“You have never been taught to become you. You have been taught to become “somebody“. All these years we have been taught wrong because we have never been taught to be peaceful. We have never been taught how to achieve peace of mind when everything is upside down. Our existence is not a peaceful, tranquil existence.
Therefore life has one simple challenge: act— don’t react. Calm yourself and claim yourself. When you hold up a torch, it takes away the darkness for a long distance. When you reflect, your psyche takes away indifference.
Every person has the right of progression and every progressive self has to have a definite discipline so that he or she can create a frequency and a projection. Because the power is inside us. We have to work with our own neurological system. Meditation is for nothing else but to set up the neurological balance. It’s very incorrectly taught in the west. They think meditation means something. It’s nothing. It’s simply to set up the glandular and neurological balance.
The time has come. Become your own master. Stop chasing masters. Be you. In the beginning, in the middle, in the end, it is you and you alone. Live well in your inner peace, and your inner strength and when you feel weak, call on your soul, your friend.
If you sit down and breathe one breath a minute, in exactly 30 seconds, you will find you are talking to yourself. In three minutes you can get over any kind of mood that a psychiatrist cannot get you out of for centuries. Why are you suffering?” Yogi Bhajan
Loves, find yourself in yourself. It is necessity. It is major. It takes having a practice. It takes discipline. It takes giving a shit. It takes full responsibility for your life and ALL of your suffering. You are the power. You are the light. You are connected to all that is. You, are infinite. Find yourself in yourself. Know thyself. Peace will come with you, and love will surround you. It starts with the breath. It starts with daily practice. All else will find you. Sat nam.

RepostBy @honeylarochelle: "So many folks hit me with the contest link and I had such a vibe goin I felt like what the hell?! It’s last minute but let’s give it a shot real quick. My girl @Drinxdrin came through and we went for it.

We tried taping a #tinydesk contest video but realized that the deadline was midnight on the east coast and not LA time! 🤦🏽♀️😢😪🤷🏽♀️🥺🤓😆😳😲 @npr please reconsider." (via #InstaRepost@AppsKottage)
I had a couple that will be getting married really soon, ask me to paint something big for their new home! I was given free reign to paint whatever imagery I got for their marriage. So here is the final piece! “A Promise Kept” acrylic on canvas 24x48in 🎨 A declaration of God’s faithfulness to His promises. 🌈

As a small business owner, of handmade accessories, I “get” the effort, time, skill, motivation, and hard work, day in and day out, it takes. You have to know or learn skills in so many different areas. Technology, marketing, social media, accounting, analytics, SEO’s, customer service, current and upcoming fashion trends, self-promotion (which I hate), building a brand, creating a logo, packaging, shipping, pricing, inventory tracking, wholesale purchasing, taxes, licenses and liability... that’s just the tip of the iceberg .
You will fail, more than you succeed. Choosing fabric, thread, elastic, shipping materials, even tissue paper... all of those decisions have to be made; and you will take it more seriously than anyone will ever realize. You will pour your heart and soul, into every stitch, every cut, every product. You will feel the highs, and you will feels the lows. Both feelings will be magnified because it’s your passion; it’s what makes you, you. Your desire to create, will drive you, inspire you, keep you up at night. When you fail, you will question if it’s all worth it; or if this is really what you were born to do. Every time, you will come back to the conclusion, that regardless of failure or success, fame, fortune, or poverty, this is who you are, this is what you were born to do .
I get it. People who are not “makers”, or who don’t have a passion for creativity, have no clue. They don’t understand how saying, they could get the same thing at Target or off Amazon, for a cheaper price, is the equivalent of telling you, you are worthless. They have no idea the hours spent thinking, researching, designing, measuring, cutting, sewing, photographing... They have no idea the sacrifices you’ve made, the money you’ve lost, or the years you have spent developing, honing, mastering your craft .
So, to all the other makers, small business owners, or anyone with a passion for creativity... keep doing what you are doing. I respect and admire all of you😘 .
Day2 - Painting is the most wonderful thing, I can’t believe I went 20 years without picking up a brush. When I think about how much pure joy I derive from the creative process..I just feel so lucky to have this gift in my life now.🌞🌈 SUNSHINE & RAINBOWS baby!!!!
