I'm no mother of dragons (with this hair I'm close) but this new mother of her own baby dragon is a happy one. Kian likes it to.. He has the pulled hair in his hands to prove it

I also have to point out that being the new NURSING mommy I am.. I discreetly pumped twice during this hair session. Gotta get that milk!!!

check this hair diva out on Instagram. Blonde specialist for sure but she can do an array of different styles and colors! ( Maybe one day I'll cut my hair haha)

  • 🗣 Today I wanted to talk more on posture & pain considering my recent posts have generated (and continue to generate) such a huge amount of heat and 🤬 personal attacks
__
📌 It’s been ingrained in us that for general health, pain, function, etc. it’s best to have “perfect” 👨‍💻posture. However, the concept of “perfect” posture is actually much, much more complicated than it may seem at first
__
📌 Defining “perfect” posture is incredibly tricky. Further, forcing people to fit into those boxes of what we see as “perfect” posture or movements can actually cause problems and do the -exact- opposite 🙅‍♂️ of what we are trying to do by doing so
__
📌 In reality there is no true “perfect”, one-size-fits-all posture, position, movement pattern. ❗️At best we have patterns that are more and less optimal for certain tasks & body types. More on that in the slides ⬆️ above
__
❗️Two other huge things I didn’t have the chance to hit on above are
__
1️⃣ Posture is not as simple as some mix of strength+mobility=a certain posture. I can go dig out supporting studies if needed. But, if you’ve ever gone on a date & started out with closed 🙈off body posture or cross your arms when you’re uncomfortable you probably intuitively know this. & there’s actually more literature finding an association between posture and mood 😬 than there is between strength and posture
__
2️⃣ Our ability to accurately assess someone’s movement pattern is actually pretty awful. Experienced examiners can’t really agree 🤷🏼‍♂️ how someone is moving. Which makes sense – human eyesight isn’t phenomenal. What this means is that even if we could all uniformly agree on a –perfect- posture or way to move we have a difficult time 😰 actually identifying when people aren’t moving quite that way unless it’s really overt
__
📌 This is a pretty content heavy post but I hope it helps clear up some of where I have been coming from
__
👫 If you have a friend who could use this please tag them

Thanks for reading and have a good Easter weekend! 👍

  • Anyone who claims to have athletic development completely figured out is either too inexperienced to know better or is flat out lying.⁣
⁣
As a coach you are simultaneously trying to manage a myriad factors. Some of which you directly control:⁣
-Exercise selection⁣
-Training volume⁣
-Intensity ⁣
-Frequency⁣
⁣
Some of which you don’t:
-The athlete’s diet⁣
-Sleep schedule⁣
-Practice schedules⁣
-Lifestyle choices⁣
-Parents ⁣
⁣
The point being is:⁣
1) You don’t know everything ⁣
2) Neither does anyone else
⁣
So keep reading, keep learning, and keep trying to get better 👍🏼✅💪🏼

  • HIIT training is known for being an effective yet very efficient way of improving overall cardiometabolic health (PMID: 30255712)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But what I love about it personally, is that it can be so individualized and pretty much applied to any activity that you enjoy. (Also, I can't afford orange theory? lol)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Remember that you can MODIFY these 3 parameters to suit your preferences and apply it to the type of activity you enjoy (biking, rollerblading (yes, rollerblading), swimming, weight lifting etc)

It takes time to find your groove in what may work best for you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Oh, and please use a timer… it will help. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Lastly, talk to your health care professional before starting a new exercise regime of this intensity.

  • Sugar snap peas — or simply snap peas — were created as a cross between the snow pea and the garden pea in the 1970s. So, they have not been around for a long time. The garden pea (a.k.a English peas- the kind you find canned or frozen) is slightly sweeter than the snow pea but has a much tougher outer pod that needs to be shelled and discarded before eating.⠀
Crossing snow peas and garden peas creates slightly sweeter peas that don’t require the extra work of shelling or discarding the pod — the best of both worlds.⠀
Beyond the texture and flavor of sugar snap peas is a wealth of vitamins and other nutrients that help to improve the health of the heart and bones. Sugar snap peas are also convenient to grow and store, making them an inexpensive and beneficial vegetable option.⠀
What are some of the benefits?⠀
•	They can boost our immunity: high in beta carotene and vitamin A⠀
•	Peas are good for your bones: a great source of vitamin K,⠀
•	They’re the ultimate guilt-free sweet snack: Low on the glycemic index and won’t spike blood sugar levels⠀
•	They help prevent fatigue: contain 18 percent of the daily recommended intake of dietary iron in one cup.⠀
•	They up your daily fiber intake: contain 4.5g of dietary fibre and 5g of protein per cup⠀
•	They can help you see better: a modest source of plant-based carotenoids known as lutein and zeaxanthin, both of which are found in a part of the retina known as the macula⠀

  • When trying to lose or gain weight, a lot of the time maintaining your current progress isn’t always looked at as progress itself. Reaching specific goals can take a lot of sacrifice, persistence, patience, and much more. Once you come close enough to your goal or reach it, maintaining that new status IS progress! No one works hard for weight loss just to gain the weight back and go back to where they started before. You most likely want a lifestyle change and life long results!
_
So, here are four tips to help create and maintain your progress:
_
1. Create goal promoting, attractive, habits early on. For example, if your goal is to lose weight and you have an issue snacking in front of a screen, limit your meals to eating areas only and with little to no screen time during the meals. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Have a plan and give your body time to adjust before making moves too quickly. Stick with something and see if it works, see if what you’re doing is getting you the result before changing things right away.

3. Have a plan to fall back on. Life gets crazy and sometimes you can push or pull too hard and it may be too much. Having a backup plan can help you go back to more simple methods of sustaining your results. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4. Make maintaining your goal, a goal! —and, don’t be afraid to ask for professional help if you need! 🙋🏻‍♂️

Lets get after it 😎

There are certain people who feels close to me even though they're far away

I think it's safe to say, I appreciate what I have... but I also know where I belong
