forward. I am always wanting to take on the next project so quickly that I never give myself the opportunity to take in the present moment. Throughout the process of sitting in the ‘what’s next’ or the feeling of being ‘lost’ phase, I realized negative feelings aren’t always in need of quick fixing🛠. Knowing my goals without knowing how to get there or what comes next can be an adventure in and of itself. By slowing down I opened myself up to internal conversations I once would have thought weren’t strategically aligned to even consider. For that, I’m grateful, and I hope you all have the chance to embrace these moments too. #newengland

Sweet friends I have not forgotten about sharing a finished Magpie’s room🙈...I have just been soaking up the last bit of summer with the big girls home...their first full day is three weeks from tomorrow!😢
So I will have links with swipe ups and a blog post coming soon, but I did want to share how much I love the stain and how it turned out on the sweet bed Jeffrey made. It is from @oldbarnliving , and I mixed two colors...about 70% color Farmhouse and 30% Weathered Gray...I just played around with colors until I got the color I wanted. I was trying to match the very old stripped pine on the top of the chest in her room, you can see the top if you swipe. I was so happy how well I matched the color!
I’ll tag the other sources, but will share more details soon!

We had no idea what we were doing when we purchased this ol home five years ago - but it stole our hearts and we’ve been loving it to life ever since!
Built in 1806 it originally housed multiple families who worked at a mill up the road. Later it was turned into a single dwelling home and we’re thinking that’s maybe when the addition was added.
These brick steps used to be the main entrance to our home. We imagine folks tying up their horse and carriage down by the stone wall and walking up this pathway to pop in for a visit, a cup of tea and some local gossip.
There’s even still the original smokehouse in our attic. It’s since been turned into a walk-in cedar closet but we can tell from the charred wood on the outside that at one time it had caught on fire. Oh if these walls could talk...The stories they would tell!
We planted these white hydrangea bushes at the top of the stone wall last year and I was so happy to see them bloom for the first time this season! It made me think of the many women who have lived here over the past 200 years...I wonder if they liked hydrangeas too?
Each home, old and new has a story! Tell something you love about your home 👇🏻!

I always feel so accomplished when I get the laundry done and get the towels restocked in the bathroom cabinet. 😉 Oh... and the carnations you see there, are now 10-days old!
If you're new to our bathroom, this cabinet is from the IKEA Hemnes line. Just had the trim put around it so that it would look built-in. 😊

The @havenconference starts tomorrow. For those of you who are wondering “what the heck is that?”, it’s a Conference for home decor and lifestyle bloggers and influencers. It’s a place where I can talk about my crazy job that I love so much and everyone in the room will actually know what I am talking about! (Most people have no idea what I do and think I work a few hours a day ... would you believe I actually work about 60 hours a week?). But for the next four days I am going to learn, laugh, teach and probably shed a few happy tears.
If you are curious about this amazing conference then follow along with me on stories to see what we do, what we learn and what I love.
It’s actually pretty cool. And I am one lucky gal to be able to do this for a living.
